A philosophical theory on Hell, that a friend and I discussed before.

A good friend of mine, and I, often discuss religious matters; the mysteries of things, speculating and sharing.

But in one of these discussions I discussed my reasoning on Hell, what it was like, and some speculations on it.  IE: "How is it that?".

Well, I had come to a conclusion concerning Hell, that it was a part of Reality (God's created existence), but that it was the place which the "spiritually-psychotic" where held away from those who where "spiritually sane".  In essence, those whom by spiritual psychosis (being detatched from reality, or in this case: God's reality) became so hard hearted, being left to their own desire to rebel, and follow after their illusions (their sinful lifestyles, and wants that where against God; or as some would say "God gave them what they want, a world without God"), that they would never wish to be in God's presence, but they could not be given a part of the inheritance of God's people - The New Creation.

I defined Hell as the "Nuthouse of Reality", where those who chose it would eternally perfect themselves towards perfect darkness, but never be satisfied being unable to obtain their illusion based goals (illusions being things that deviate from God's designed reality).

In this Hell, mankind being left without even God's presence to give them pause, became so perfectly depraved that they would torture each other.  "The rapist, would rape, and be raped".

The Lake of Fire was not the instrument of Torture for the denizens, so much as the denizens themselves...The Lake of Fire was the way by which God would maintain his perfectly just nature in the midst of a Hell, where the insane would forever sin against each other, never ceasing, and ever perfecting their perfect darkness, running further, and further away from God into their sin, and illusionary desires.

The Lake of Fire, became the all encompassing means by which God must purge sin...that never ceases to die, and so forever burned.

The Second Death, I speculated, was the idea that the Hellion (the denizen of Hell) became so depraved, and so traumatised, and so "mutated" spiritually, and in their soul (mind, will, emotions) that they ceased to "Be" the person they where on Earth, the person they where on Earth effectively "died", and would never return.  It is a similar idea, to what happens when a child who once laughed, who after experiencing a horrible trauma, ceases to laugh, their childhood effectively ends forever.

I even speculated as to what Hell was like as a physical, or spiritual sort of manifestation in comparison to our universe's design: The heaven's shows God's handiwork afterall...

I thought of it like a black hole, a singularity.  Where the people are forever trapped inside the pin-point space of existence, where even Light cannot escape (or be seen), and the gravity of it is so terrifying that it collapsed them all into an almost infinitely hot atom (that would be the lake of fire).  (the singularity inside a blackhole is theorised to be exceedingly hot, due to the massive density of it, and it would be something you could not escape without God's assistance)

As you can see...Even aside from the idea of Hell's physical black hole like existence...I had managed to grasp an idea of it so frightening, and actually Just in my own mind...in light of the Hellion's never ceasing by choice in spiritual-psychosis to never stop, or even limit their sinning...infact the opposite direction.  

It really bothered me alot, as you can surely guess...So much so that I put the curse "go to Hell" above even the f-word.  And doubled my efforts in interceding for the lost that I couldn't reach.  Hell truly revealed itself as Hell, and I wasn't so glad for its existence.

This is one reason I want to be absolutely certain of UR's truth, because I am emotionally leaning towards UR because I want my vision of Hell to be wrong!  But only if it is Truly wrong can I have peace.  If it isn't wrong, then well...it will be a bit of a burden.

On a side note, there is an interesting link between the Lake of Fire in this Hell, and the purpose of the Lake of Fire in UR: not a means of torture, but a means of ensuring that God's character of Justice reigns.

Any thoughts that might comfort me?  Solid comfort food I mean, if you get what I'm asking for anyway lol.

God uses the word word "return" because HE had "turned" man away to destruction.

After turning man to destruction God then says, "RETURN TO ME, yea children of men."

No offense, but it is actually a religious influence for you to have a "vision of hell" in the first place.

Find one scripture that talks about a "Vision of hell" and if you cannot do it,  there is your answer.

No offense, but it is actually a religious influence for you to have a "vision of hell" in the first place.

Find one scripture that talks about a "Vision of hell" and if you cannot do it,  there is your answer.

It wasn't a "Vision" of Hell, it was a philosophical speculation based on what we gathered.  Just to clarify.

As for the posts, they are comforting, and have answered (towards major progress atleast) the idea of a depraved-choice Hell.

I am reading Hope Beyond Hell currently.  And the more I read through, the more my heart seems to tighten and excite itself, and small, strange "laugh-like" reactions try to rise up.  Mostly when I read about God's work in us "The merging of his justice, and mercy", his corrective measures that warn believers that they are to be perfected by Him, not just "rescued".

I'm not sure what it is, but I can't help but feel more and more inclined with every line that this is true, and with it my philosophy of Hell vanishes like a nightmare upon the waking.

God bless Himself, for what seems like such a beautiful hope, that is quickly sealing itself into accepted fact.  I pray I will certainly not be disappointed, and that He will confirm it with revelation and secure me in fullness of faith. :)

Thank you for this site, for atleast this moment of joyful hope that I experience, in seeing God as Father of All, not just Creator.
