I posted recently about the Calvinists admonishing my brother-in-law to not "speak evil" against their beliefs. I'll post these verses, with insertions, in honor of ET.
1 Cor. 15:22
"For as in Adam the many [some] die, so also in Christ the many [some] shall be made alive. But each in his own order; Christ the first fruits, after that those who are Christ's at His coming, then comes the end, when He delivers up the kingdom to the God and Father, when He has abolished all [some] rule and all [some] authority and power."
1 Cor. 15:28
"And when all [some] things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto Him that put all [some] things under Him, that God may be all [some] in all [some]."
1 Timothy 2:4
"For this is good and pleasing in the eyes of God our Saviour; who will have all [some ] men to be saved and come to an increasing knowledge of the truth."
On a serious note...I ran across this today, that both times "the many" is used in I Cor. 15:22, it is the exact same "the many" in the Greek (I'd read that before, but didn't know the word). It's the Greek word POLUS. So with the word translated back into Greek, it would read "For as in Adam POLUS die, so also in Christ POLUS shall be made alive. But each in his own order;
