vision given to kid. Might be interesting to some of you.
From the mouth of babes.
A simple message to a child. "I made you"
He wrote it in a letter that was purposefully made to be easy enough for her to read.
o-o where did the message before mine go? >_>
I am fascinated by visions/dreams of children. I believe the purest childlike hearts are open. I have only had one experience like this in my life. I was around 7 or 8 yo. I was woken from where I slept in my room by Jesus. He said nothing. He just held my hand and guided me down the stairs to the living room. On the coffee table was a box. I knew I was supposed to open the box. I opened it and seen an evil reptile like eye. When I woke up that morning I told my parents and it flipped them out a bit. I had no idea what it meant and my parents had no idea what it meant. I wasn't given the interpretation until a couple years ago. I have thought about that dream all my life and never knew what it meant. It wasn't until after I was given the gift of sobriety that I was given the interpretation. In my spirit, I felt that Jesus wanted me to know that the devil had deep desires to destroy me. But, I was protected. The devil was contained and Jesus wouldn't allow anything outside of his will to harm me.
:cloud9: What struck me was what she said about the tiger being an angel. I had a dream of my cat last year and was surprised to see he was a little angel. The cat's behavior when I near death with pneumonia, was definitely angel-like.
Then I watched the video of the little girl listed on this same youtube page, that had a dream or vision of Gabriel, and her dream was about animals, too. Fascinating what He is speaking in this hour. Confirmation of many other things for me. Thanks for the link :thumbsup:
To me I think the animals represent Gods cherubims, for they were under something if I recall. Just like how the cherubims guarded the ark or how the cherubims guard Gods throne. I could be wrong though because im not sure if God used a tiger to represent a cherubim and there might be tiger angels in heaven :happygrin::2c:
I liked how she saw the snake enter into the whirlwind and how heaven was filled with candy and ginger bread. :happygrin:
Obviously this could be from God. Any thoughts on how one might test the spirits on this, whether to be pretty sure it's from God vs. imagination?

Isn't it possible that perhaps this was (mostly) a child's imagination and embellishment? I personally don't KNOW that it was, but IMO, not every dream, thought, "impression", etc., is us being spoken to by God. We're told to test the spirits. Maybe it's another thread, but anyone have any thoughts on "testing the spirits"/knowing His voice? I believe He certainly does speak to us. I also believe our own experiences affect our thoughts, including our imaginations. There have been times I've personally thought I might be hearing from God before on a matter, when it turned out I was either apparently wrong, and/or it was something that with further examination, clearly wasn't Him - sometimes my own imagination.
I'm reminded of some of the reported NDEs... oh well, I'm sure there's no 100% agreed-upon consensus. Lots of different voices - (sometimes in my own head :mblush:). :2c:
seems to be a christian familly and what part is not scriptural?

OK, so those are 2 points to consider. Would the christian family necessarily prove anything? I'd think that could be a factor in some way; she could be bearing good fruit that comes from a "good" heart, or she could be influenced from things she's heard that affects her imagination?
As far as "what's not scriptural"? - I'm not sure, that's why discussion is good. So I'd personally ask myself things like "what about 2 invisible lists?"; is that scriptural? :dontknow: Birthday cake? What were the lists exactly, one her and her family, the other "the world"? And the message is "I made you"? Yes, "I made you" is scriptural - do you think there would be a further point/message beyond that, or does that ring true that that's completely what those lists would be about?
I'm not saying one way or another. In the interest of "fair disclosure", I'm maybe somewhere around 50/50. The candlestick thing got my attention, but then some other things I found myself feeling unsure and skeptical. My wife also listening, was more inclined toward "imagination" than perhaps I was.
TT, maybe you could share more specifics as to what you'd think this vision would be about/address...or maybe it was mostly for the little girl, as Shawn related re: his own vision/dream...
I've just spent a lifetime watching those close to and around me (pastor, church members, etc.) believe they were doing God's will/hearing from God, etc., when much of it was apparently their own thoughts. I've done the same, so maybe I'm more cautious than some.
I don't need to quench the Spirit, nor should I discourage anyone, but I also want to be careful to not attribute things and special meanings, etc. to the Spirit, when maybe it's not.
Maybe it's best though to "err" on the side of believing... :2c:
OTOH, there's nothing I see that's either directly harmful or anti-scriptural.
It would seem to me, that God's purpose (as all things that glorify him are especially his purpose) is to personally show love to an individual, and family, and the world.
God knew quite clearly that the message would be aired on youtube. So it is very simple I think, a reminder to the little girl that will last, and a reminder to the family, and a reminder to the world (those who will hear it, and those who are perhaps desperate and really need something to cheer them up);
I love you, I made you, even a child can be useful, and powerful in my service...You don't have to be anything but what I made you.
That I think I heard her say also, the girl I think said to someone off screen; "I made you to be just the way you want to be" or something like that.
I think it would be presumptuous to prophecy anything heavy like "doom and gloom, end of days is upon us!!" or "Doctrine!!! New Doctrine!!!" from this video. As it is a simple video to edify, I think.
All in all, I don't think the girl's dream was all that important, at least when it comes to the parts that are for "our consumption". For us, only the key points are important, the things that the Spirit of Truth uses to bring to our attention. The dream is a tapestry, with different details that speak to different individuals as The Spirit shall see fit.
The candy and gingerbread heaven for the girl would speak to her as saying - Heaven is all you could possibly desire and more. To others, it might be meaningless trivia. While the tiger speaks to their heart thinking about the Cherubim, or even animals being in Heaven...yet trivia to others.
As for testing the spirits, if I recall - we are to ask one simple question and see if they answer correctly;
1 John 4 NIV
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
Good post, Lefein. I can see the edification part. I had thought along those lines a little, good point.
You bring up something else though, that I'd forgotten. I think it's important. It's this;
"I made you to be just the way you want to be"; and yes, I believe that's an exact quote, and something that didn't "set right" when I heard it.
So my questions/thoughts about that - is that scriptural? Is that what God did/does? Or is it, the way HE wants us to be? (I pick that one). Also though, I THINK, even with a "good word" or legitimate prophecy, etc., the human aspect can enter in as far as interpretation, and add or take away things other than originally intended. So maybe that's just "one little slip" in her personal accounting? :dontknow:
I also agree, when it's all said and done, it may not be some "burning bush" message, but as you say, more of encouragement/edification/comfort/reassurance.
I'm doing a little study right now, researching things like "visions/dreams [thoughts] not all from God"...there's some interesting info out there, probably not all from God. :laughing7:
As far as "one simple question - Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. I personally think there must be more involved than that (isn't this particularly about anti-Christ?). For instance, nothing in this little girl's account directly acknowledges or mentions Jesus. Yet, I don't think that necessarily means it's NOT of God. :scratchhead: Also, many of the NDEs are "on the edge", sort of close enough to consider as truth, yet something doesn't quite ring true...know what I mean?
Of course, there's differing opinions in my little research venture that I'm finding about how to tell the source/legitimacy. One guy has some interesting things to say, some "tests", but then when I saw more about his belief system, then... :mshock:
Well, interesting thoughts.
:bigGrin:
Well, as far as the "you want to be" quote, we do have to remember who the vessel is too. :thumbsup:
She is an adorable little girl-child. ^^ It'd be kinda freaky if she was speaking in adultese! xD
So, I think the margin of error in her presentation of the meaning doesn't really diminish much the meaning itself of what she probably meant. :)

This sounds like a job for *swish* The Berean Force!
Perhaps...it might be prudent for the assembly to do a deep study on this really important issue.

"he made you to be what you want to be"
Perhaps it is our interpreatation of it is incorrect.
To me it means that the grandpa wanted to be a better person and so came to Christ in order for Jesus to make him into the person he wants to be " A loving person" along those lines, so God in essence makes us who we want to be, through Christ. Because if we did not want to be changed by God then we would not invite him into our lives.
:2c:
That's a good line of thinking Thinktank.
...I like it.
No one really, really at their deepest honest to truthfulness genuine self wants to be a hateful harlot, not even Hitler would have wanted to be Hitler (he wanted to be an artist) things just...happen that way really, as we make our choices in "the now", which leads to our "later on".
:cloud9: Need to remember also, that He has to "speak" to us in whatever "language" or symbols we can understand. How much more so for an actual child. Blessings....

To an extent yes, such as how heaven or perhaps the new earth is described as a land of candy and ginger. However God also spoke mysteries to this child that is beyond her intelligence and even a scientists intelligence, such as the letter that God gave her is only made of 2 letters and is invisible, but somehow God imprints these letters into her very spirit, so that she can read it and then even recite it afterwards, supernatural huh :happy3:
New, and Old Testament/Covenant...perhaps?
