One day this fellow dies and finds himself in Hell. He was sitting on a rock while resting his chin in his hand when the devil came along. The devil asked why he was so down. The man replied that he was down because he was in hell.
The devil told the man that it wasn't as bad as he thought, that there were 3 doors to choose from. The devil took the man to the first door and opened it. Inside were hundreds of people standing on their heads on a cement floor. The devil said to the new man, "if you choose this door, you must stand on your head, on the cement for ever." The man said, "I'd like to see what is behind door number 2." They went to the second door and the devil opened it, and the man saw hundreds of people standing on their heads, on a wooden floor. The man said, "no... I'd like to see what is behind door number 3." So the devil took him to door number 3 and opened in. The man saw hundreds of people drinking coffee standing in about 2 feet of horse manure. The man said to the devil, "Yes, yes! this is better, I will take this door." The devil looked very surprised and quickly took a look into the door himself. The devil then looked at his watch and yelled into the room, "OK guys, coffee break is over, back on your heads."
I don't know why that one made me laught but it did! :grin:
The three doors are my last three secular jobs. To hear some Universalists talk and villify their previous lives in mainstream Churches, you'd think it was their last three Churches that they were a part of. For some people I've known or heard of, it was their last 3 marriages. So.....it's a universally applicable analogy :mshock: :grin:
More for financial reasons than any other reason...
