The author Upton Sinclair said that atheists are obsessed with God.
How can this be? He said the same way someone that goes without food(fasts) is obsessed with it.

The point was, as a group, atheists read the bible more than any of the other groups combined. :Peace2:
Didn't God say something like, "My Word shall not return unto Me void."? I have actually heard of a few people setting out to disprove the Bible, they dig into it, and then <poof!> they become Christians. Ivan Panin and Ferrar Fenton come to mind. Maybe we could compile a list...
It happens a lot Laz. Most people we never heard of because as you know, most people aren't well know. frankly, I never heard of either of Ivan you mentioned. I think Lee Strobel is one(former investigative reporter) he is a strong believer in and presents a very weak argument for ET. He has written several books. "Case for Christ" "Case for Faith" and a couple others.
I think I have a book by Strobel, but haven't read it yet. Ivan Panin was a Russian revolutionary and literary critic who set out to disprove the Bible. He found some of the wording to be odd, so he investigated the text in depth. He spent fifty years on the task, and discovered the mathematical sub-structure of the text WITHOUT A COMPUTER! His discoveries prove that the Bible is a unified document from one end to the other, and must have been written/inspired by a more-then-human intelligence.
What he discovered, in essence, were patters of numbers, and patterns-within-patterns, etc., most of which are factorable by the number seven. It is not the much-touted ELS code.
