Poem: These Signs Shall Follow (eye opener)

"These Signs Shall Follow"
​
Has someone bewitched you
And your mind deceived
Thinking these signs $$$$$
Shall follow them that believe

Take a look in the bible
Mark chapter sixteen
The signs there I've listed
Should be following

Do the words that they speak
Bring life to thee?
Do they open my mysteries
That you might plainly see?
And do their words like a medicine
Bring health to thee?

Do they talk in a language
Like another tongue
With words wrapped in love
Covering everyone?

Do they speak like an angel
Sent from above
Casting out devils
With my words of love?

And when they are bitten
By poisonous snakes
Do they shake off those words
And in their heart feel no hate?

This is the message
Now revealed to thee
That you truely shall know
Those that follow me

No longer listening
To blind guides deceived
For the sign of the dollar
​Is carnality...$$$$$$$$$$

Inspired words
if I ever heard any
speaking of love
and the saving of many

for words we hear
should always bring life
the words of hellfire
cut like a knife

in our loving Savior
those wounds will heal
for His holy Spirit
is given as our seal

continue in grace
for His love will not fail
His breath is our wind
filling up our sail

on top of the water
we walk through this life
by grace we are saved
for that is His might

By faith in the Spirit
to the end we endure
for the truth is known
our salvation is sure

Amen! Where in the Bible does God promise earthly wealth/power/success to those who follow Him?

Did the disciples have an easy life? Or death? Did he tell the young man who was looking for entrance into Heaven, I will give you wealth or did He ask him to abandon his wealth to follow Him?

32"Look, an hour is coming and has already come when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and you will leave Me all alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 33I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!"  John 16

Bound No More

Seeing the vastness ... comprehension escapes
Spheres of life ... before my eyes
Holding the last ... not wanting to breath
Bound to the atom no more

Taking in ... that which engulfs
Surrendering to ... that which sustains
The power of it ... overwhelms me
Bound to the atom no more

Renewed by ... that which was lost
Strength regained ... light became new
That which engulfed ... lay beside me
Bound to the atom no more

Taking in ... that awesome blue
Feathers above ... wishing the same
Sand subsides ... lifting me high
Bound to the atom no more

Where you've been

The lonely search for another place
Contemplating the space

Not knowing where they will be
But wanting to see

Well it speaks on several levels, but one that really speaks to me is the wonder that the world to come holds for those who see the death of the flesh as the opening of the window into the spirit, newness of life, worlds to come unknown and anticipated, perceiving the olam beyond the horizon as a glorious hope rather than a spectre to be feared. Not to mention the glories revealed to those who leave the flesh behind to seek the Son the realm of the Spirit. :o)

What I can say is that it was so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes, you gave it Spirit, you gave it life

It is only now that I can say I know how song writers feel when they hear their songs played
