Romans 8:20-21 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself would also be set free from corrupting bondage in order to share the glorious freedom of God's children.
Isaiah 11:6-9 The wolf shall live with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the kid, the calf and the lion and the fatling together, and a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze, their young shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play over the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put its hand on the adder's den. They will not hurt or destroy on all my holy mountain; for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

:cloud9: Cool! My favorite big wild animal is the Siberian tiger. They are gorgeous up close. There is a sanctuary for big cats north of Indy that I got to go to, that a guy started literally in his back yard in a residential neighborhood. Fortunately for the neighbors his compound is twice the security regulations of a zoo, lol.
But anyway, they are magnificent, and you can get within 8 feet of them if they are close to the fence. Their paws are what got me. They are bigger than a dinner plate. No wonder they can take down huge prey. Blessings....
For Cardinal...
A big tiger hug..

Wow. Those paws.
Definitely "dinner plate" size! :mshock:

I love to see animals that are normally enemies (in this fallen state of things) become friends. It's a glorious glimpse of a greater reality.
I see and feel God in a beautiful way in His creation.
"they will not hurt or destroy on all my holy mountain; for the earth will be FULL of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.." It's a beautiful picture.

Perhaps, it was the word HOPE that threw off the intent of this thread.

Hi! BelovedServant
Many of us in here were well aware of Sparrow's intent with the sharing of pictures: the restoration of natural creation.
It requires many multitudes of human vessels to express the thoughts of God; not a single individual can contain all there is in Him ... that's why it speaks collectively about the 'body of Christ'.
As such, I rejoice that Sparrow is busy with thoughts about the restoration of natural creation ... as this too is a thought from God.
Hi Sparrow,
I don't know whether you've caught this man on animal planet or abc, but he's an old guy who lives in the bush in Alaska and who has tamed all the grizzlies around his home.
I was wondering if you think there are some new things going on. I've never seen a man and grizzly hugging each other before lol.
I don't know how to put the picture on here, so here's the link.

Hi! Molly
Thanks for the Link!
It's an exciting thing to hope in God's restoration of the creation.
That's why a lot of us were so blessed with the reading of Sparrow's 'HOPE' Thread.
First He cleanses its king and through grace accepts him back into his presence.
Next, according to Rev 20:2, once the heavenly realm has been delivered from the serpent, the whole creation enjoys a Sabbath rest on earth. The Kingdom of Jesus Christ then encompasses the entire spiritual world and the earth ... now the restoration of creation begins.
This is why, in God's plan of restoration for the world, those who belong to Christ are also called the rulers of
this world and the
kings of the earth.
Hi Gilbert,
This bear man, if you can catch some video of him, really gives me an idea of what it means to have dominion over God's kingdom. He's a very gentle man, now at least, (he used to hunt), but he keeps the bears in their place, and quietly lets them know he's in charge. It's really different from Treadwell who, it was always clear, was a visitor in the bear's home and was never in charge.
These bears follow him around like dogs lol. They come, invited, into his house, and leave when he tells them to leave. It's really remarkable.
I've seen a lot of strange things like this lately.
However, I think I'll stick to my dog for now. :laughing7:

WalMart Cookies ... not to mention, Dr. Ballards Dog Food.
It gives a whole new meaning to the expression: "

1 How wonderful and pleasant it is
when brothers live together in harmony!
2 For harmony is as precious as the anointing oil

that ran down his beard

3 Harmony is as refreshing as the dew from Mount Hermon
that falls on the mountains of Zion.
And there the Lord has pronounced his blessing,
even life everlasting.

That was excellent.
a] bird bible
b] animals in the bible
That is what I Googled for.
If you don't know what exactly you have to Google for try to think of words that are in the article book for certain.
So for bible related stuff the word bible should always be included. A bird book without the word bird doesn't exist. So include that too.
Or google a common question like: What birds does the bible mention?
You will be suprised how often such questions have good results.
The book/pdf also explains a bit about the customs around animals. And that is what interests me. IMO those customs are closely related to the story of the Bible.
I'll do some more googling. Surely there are 1000's of articles but often very similar or of poor quality.
I'll post those links here or perhaps you can start a thread: "Animals in the Bible books"
I'll move my posts in that thread. That keeps this 'picture only thread' clean.
The Woods book is scanned. Meaning it's nothing more than 403 pages of photo's glued together.
You can't search in such books. I changed the book so that searches do work. It looks 100% the same but searching works you can download it HERE - link will expire in 7 days. I will repost on request. - 63 MB (https://rcpt.yousendit.com/742212459/6140d5f1fb56feedcbfa331af51241fc)

Beloved,
You said earlier you have no hope in animals...
Just wondering. This is supposed to just be a lighthearted thread of the hope of a new earth, and the different species of animals being friends (that were once natural enemies, etc.)
I'm kind of confused as to the pics you're posting here?
I'm not sure I see the connection or what you are trying to say?
You asked me the same question once before — just scroll back!
The title of the thread never mentions light-hearted levity, just pictures of HOPE!
:HeartThrob: :HeartThrob: :HeartThrob:
I know, you were talking about humility.
Just wondering.
The reason I ask is, I used to work in animal rescue and there were people who did not like us because they thought we shouldn't be wasting time helping animals, because there were human beings out there who needed help, too. Your many pics of Mother Theresa and the "no hope in animals" comment got me thinking maybe you have the same outlook. I was wondering if perhaps, these animal pictures were bothering you in some way.
I was just checking.
I like to know what folks are thinking.

The "Hope" in this thread regarding animals... is that:
"They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea."
That is what this thread is about.
Enjoying pictures of animals enjoying each OTHER with the thought of "harm or killing" finally removed. A picture of Hope. For one small part of God's creation... a picture of hope.
Peace in the animal kingdom.
In the new earth, death shall be no more.
The lion will lie down with the lamb.
God's creation is precious.
If you don't agree with that or don't like that picture... or see no hope in regards to animals...then sorry, but that's really what this thread is about.
OK, but you seem to understand the title of the thread not as I do.
If it is about animals; I missed it!

horribly wrong dude http://www.animalgospel.com (http://www.animalgospel.com) The son doesn't become the father in the faith until the whole Creation is embraced with the Blood of Christ beating in one's bosom for it. This is one of the main reasons why absolute power has been in the hands of so few Christians. Jeremiah 31:27-28 and many other passages make animals, under the New Covenant, emphatically the seed of Abraham.
Understood. Nature proves God. Romans Chapter one.

Quote from: Beloved Servant on September 23, 2009, 05:14:13 AMUnderstood. Nature proves God. Romans Chapter one. But pretty pics intended to evoke carnal emotions are vain attempts at spirituality.
It's not vain attempts at spirituality to write the vision and make it plain so that those who pray are able to run with it, once the revelation of the mustard seed kingdom reaching the point where the birds of the air can rest in it's branches is a living reality within one's heart and sets them free of all remaining hard images/thoughts of God that aren't addressed by the most liberal perspective of UR alone while speciesism predominates. The Scriptures are clear that this decade began the entrance of the animal kingdom into the liberties of the children of God. This very decade. Isaiah 30:23-26, and I'm thinking another proof text out of about three dozen that proves the timing of the Hosea 2:18 covenant is Mark 5:1-13, perhaps the 14th verse at the furthest with regards to the animals passing thru the water before mankind is totally delivered and in his right mind.
There is no rightness of mind, or heart, or motive, or conscience in a Kingdom of Christ sense while speciesism predominates. I'm needing to update the website I gave you a link to with probably about as much material as is already on it. I've even got a bunch of stuff for the FAQ page that needs to be added, but anyway, Isaiah 11 makes it abundantly clear that this is previous to the millenium because you've got a full armor of God reference in the opening verses of that chapter, and there is no full armor being worn in a context where the devil's been bound for a thousand years. And then you've got the explanation that's easily verified by about 20 other passages that the animals enter into the liberties of the children of God before the Israelites behold Him Whom they've pierced in the same way all of the rest of us have. The sacrifice and oblation have ceased thru Jesus Christ and everlasting righteousness has been introduced.
There is no animal sacrifice in the time period leading up to the millenium or on the New Earth. When animals are brought to Jesus in Isaiah 40 in the same way that little children are brought to Jesus in the Gospels, they're just as safe as the little children. It's not for the sake of cutting their throats. Book of Isaiah even talks about those that kill an animal at this time that we've entered into the exact same as those that kill a man. There is no difference, because again, according to Jeremiah 31:27-28 and many other passages the house of Israel and the house of Judah have been sown with the SEED of both man AND beast, so the animals are the children of Abraham per this New Covenant. Jeremiah 31, Hosea chapters 1-3, and numerous other passages make it abundantly clear that God's in the middle of doing in the behalf of the animals everything He did when it came to bringing Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs and wonders.
To Him, this is no different, and not a good subject to be on the wrong side of Him on when it comes to His SMASHING animal oppression [and exploiters for pleasure, profit, convenience, religion, and entertainment] and drowning
their Pharoah in the sea. Biggest move of God right now is in
their behalf because He must fulfill thousands of years of promises to the animal kingdom before His dealings can return wholeheartedly to Israel -- and of course, without dropping what He's previously done with Gentiles, angels, and animals, but continuing as a tsunami into all of it until the whole earth is filled with His glory.

Y'know it is truly spectacular to think of all of the countless creatures...it's overwhelming.
Do people even realize just how vastly outnumbered humans are, here on this earth?
WE are the minority. :laughing7:
The insects, animals, birds, lizards, fish... and on and on.
It's just absolutely astounding.
That He created all of this.
I think He delights in delighting us.
I look around and am so overwhelmed...and I know He delights in my hope of learning and discovering and exploring His beautiful creation which reflects HIM.
We can't even scratch the surface during our brief lives.
What wonders await us.
The study of Creation is the study of the Creator. :HeartThrob:
He is so wonderful.
Wow. The understatement of the century.
Quotepretty pics intended to evoke carnal emotions are vain attempts at spirituality.
I disagree. When I see these, or the Cross that I have on my wall I get flooded with emotions of hope. It is NOT the pictures that are the CAUSE of that hope, they're more like reminders for lack of a better word.
When I hear "How Great thou Art" I am almost overpowered by emotion. But it's NOT the song itself but what the song is speaking off. The pictures themselves have no power, no hope in them but they do show in a visual way the hope that is promised by God.

Did I make myself clear? I hope so because I just confused myself. :mshock:

Was wondering if anyone had seen this, as it seems relevant to the topic of animals, and is really beautiful:

I've never understood why it's considered an insult for a human to be called a dog. They've always struck me as naturally exuding a love that most humans could not even understand, let alone possess.
All these pictures are soooo cute and overwhelming I love animals!!!!

Mr Camel and Miss Dromedary were married
And in time a baby was due.
Said Mrs Camel to her beloved
'Would you prefer one hump or two?'
Little Miss Muffet sat on a tuffet
Eating a Big Mac and fries
Along came a spider and sat down beside her
'Yuck', it said, 'I prefer flies'.
Once, upon a thyme leaf,
There lived a lazy snail,
Who munched and dozed, and dozed and munched,
On thyme he breakfasted and lunched,
And when it came to half past nine,
He chose once more to dine on thyme.
Later, upon the thyme leaf,
Was a rather plumper snail.
But, reader dear, his life was brief,
For this is no fairy tale.
He ate more and more, and grew fatter and fatter
Until one day he exploded, bang, splat, splatter.
One minute he was there,
The next he'd gone.
The coroner's verdict
'A snail thyme bomb'.
You mustn't be fooled by their features.
They look sweet, and kind, and gentle,
Some would say quite ornamental,
But they're really scary creatures.
'Come here and have a great big hug'
She squeezes me 'til I can't speak,
Then kisses me upon the cheek,
Saliva, lipstick, perfume ugh!
It's Christmas time I really fear.
It's just the same year after year,
As I unwrap my worst nightmare,
A set of knitted underwear.
So this year I thought I'd treat her
To a gift which she could treasure
And would give me equal pleasure.
I've bought a Spiny Aunteater.
Plants demand equal time! :girlheart:
Plants may not have eyes and ears, but they can recognize their siblings, and researchers at the University of Delaware have discovered how.
The ID system lies in the roots and the chemical cues they secrete.
The finding not only sheds light on the intriguing sensing system in plants, but also may have implications for agriculture and even home gardening.
The study, which is reported in the scientific journal Communicative & Integrative Biology, was led by Harsh Bais, assistant professor of plant and soil sciences at the University of Delaware.
Canadian researchers published in 2007 that sea rocket, a common seashore plant, can recognize its siblings -- plants grown from seeds from the same mother.
Susan Dudley, an evolutionary plant ecologist at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, and her colleagues observed that when siblings are grown next to each other in the soil, they "play nice" and don't send out more roots to compete with one another.
However, the moment one of the plants is thrown in with strangers, it begins competing with them by rapidly growing more roots to take up the water and mineral nutrients in the soil.
Bais, who has conducted a variety of research on plant signaling systems, read Dudley's study and wanted to find the mechanism behind the sibling recognition.
"Plants have no visible sensory markers, and they can't run away from where they are planted," Bais says. "It then becomes a search for more complex patterns of recognition."
Working in his laboratory at the Delaware Biotechnology Institute, a major center for life sciences research at UD, Bais and doctoral student Meredith Biedrzycki set up a study with wild populations of Arabidopsis thaliana.
They utilized wild populations to avoid issues with this common laboratory-bred species, which "always has cousins floating around in the lab," Bais says.
In a series of experiments, young seedlings were exposed to liquid media containing the root secretions or "exudates" from siblings, from strangers (non-siblings), or only their own exudates.

They can even recognize people....
They have some sort of emotion.
There was a test setup that messured electrical pulses (or something like that) in plants.
Then a scientist entered the greenhouse and started breaking/bruising plants.
Electrical activity went up. The scientist left and the activity went down again (after a while).
Another scientist entered the greenhouse no reaction from the plants.
The scientist left and after another while the first scientist that had hurt the plants returned.
He didn't touch the plants but still the electical activity went up again...

Hi! WhiteWings
The above should not surprise anyone.
God is, after all, the author of all existence; including plants.
Everything which has life is governed by the "law of the Spirit of life".
Of course, the more elevated the form of existence is, the more sublime the 'spirit of life' functions within. (For instance, man is the highest form of existence in this physical world and therefore shares in a most stupendous 'spirit of life').
Indeed, God who is spirit is the originator of ALL that lives; He is king over all His Creation and therefore rules over all the works of His hands (eg: forms of life).
:cloud9: Let everything that hath breath (Spirit), praise the Lord..........Blessings.....

Water demands equal time! :girlheart:
Water has a memory. It forms itself into molecular structures depending on the environment. The structure of Holy water is a six sided star! Who knew Jesus meant this literally?
John 4:10
Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

That's awesome! I very much enjoy toads! They're awesome! I had one as a pet for about two years, when I was younger. It was sooo cool! It'd eat entire earth worms and would sometimes dig to the very bottom of its aquarium and you could see it squish its belly against the glass at the bottom (to hibernate, I think). LOL If he hate lightning bugs they would glow inside him, and sometimes he'd take "baths" in his little plastic bowl (of sorts). Aww, good lil' toady. That was his nickname: Toady. Although his official name was "Mr. Toad".
One of my favorite pictures of hope.
If I've posted this before, forgive me.
If it's a reapeat. Oh well, it's a good repeat. :laughing7:
Surprise! This one doesn't have many animals in it... :laughing7:
Just to paint the picture a bit...
look at all of these happy faces, from all over the world...
All these cultures... all these differences...
Now, imagine... all of these happy faces and this dancing because they just found out
just how much GOD LOVES US!!
The whole world REJOICING!
Every knee just bowed... and now all are rejoicing!!
He has just wiped every tear from every eye.
Use your imagination...
For those of us who know Jesus is the saviour of all...
this isn't just some dream. This is reality, ya'll.
Peace...
hope you all smile as much as I did.

So the rainbow bridge thing is quite dear to me.. :icon_flower:

Well the rainbow bridge poem has been around for a really long time.
It's a sweet little poem about where our beloved animals go... and how they are waiting to reunite with us basically. It's something that a lot of animal lovers find comfort in when their animals pass on. Well, there was just some personal things that happened with rainbows that put a smile on my face and pushed away the tears. :HeartThrob:
