Title: Out of the Body Experience
Post by: Tony N on December 15, 2008, 05:48:04 PM
This is a true story.

When I was in college one of the classmates asked if anyone had an out of the body experience.

I said we all have.

They said, How so?

I said, well we were all in our mothers and when we were born we left our mother's body so we had an out of the body experience.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I've heard it all before.  Everytime someone talks, screams, laughs, sneezes, loses a hair, exfoliates, sweats, goes to the restroom, vomits, spits, bleeds, or has a tooth, tissue, organ, joint, or gland removed: they're having an out of body experience; something's coming outta the body!  Does paying taxes count since some describe it as paying to/through the nose?

I thought that would be where the "arm and a leg" would come in . . .

Technically, dreams are an out of the body experience. I dream of floating up into the sky quite often.
Most dreams happen during REM sleep when the body is in a state of sleep peralasis. Night terrors are the exeption. They can happen in non-REM sleep and a person can become violently animated.

I hope some of the dreams I've had over the last 18 months, in particular, weren't literal out of body experiences. :bgdance: and that's all I'm going to say about that!
