I think of this line from Shakespeare's comedy from time to time. If you're not familiar, an inept constable has just apprehended some men who had confessed the evil they had done. The constable misspeaks (however accurately):

Dogberry- O villain! Thou wilt be condemned into everlasting redemption for this...

..a slip of the tongue! ..freudian slip.. "much ado about nothing.." ..much ado about a supposed 'hell' or eternal damnation!
