Title: Martin Luther insult generator!
Post by: DanielB on February 04, 2015, 11:31:39 AM
This is hilarious! To be fair it would probably be tons of fun to insult tyranical and uptight clergy who had probably not been insulted much! Can You imagine what the recipients thought? They were probably super ticked off! http://ergofabulous.org/luther/?

It almost makes me want to become a Lutheran!  He expresses himself with so much more color than E.G. White, and I joined her cult for a few years.

Or:

He's a Satan, she's a Satan, they're a Satan, we're a Satan, wouldn't you like to be a Satan too?

Isn't it interesting that in modern, feel-good Christianity, Satan, devils, and Hell seem to be less a factor than in the times of Luther?  We know there's no Hell, and Satan is just skulking around the campfire, not really dangerous (unless we leave camp), but we see his eyes glowing in the light of our fire, and get uneasy.  Get thee hence, dude... :punish:

Yeah in my old "modern" happy church we were told not to give Satan opportunity to strike by wearing a frown. Had to put n a happy face all the time and never talk about what was actually wrong. Satan had spies apparently. As happy and charismatic as we looked, people weren't happy and many people left because they didn't think they could be honest about their feelings. I've learned alot about Satan and what he can and cannot do, and have realized he only preys upon people who seek after what he provides, not upon those who are honest about their brokenness. Satan is there for the destruction of the flesh to seek after those who build their houses with pride and pleasure in unrighteousness.

Yes, the world is a hierarchy - God/Heaven/Earth/Mankind/Beasts - we are not a prey fought over by God and Satan.  No, Satan is part of the evil God created to bring about ultimate good.  Satan is kept on a short leash and serves God's purposes, even though he would like to be more than he is.  To believe otherwise is to believe by implication that God is not in control.  But He is...

Reminds me of my childhood. Biblical compliments as well... Upon accomplishing something, "you are too fit to eat with the pigs!"

:cloud9: Wow. No wonder they tried to hunt him down and kill him, LOL. Apparently he was over the, "come let us reason together" part.  :icon_jokercolor:

In those days hunting and killing was equivalent to being banned from the forum...  or is it the other way 'round  ;)
