and still be accepted in Jesus's own personal entourage.

  Dale you right !    I always figured   they had not received His  Spirit yet , the  Spirit of Christ yet   , the regenerated Holy SPIRIT    did not come till after Christ died on the Cross      that did change them  spirits   in them   
And Saul/ to Pauls as well   , He states here

Something's bugging me. I looked this up and I already have it marked in my bible. But some of it is in brackets and it says it is not in early manuscripts. [and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.

I know it's true because it says the same thing in other places but why the doubt about this place. Just wondering. Anyway, happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

Yes, in some translations it's there and in some it is not  :Chinscratch: but I do not find it listed in the spurious passage list. I have had that very verse on my mind even before this post.

You're welcome and I'm reading more on your page today and enjoying even more! :-) Didn't get to be online much,during Thanksgiving and around that. Helping Sis some and then a bunch of family here,at different times. :-) But today,got back on your page and reading some on the article,Christ Will Be All In All. Just through the opening and first chapter this evening and it sure has been good! :-) Love that scripture towards the end of the first chapter,where we're told that God has chosen the things that are weak,foolish and despised and that I well know! :-) For I was in the local church,from when I was born. Then a lost church member from 12 to 16 years old. Then God saved me and I was a saved local church member,from 16yo to my late 20's. Then God made a way for me to escape,the local church. But there and from 12 years old and up,I knew how despised I was,by at least some church members. And I thought I would be by all,if they knew everything there was  to know,about me.  But when God saved me,I then knew,how much God/Jesus Christ loved me. :-) But from my overhearing what some church people said,outside of church,I thought God had to be and was highly disappointed in me. But then God changed that for me,when I was 40 years old. That being when God forced me to turn to God,to trust God fully and when God took me out from under slavery,to church leadership,etc.  :-) So I well know what it means,when scripture tells us,that God chooses those things that are despised. For God chose me and God saved me and then,God continued to teach me. :-) And thinking of Joseph,in the Bible and the evil that he went through. Well,I've also gone through evil,in my life to date;but then,I say like Joseph,God meant such for good! God brought good,out of evil! :-)

As much as they had seen and heard from the Master, they were ready to go on "half-cocked," I believe that nearly ALL of what is being passed off on TV and a lot of religious christian bookery should be instructed with " But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of." The disciples,[at this time] as a good bunch of us today may not have YET "turned back" / "converted" but ..........

(CLV) Yet I besought concerning you, that your faith may not be defaulting. And once you turn back, establish your brethren."

(KJV)  But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.

Shev to Ronny - I am glad you have been able to read more, brother. It is interesting to hear of your experiences too. We are all witnesses of the anonymous, lowly vessels God chooses to show forth the magnificence of His Son! It is such a long journey, from the religious system to the full liberty of Christ, yet what joy as the bonds that would try and tie us to the system are broken, both externally and then internally!

Good point Micah! I feel as though there are many good reasons we all seem to be more or less hidden right now, but one of them is that we can be prepared and refined without the eyes of all men upon us, and our mistakes and growth can be contained until the appointed time. I say this because the system encourages novices to leap straight into ministry, and there they are on a stage for all the world to see, trying to lecture others while they are not yet remotely formed. Any mistakes they make affect many, and they have the pressure of trying to grow even while they already pretend to have arrived. For those apprehended of God, I believe there is a pattern of preparation in the wilderness prior to revelation in maturity before the world. This agrees with the stories of Joseph, Moses, David, and of course Jesus Himself.

I do believe they were of the Spirit of the law and prophets =John the Baptist   i.e  Elijah   

  I say this because of two  things , Jesus  called them the sons of thunder , it the sign of the  darkness and clouds   with Lightning   etc   the preparing the way      for the SON OF MAN  [JESUS CHRIST]     

  If you  read in the  scriptures of the peals of Thunder and especially in Revelations ...  and the voices of the  7 thunders

What do the seven thunders in Revelation 10:1-7 mean?    for me its simply   the roaring  of opening the seals 


  and  the second  reason was Jesus was there with them  He is the  SIGN of the DAY   and Light     and Knowledge of God   being  salvation

  for many they have yet to come    to the place    of being prepared    for me only this means all the suffering of  doing good  and suffering for it and doing evil and suffering  for it also       , this is where the discerning      of being wise comes in    with age ,  experience is exercised by the good teacher Holy Spirit and the need for comfort though failure  and humility , suffering humility
and I am still trying to  get there from here ,  being joyful   when in  trials ???    not working to well yet  :flowerred:

Romans  5 says this best to me  and still hope to experience this hope and joy  in tribulations
