Title: Freedom

Everyone has different ideas about freedom. Please don't feel you are being terrorized here when encouraged to express your thoughts. :doh:

John 8:32

Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

in song

FREEDOM IN CHRIST  Sterling, 1901

A long time I struggled with conflicts within,
I longed to be free from the burden of sin,
My heart was so wayward tho' oft I had tried
To yield up my will to the dear Crucified.

Refrain
I longed to be free, oh, I longed to be free!
From bondage and sin, how I longed to be free!

I heard the glad story of pardon so free,
And mercy abundant for sinners like me;
But pride was my master, I stilled my heart's moan,
And went on my way, feeling sad, and so alone.

At last His love conquered, I flew to His breast,
And cried in my anguish, "O Lord, give me rest!"
I heard His sweet voice say, "Fear not, I am near,
Thy prayer I have answered, thy pardon is here."

No longer in sadness or sorrow I roam,
My Savior goes with me, my heart is His home;
I tell Him my troubles, and all that alarms,
He whispers most sweetly, "Come, hide in My arms."

Funny, ha, ha, but the lady with her sign raises some deep, philosophical questions...

Which is better, freedom or submission?

Do Muslims really fear freedom more than bombs and bullets?

Is it wrong to question or to express yourself?

How deep, really, is the divide between Christendom and Islam?

I really have no idea about Islam and Christians..there are 'terrorist' christians[speaking of bombs etc

  Ireland,catholic/protestant..as well as terrorist Islmasist]...the lawless one will always abuse any freedoms

   some people can be in churches that have doctrines of eternal torture..but it never enters their heart.

  some people's hearts are so black they go about murdering and think they do God a service

     In Jesus Christ there is neither,jew nor Greek,freeman or slave,male or female...the freedom

of Christ that sets you free to serve Him...whose yoke is 'light' basically is designed to set us free

from the prince of this world..whose works are wicked[darkness]...that we may serve in spirit and truth.

   your'e gonna serve someone...now it may be the devil,or it may be the Lord..but your'e gonna

  serve someone......that song says it,as far as I can see.
