Title: Father...WHO?
Post by: jabcat on March 31, 2009, 09:55:14 AM
I wear a magnetic necklace, it's a golf thing...was also wearing a bracelet, began to wonder if there's anything more than hooey to it...did a search for scientific evidence and ran across this...too funny to not post...

"Magnet therapy is a type of "alternative" medicine which claims that magnetic fields have healing powers. Magnetic cures have been attracting gullible patrons for centuries (Mackay: Extraordinary Popular Delusions & the Madness of Crowds). For example, in the early 1770s, Anton Mesmer, a Viennese physician met a Jesuit priest and healer with the unlikely name of Maximillian Hell.  Father Hell :pointlaugh: claimed that he cured people with a magnetic steel plate."

That's too funny.  Tempted to change my username at the board to Father Hell :icon_jokercolor:

Magnetic therapy is cutting edge medicine right now.  At least in some circles.  The subject of an insane amount of study all over.  Tons of papers on it.  Sorta like the accupuncture that right when everybody rolls their eyes, here's the stack of big cure testimonies.  Magnetic therapy is not a magic bullet for everything, but an emotional balancer for some folks and an arthritis preventative for others.  Many other benefits to magnetic therapy.  I'm deeply curious about accupuncture and accupressure because the science behind it wouldn't begin when someone knew what they were talking about.  Did someone vomit and have to take the rest of the day off because they bumped their elbow on their way out of bed in the morning, or on their way into the car?  Did a kiss in the wrong spot cause the divorce?! :icon_jokercolor:  There's no telling until we understand all that's behind these different curative methods and why a needle here relieves pain there, etc.

 :cloud9: I thought acupuncture was only practiced by charlatans in the health field. Then the LORD showed me the reason why acupuncture works. The nerves are the transmitters of electrical impulses in the body and as such like His Spirit which is fire also. So they quicken or enliven what they go to. So if a nerve is pinched in the body, we feel pain, and the impulse is blocked so it causes dis-ease in that part of the body that it would normally quicken or enliven. So I quit making fun of those in that profession.  :mblush: Open mouth, insert foot.  :winkgrin:  Blessings....

Cardinal -->  :footmouth:

Many are charatans but indeed the background of accupuncture and accupressure is sound.
Also good when in a fight. Hit the right spot and light go out.

I've seen (open heart) surgery with accupunture blocking all the pain. But still 100% conscious.

Max Hell was only eonian.  :laughing7:

I thought you might like that WW...I don't know the site, but if you google him, there's several articles about him.  I see in Wikipedia that his father's name was Kornel Hell.

His bio is a lill weird. His name  Höll. He changed it to Hell later. But his fathers name was Hell. He had a two faced assistant.

 :cloud9: That foot thing, just looks strange, LOL.....but since the feet are the foundation of the body, though, it does kinda make sense from a spiritual perspective, knowing that our foundation is a man, too. Blessings...
