Title: Determination
Post by: ded2daworld on June 07, 2013, 11:43:00 PM
As a former sales trainer I used a story about what real determination means. I was reminded of it reading some other post so here goes:
The story goes that an army recruit at bootcamp was missing his girl something fierce. He read and re-read her letters to him until he just couldn't stand it anymore.
With fists clenched, he began running toward the gate to leave. The sentry shouted "Halt! No one is permitted to leave!" The private kept on running and the sentry said once again, "Please! Halt! I don't want to have to shoot a fellow soldier."
The soldier kept on running and yelled, "My Momma's in heaven, My Papa's in hell, my girlfriend's in Texas and I'ma gonna see one of 'em tonight!"
