A Page Shall Be

I was once a page blank
Upon which nothing was yet written
A pure and undefiled page
Placed within a ream
This ream sold to an author

This author one day chose me
Chose to write upon me
And he said
"Upon you I shall write great things"

As I watched his pen get closer to me
I was overwhelmed with joy, for I was wanted
His pen touched me with its ink
And the ink started flowing unto me

I was being filled with the words of my author
One day I was full and he set me aside, I was finished
Then I saw my author chose another page
And he continued to write

It brought me such joy and peace
That this page too would be filled
Filled with the words of my author
Then I began to look around

And I saw the ream from which I was taken
My heart sank when I saw that it was almost gone
Then I heard the words "look up"
And when I looked up I saw into the next room

It was filled with reams, reams of blank pages
My joy could not be contained
It leaped at the thought of so many more
So many more would know my author

Then I heard the words "turn around"
And I saw into another room
It was filled with so many people
And I could see inside them

What I saw was a page
A page written on both sides
Then I heard the words of my author
And He said to me, "You too were once a blank page and now you see the power of the word in what you all shall be"
