Title: A Call To Arms (poem)
Post by: Shev on August 31, 2016, 11:23:20 PM
A CALL TO ARMS

Mighty men, courageous women,
Marching forward, swords in hand
Christ the Holy Lamb is leading
Saints into the promised land

Fear no evil, faith unbroken
Piercing eyes and fiery hearts
Leave no word of love unspoken
Shields raised up to quench the darts

Jesus's words still echo on
"Against you nothing shall prevail"
Strengthens us to be victorious
Against the very gates of hell

Battle on - you sisters, brothers!
Straighten out those feeble knees
Our God is true - there is no other
Enemies shall turn and flee

Let us fight beneath His banner
Royal Priests unto the King
Feel His peace, though close to danger
Joyfully His praises sing

Intercede with earnest passion
Pray with all humility
Molded into Jesus's pattern
Refined into conformity

Still His Spirit urges onward
Run the race, receive the prize!
Behold our Lord with silent wonder
And His awesome sacrifice

Though this world spins ever quicker
Shaking all unstable things
The risen Jesus is the victor
Saints stand on all His triumph brings

Humble Christian - look to heaven!
Your redemption draweth nigh!
Every eye shall one day see Him
As lightning flashes 'cross the sky

When your heart is cold and heavy
Think upon the Great I AM
See the love that knows no limits
Manifest within The Lamb!
