Title: UR street preaching ?..is it a way to get the message out ?.
Post by: darryl on March 13, 2016, 10:02:37 AM
watch this guy..he's one of the baddest harshest ECT street preachers in America..judges strangers, provokes them into attacking him but he's tough and can handle himself..imagine a loving UR street preacher coming out and countering his violent message of hate with a message of God's love !..how kool would that be ?

...would be very kool..!   ..he'd have to use a lot of scripture.. for when the (meaning well) e.d. believers took aim..(?) (with all the good reasoning too of course) ...it would be quite awesome! ... :Chinscratch: i've been thinking along the lines of illustrated (mostly brief) tracts.. but now you've made me wonder about a youtube 'debate'..? (which reminds me i want to watch the ken ham, bill nye debate which is on youtube.. watched one with a guy i think named ken hovind(?) wow.. evolution hasn't a leg to stand on.. And neither does e.d..! no logic to it.. and the scripture rides in and proves it! and what a good challenge for someone.. to let the Lord arm and prepare them.. so they would rightly divide and speak His Word with complete (and peaceful) authority.. could be awesome..!

..finally watched the video.. couldn't make out some things.. what I did hear I couldn't disagree with.. but I didn't hear references to hell, tho they likely were there! the judgment he seemed to be proclaiming was of the national and also seemed like a spiritual fire.. (he accused ppl of backing away from the embers of repentance?)

So I subscribed to the channel.. I noticed a different street preacher using a sandwich board(?) saying turn or burn  oh dear.

..if man's world starts to crack.. (those tremors and birth pangs) there will likely be people seeking the Lord (a great harvest?).. I can't help thinking of the pattern involving the spirit of Elijah, i.e. John the Baptist in Jesus' day... the yelling 'street' (wilderness) preacher followed by the healing, loving, teaching Son of man.. 'hell'fire preaching followed by loving invitation..  :Chinscratch: could pray the Lord of the harvest will raise up U.R. street preachers..

Very interesting, I'm glad you posted the video link!  (an interesting phenomenon?)

p.s. i didn't care for 'brother Quincy' ...I forgot I was going to post the channel link.. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCuVxCKEOke8Byp2fkz5wSmw

bro quincy I think is causing more harm than anything else.. more in the flesh than the spirit.. at the end of one video they quoted from Jeremiah 1:9  "Lo, I have put my words in thy mouth." - double  on some of those words!  even some name calling.. people skirting around them in fear.. I may unsubscribe! or maybe not, maybe I can leave comments..

:Chinscratch: e.d. has exchanged "God is Love" ("love never fails"!) for "turn or burn" and the devout of it think that's a good thing! or that is, funny how some "on fire for the Lord" believe hellfire preaching is the true way.. John the Baptist preached earthly judgement "the ax is at the root of the tree.. tree not bearing fruit will be thrown to the fire" - his words were of earthly fiery judgment of 70a.d... but now hellfire believers think the reference was to a 'hell'... grrr. (hate untruth! praise God only truth will remain standing  )

yes, it is..I never noticed many street preachers at all years ago, before the internet, Youtube etc...now they're everywhere filming themselves, putting themselves on the net...hmmm, interesting..what are their motives ?..hmmm.

BTW, here's another well know street preacher out of Florida.

Interesting to read what the Apostle Paul said about judging non- believers:

◄ 1 Corinthians 5:12 ►

12For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? 13But those who are outside, God judges.

Paul plainly says we are not to judge unbelievers so what these judgmental street preachers are doing..standing on the public street judging and condemning perfect strangers going about their business..is totally wrong.

I agree.. The first one however reminded me of John the Baptist.. But I couldn't make out a lot of his words.. so hopefully that's not why! The rest I watched, yikes.. Too bad isn't it!?

I'll be back to watch the guy from Florida tomorrow ..Lord willing (as they say)  :

P.S...so strange.. yet I've never come across anyone or group who has it all right.. I assume this may include me as well.. :laughing7: (gulp)

I preached on the streets of Detroit and Denver. On the beaches of Florida. As a young evangelist.... fire and brimstone mixed with the love of Jesus. We led a lot of people to the Lord and He often confirmed the word with healings and deliverance, but we were like the disciples in the beginning. Calling fire down upon our adversaries along with other immature attitudes and actions.

All learning experiences on the path of discipleship and God knows who is simply misled or immature, and who is full of ego and loves condemnation and dominion.

If i could talk with them i would ask them instead of preaching hell, a spurious concept, why not preach the fall of modern day Babylon.. With Love and the full gospel of course.. But if they are (most of them) motivated by zeal for the Lord and the kingdom of God, and are sensing this fiery message "repent" or possibly "drink down the full cup" of babylon's judgment..  :dontknow:

How much more blessed to know the full gospel, and not feel that all who don't find place to repent and be reconciled before their death will be forever lost.. lost being a biG understatement.. In a strange, almost haunting way, it could almost be funny.. the irony, or slash that, the ridiculousness of the belief in eternal torment..

I preached on the streets of the South Bronx, when I was in my late 20's, maybe early 30's.

I volunteered with Tom and Lynn S. of Lamp Ministries, a Catholic Ministry husband and wife team. I got to know them, because I tutored their son.

We had a food truck and it was beautiful. We would bring it different places, and give out food and tracks and talk to the people.

When my son got to be high school age, he started to do those kind of things, too, and when he went to college, he ran the Midnight Runs into NYC, with food, clothes, tracks and love. Both my children went to New Orleans, to rebuild homes down there, with their Youth Groups.

I would love to do full time ministry, honestly, if someone would pay me for it, or be a part-time volunteer and I would be glad to hit the streets again. And, this time I would gladly preach UR.

But, tonight I have the flu, and the coach is as far as I can get.   :LH:
