Hey all. Just wanted to share a poem that my friend posted on her Facebook page. She is a really good friend of mine that I love dearly... she was a bridesmaid in my wedding... I'm not sure how to respond to this or if I should respond. I will post the poem and hopefully you guys can give me some input. (I'm not sure if she actually wrote the poem herself or not.) Here it is:

QuoteBlazing like a million furnaces, blinding light and scorching heat unfold,
You might hear about the love of Jesus, but most leave His furious wrath untold.

He Who was broken, miserable and humble, He Who suffered an enormous loss,
He Who has loved to honor His Father. so much He has despised death on the cross.

He has conquered death and stands victorious, galaxies shatter at His roar.
He Who has been slain as Lamb of God, will become the King and Lord of all.

Every knee will buckle at His coming, fearful of His judgment that unfolds
Every heart will learn in devastation of futility of trusting other gods.

Now today when the Messiah offers you forgiveness, be afraid to refuse saying yes
Didn't you hear, don't you know? Grace and Love unclaimed, have expiration dates.

:sigh:

Just write your own poem and post it.

I once maybe made this poem, never shared it before, it might be a good answer

Sheol destroyed and death defeated - Ge'Hinnom once a holy place.
Even the refractory shall rest, Jehovah God.
Through the blood of the cross, the whole reconciled to Himself.
For as in the Adam all die,
thus also in the Christ all shall be made alive,
that God may be all in all.

it's based on Psalm 68:18, Hosea 13:14, Jeremiah 31:40, Colossians 1:20, 1 Corinthians 15:22;28;55

Hi lomarah,

Just wanted to comment on the last two verses of this poem, they really stuck out to me,

"Every knee will buckle at His coming, fearful of His judgment that unfolds
Every heart will learn in devastation of futility of trusting other gods."

Yes it will be devasting, and painful, but it will be a good thing
               Isa 26:9 -
With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.
The point is we will learn righteousness

" Now today when the Messiah offers you forgiveness, be afraid to refuse saying yes
Didn't you hear, don't you know? Grace and Love unclaimed, have expiration dates."

This one goes against scripture, for we have this:

Look at Ps 118, every verse ends "his mercy endureth for ever."   Seems to me we are being told that Gods' loves doesn't have an end

We have scripture that tells us that God is love

And  Love never fails

People just don't fully realize just how AWESOME of a God and Father we indeed have

                          Gods' peace and Love

Thanks all. sven that was beautiful.
lookingup you said basically all the things I want to say in reply to her... the thing is I have already been rejected by so many people close to me, I don't know if I can take anymore of being called a heretic. I know it's cowardly and wrong but my heart is still quite broken. I know inside that most of those who I was closest to will reject me once they know what I believe. I just don't want it to happen yet.  :sorry:

Lomrah, I truly know what you mean about not wanting to tell them YET.

I've chose not to tell people "what" I believe, instead I be support to them, Love them, be kind to them, Hear them, comfort them, and hold out my Hand-Heart-Mind-and being to them in the hopes to drop  a seed thought, while not saying too much..

Yes, this is exactly what I want to do. If someone were to flat out ask me what I believe I wouldn't lie to them, but I just don't want to come right out there and start preaching to everyone, especially when I still don't know a whole lot of anything. I mean I know that God loves us all and will save us all and we will all be made into His image but I have no idea how, when, where, or anything else.

The other day I posted the parable of the silversmith on my Facebook wall and commented that no matter where anybody is, God is with you and He will see you to the end, and He will make us all into His image of Love. This I know, and this I can share. Hopefully it is enough to touch at least one person.

 :icon_flower: Kool.

I personally for self, I had way too much error buried in this earth that I am.

Catholic, Baptist, Mormon, Baptist, etc...

But.... The same things that I was shown at a young age,(48 now), I have stayed with in UR. What got me on my journey was a word study I started, and it all started with 70 meanings for the word 'made' in Ex.  (70) for one word. Then I found out I was being not lied too but {redirected} to believe in someone's belief system and not God... By mistranslated words.

Back to the personally part... I said to self "I" will not speak lies to others if I am not % 100 %  positive... so when I now speak, I personally know that it is God IN me moving the air-spirit through my mouth...or like this my fingers...
