For the last few weeks of teaching UR, i have never had a thank you from any ET believer....I have pointed out that hell was not a word until 700AD so Christ could never have said it. I have used sound reasoning, I have proven them wrong time and time again and showed proof in my favour. I have presented convincing arguments for the case of AION meaning an 'age' and not 'eternal'....I have done many many things, and never a word of thanks.
Now...I dont want you to think i do this for thanks, because I dont, i do it because its the truth, and with the hope that others can find peace in their lives and truely come to love and worship God for what he is....'Love'...And not a being that would infinitely torcher most of mankind....
...Yet NEVER has an ET believer said -
"Hey man, whoa, i didnt know all this stuff, wow thanks for pointing out my error, im really going to look into all you have said with an open heart!".
Agnostics have commended me, Atheists have congratulated me, Even believers in REPTILES (That illuminati thing) have said good things about me, but not ONE et'er.
I don't even know why Im saying this, i just am...For no reason really.
Have any of you ever had a thank you from a die-hard ET believer?
What happened and how did it feel for you personally?
HAHAHA! My the Lord is quick to answer prayers these days!
Shortly after writing this, i had a little encouragement...it wasn't a THANK YOU, but it was the next best thing...I was saying that Hell was made up in 700AD and a poster (Christian guy) said "You know what....your right!"
...Well its a start lol.
Maybe you should take a look at how come you feel the need to hear a thank you.
Not trying to be rude here, but IMO if you're teaching what you truly believe, you do it because you want to share the good news so others can be free... not to feel good about yourself by being thanked for something.
If you share the Word just to hear a thanks or to be 'right' about something, then you're doing it for the wrong reason.
Hi, your right! But I did say that i did not do it for a thank you in my original post, so you have missed the point a little bro!
What i meant is, why are they still holding to lies when they have been corrected and taught the truth? Rather than thank people for TELLING them the truth, they instead do the opposite and call us 'sons of satan'.
I just wanted to hear if anyone else had had a 'sucessful' experience where an ET believer said "Thank! I am going to go and study upon what you have said! Thanks a lot for letting me know the truth! This is so good news that all men will be saved!"
QuoteBut I did say that i did not do it for a thank you in my original post, so you have missed the point a little bro!
Just becase you said it, and made a disclaimer doesn't mean it's true in your heart.
You shouldn't be so quick to throw away someones advice...

The way you came across to me is, that you noticed they were unthankful as an observation, not because you needed a thank you. And I think the fact that ET folks typically will not respond with a thank you, is an interesting point. When you remember that ET plays such an integral part of their theology , then I'm not surprised that they would not respond like that. UR undermines their whole theology system. It challenges their core beliefs powerfully, regardless of whether or not they will admit it. And having core beliefs challenged is pretty uncomfortable. I think the last thing you will feel when being challenged to your core is thankful! My :2c: .

No, and in my experience with "die hards" , I was too busy feeling frustrated at their unwillingness/inability to understand this. Although, sometimes they will say something like "what your saying is nice, and it would be great if it were true, but....." , and I think this is close to a thanks. Because they are expressing how that this message does seem like good news and that they like it somehow.
Ok, I have to say... Friendofmankind... is TRULY a friend of mankind!
What he has displayed over and over in his posts and videos, to me, is definitely not the type of person seeking fame or seeking thank you's.
I believe he is only trying to understand where people are coming from. Trying to sort of dissect the state of mind of those who believe in ET so that he can understand these folks better. Understand where they are coming from. And seeing the reasons why they cannot get to the truth.
I agree with fullarmor.
I didn't think he was seeking approval, as much as exploring that it's interesting how people respond :dontknow: - which I think it is. Speaks to our differing levels of blindness, attitudes, etc.
I agree too, we are to share even if we get spit in the face. That's personally hard for me, but again, I didn't get the sense praise was what fomk was seeking as much as observing/wondering about people on the other end. I guess he can answer for himself, just didn't really strike me hard that way.
QuoteHi, your right! But I did say that i did not do it for a thank you in my original post, so you have missed the point a little bro!
I did see that when I read your post. The reason I wrote what I did is that I have to agree with Dallas on this... it's in your heart but you may not be willing to actually acknowedge that it's there. If not getting a 'thanks' isn't such a big deal to you, how come you would feel the need to voice your feelings about it?
QuoteI don't even know why Im saying this, i just am...For no reason really.
Because you want to be recognized for sharing God's word. If it wasn't a big deal to you, then you wouldn't have said anything and it wouldn't bother you.
Ask yourself this: Would you still preach the word of God if you KNEW that you would receive no recognition or thanks for it from anyone?
pssst.... I'm a girl... :icon_flower:
Maybe we ought'a ask what fomk thinks rather than assume.

Its just....I was always happy when someone corrected me, or showed me that something i believed was true was actually a lie.
I have done so many times with people and they have not accepted it...They will not change their LIES for TRUTH, they will not stare the facts in the face.
This is not for me...Its for them, i just dont understand it.
If someone corrects me, i say "Thank you", and learn from them.
That was what i was getting at...I really didnt expect other posters (not you) to jump on this and accuse me of things.

Perhaps because i am human and was seeking support from my brothers and sisters?
Because i WANT them to know God and not worship a monster,
Because i WANT people to seek the truth and not hold to lies, and to acknowledge that they were wrong (humble themselves in the face of truth), as they should for their OWN good?
QuoteAsk yourself this: Would you still preach the word of God if you KNEW that you would receive no recognition or thanks for it from anyone?
I rarely get a word of thanks from Mainstream Christians...and sometimes Universalists alike as you have demonstrated.
No I dont do it for myself, but because of God working in me to do it...its not easy getting critisized and called names almost everywhere I go on the internet...But i endure it for God and for the sake of getting the 'good news' out there to help others find the truth.

Basically if you LIE to someone - you would expect to be told to bugger off.
But...If you tell someone the TRUTH, why not be glad for that?
However i do understand SOME of the critisism about me on this thread, but hope it will not cause too much anger within anyone, because i am far from it.

The sad thing is that we cannot make them see what it is that we see, and it's not our call on whether or not someone does.
John 6:44"No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him..." NASB
God must prepare their hearts to receive the truth. If He hasn't yet it's not our place to try to make them see it. Yes it's frustrating when we try so hard, but it's by His will that people see, not ours.
QuoteBut...If you tell someone the TRUTH, why not be glad for that?
Because sometimes the truth hurts more than hiding behind what is familiar, even if it actually
IS wrong and they
DO see it. As I stated in the thread about people taking Jesus' word over yours, people don't like to be told that they're wrong and most people will take it as a personal attack on their value to be asked to acknowledge truth that they haven't acknowledged before, ESPECIALLY if it goes against what they have believed for years.

I feel that if i can get some die hard ET believers to accept UR, they would do good work for the Kingdom (because they are already happy to spread their version of the gospel everywher e they go (its a shame more universalists dont))...so i keep my eye out for the ones that will listen and not ignore truth when it comes to them so that the message of UR will get out there, so i continue to try to help them understand, however blind they are...Jesus came to seek the 'lost' and there are little more lost than they...But i understand your opinion too, but to the ones who are seeking the truth, i am there for them...Not trying to FORCE my view on anyone, on the contrary it is THEM who come to ME with their eternal torment doctrine....then patiently i try to correct them and teach them as best i can with what i know.
On another thread i said "I will preach to unbelievers but not to them!" Because i feel that i have been called to help unbelievers or those who could not accept the ET doctrine....Which is what i do, because like you, i dont feel we can CHANGE an ET believer per se...But when THEY come TO ME asking questions or dissing the universalism TRUTH, it is up to me to show them their error and try to help them find truth.....Yet not ONE of them has gave a snot for truth of any kind...Showing that the atheists, agnostics and those of other faiths care more about truth than most of Christianity.

Ever feel like you're bashing your head against a brick wall? They will continue to be blind until God and God alone opens their eyes. If someone accepts something you say it's because God has allowed them to see something of the truth in it. If someone doesn't accept what you teach you have to accept that God is still working on them and you may not be the one to show them the truth... that there may be another who will.

QuoteYet not ONE of them has gave a snot for truth of any kind...Showing that the atheists, agnostics and those of other faiths care more about truth than most of Christianity
IMO - This comes down to the warping of the minds that the ET church has done for centuries - it comes down people judging other people. As being one that spent all but the last year of my life in an ET environment I will honestly say that I was brought up to worry terribly about the judgement of other people, and if that meant that I can't accept things because of how I think I will look to someone else then yes, I would deny the truth.
From my own experience, I have had many thoughts and questions years ago as a teen about why God would allow people to suffer and be tortured for all eternity, and if God was really love why would He do that, but I never had the courage to voice anything to anyone because of how people would see me. I was afraid that my family would think that I was possesed or was in league with the devil because I was questioning what I was being taught. I wanted to know the real truth (not the perverted truth I had been taught) very badly but at the same time I wanted people to see me as a good little Christian girl who was strong in faith. Little did anyone know I had no faith of any kind. I wanted to believe in God and all he stood for and I outwardly lived that way, but at the same time I would rather be living a sham... all because of how people may or may not see me. I took the chance and lived a lie. I even laughed along with people in my family and at church at UR believers, and I pretty much had myself convinced that what I was doing was right, even though deep down I didn't really believe anything. It took me moving 10 hours away from my family, 3 years of being out of their ET influence and a VERY patient boyfriend who tells me the truth almost every day (and has for the past year and a half) for God to start to open my eyes. The truth I was given answered the questions I had so long ago as a teen and made me want to believe in God again.
Do I still strugle with believing in God? Yes. Do I still struggle with the truth? Yes. Am I still afraid of what my family thinks of me? Oh heck yes I am. Do I realize that it shouldn't matter what they think and that it's God's opinion of me (the truth) that really matters? In my mind I do, but it's realizing it and believing it in my heart that's going to make the difference, and only God can make that happen. I know that it is because God is slowly taking the veil off of my eyes to be able to see and believe the truth; taking me out of the darkness and into the light. Sometimes I still fight the truth as I have always done, I'm God's work in progress and eventually I see the truth... but only because HE allowed me to see it!
But WE could try to Speak God's Word to them, And the Seed may have a humming effect in them, I think it would be a worth wile endeavor to try to change a few... Brothers working together as one IN God.

Well no offence, but if you havent had your eyes opened to the truth yet and you still care what people think of you and struggle with the truth, and are even still struggling with believing in God in the FIRST place....who are you to critisize me?
How could you understand what you are talking about as far as these things go?
I AM a believer, hence I preach the gospel to all people as commanded.
A non believers opinion isnt relevant here.

Friendofmankind, I would like to encourage you. As you feel led by the Spirit, keep on talking to people. Other folks here made some excellent points about what God's will and timing may be for anyone we may talk to. And thats good to remember. We need to be sensitive to where someone else is, and how open they are to the good news. I think the Spirit will reveal to us as we speak to folks whether or not its there time to see UR. And its important to be very sensitive to that. And even if someone is not open to this, and you can tell by their spirit, you are STILL making a difference. Just because we perceive by the Spririt that someone we are talking to is not open, that does not mean the Spirit does not want to use you to sow seeds. AS long as they are willing to talk to you, go for it! View yourself as sowing the seeds of the truth to them. I don't care how negative their reaction may be, God at some point will cause those seeds to grow.
I think its when we make the mistake of being results oriented, we are susceptible to being frustrated. But when we remember that the results are God's business, then we can focus on preaching the good news in love, better I think.
I'm reminded of a scripture. I don't know where it is. It says "He/She who goes forth weeping, bearing PRECIOUS seed, shall doubtless come back again rejoicing, bring their sheaves with them"!
Let me end by saying that I pray that we all will be empowered by the Spirit to walk in love and wisdom as we sow the seeds of this truth to those who are without Father, and that we always remember, :crywipe: , that only you can cause the seed of this wonderful good news to begin growing in a persons heart. And we are so thankful for every opportunity you give us Father, to speak this truth in love to others. Amen!

Im just going to keep putting the message out there.
Im not after my own gain, of course im not, im after helping others see God as what He is...Love.
To everyone, yes i am new at sharing the gospel...I never shared it before because all i heard was BAD news, but this is different...I dont want anyone lost (without God), i want them all to come to a knowledge of the truth. I know its all done in Gods time, but at the same time, God wants to use me to do what i am doing.
I know i am in the right place (in sharing the gospel) because i had an answered prayer the other night which was truely a gift from God.
I asked him to show me if i was on the right track and he answered me by answering a prayer request...So i cant ignore that.
I guess i just want to share what i have found (a rose in a desert...hidden treasure) with others, and perhaps i am being a bit over zealous about it right now, but I just dont want people to suffer what i have suffered these last few years, i so badly want to get them questioning things and seeking God, by challenging their religious doctrines.
So as you guys have said....PLANT THE SEED and leave it there to grow.
I will keep doing that and HOPEING, HOPEING that perhaps someday some hardened et believer might say "Thanks for sharing the good news...I no longer feel like ending my life...Thank you for showing me what God was like".
NOT FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FOR THEM!!!
Real meaning really does get lost in forums, i really am sorry if it sounded like i was seeking my own gain. Im not, far from it....I get the crap ripped out of me everyday for it, called all kinds of horrible things. Told that they cant wait to see me burn in hell and all that stuff...If i was after my own gain, i can assure you i wouldnt be here, and if this is fame...then its not what its cracked up to be lol! Fame! LOL! That one made me really laugh....Famous for what? Being told im going to burn in a fire forever? LOL!
Mind you some ET believers wont even watch my videos...(I told him to watch the videos rather than have me explain by typeing out everything for him) (One of the many reasons i made the videos in the first place).
Sorry bro, not into that, its your decision if you want to believe it or not, Jesus is warning you right now, theres still time my friend, if you dont want to belive the Holy Bilble its your problem with Jesus, you r practically saying that God is a liar? cause, the Bible doesn't lie, look what its happening around the world right now, its not coincidence, the Bible had control of the past, have control of the present, and will have the control of the future. Your denying the word of God.
Im not going to force the issue with people like that...id never be away from the keyboard.
Yeah there is a reason why God conceals things.
When a heart is ready, then God's seeds of love will grow.
What you may not realize is some of the things that you are saying may COME BACK and ECHO in their minds in the future...when truth is being revealed to them. When their hearts are prepared and God does His whole gardening thing... :HeartThrob:, then bits and pieces of things you've said, may come back and be part of the nurturing the seeds that God does.
I remember things from my past, just little bits and pieces of things, people who seemed loving and kind and joyful, coming to my mind when I was finding the truth of God's immense love for us. Even something as simple as a bumper sticker I saw "love your enemies" from years and years ago that I noticed, came back to my memory. That bumper sticker that I saw was WAY back when I was still not really caring about God or even thinking twice about Him. It just stuck in my mind and I filed it away and it came back to me... when truth was being revealed. He works in such strange ways. :HeartThrob:
His timing is perfect.
And just remember it is not often that you will see the fruits of your spreading the good news.
God's plan is perfect. He will use you in ways you may never realize. But just know that by spreading His glorious good news, you are a light in the darkness.
peace brother!! :icon_flower: :HeartThrob:
:cloud9: What He gave me was, "Give out what I give you and don't look at their faces", ie. reaction of natures. One plants, ANOTHER waters, but God gives the increase. The hard part is moving on from whatever capacity we were used (either planting or watering), to let God give the increase. If it was up to us, it'd be instantaneous. But He has His reasons for His timing, and we just give it over to Him.
I've had more people come to me to ask me where I go to church as an opening line, because the things coming out of my mouth are not "normal Christian" things, so they are intrigued, and that draws them. Blessings....
Thank you, im really glad i made this post, as i have learned a lot from it.
And to anyone i perhaps offended somehow? Im sorry if i did, its hard to get the real meaning over at times by text, and i dont feel bad about anything that was said, and you shouldnt either.

QuoteEver feel like you're bashing your head against a brick wall?
Yes i do right now talking to you...

They will continue to be blind until God and God alone opens their eyes. If someone accepts something you say it's because God has allowed them to see something of the truth in it. If someone doesn't accept what you teach you have to accept that God is still working on them and you may not be the one to show them the truth... that there may be another who will.
And how will they hear if noone is teaching the gospel in the first place?
What you wrote sounds like a total cop out to me.
If an ET believer comes to me with their false doctrine, i refute it, as i have said many times. Why do you keep picking things out of the air i never said or insinuated?
QuoteIt's all on God's timing, not ours.
God commanded to preach the gospel to every creature. It might have escaped your notice, but the gospel being taught for the past 1500 years, WASNT overall the RIGHT one!

Do I still strugle with believing in God? Yes. Do I still struggle with the truth? Yes. Am I still afraid of what my family thinks of me? Oh heck yes I am.
Ah, so now we get to the bottom of it.
A non believers opinion isnt relevant here.
...But thanks anyway.
Where did I criticize you?
Where did I tell you that you were doing wrong?
Where did I say that you should keep silent and not tell people about God?
I have never told you what my whole understanding of things are, so how come you would jump to that?
What makes you think that God isn't working on opening up my eyes to things in my life? Because I struggle?
What makes you say that you are a believer and because I acknowledge I struggle with things pertaining to faith, or lack there of, that it means I'm not?
How does that make your opinion more valuable (or relevant) than mine?
If knowing how to really share with a non-believer would help them see a loving God, wouldn't you want to know their opinion on the matter to better relate to them?

I think the key is to be patient with everyone at getting our point across and not resorting to childish arguments which dont show Christ's character.
When it gets too much I just leave it for the day and try again the next, or i come here to be with other UR believers...But i always like people to know my 'stuggles' and what is on my mind to get input and knowledge from them.
How come when someone else shares their struggles it's okay for you to throw it back in their face and discount their experiences, knowledge and opinions?

I dunno. Maybe it's how do you thank someone for pulling the rug out from under you?

What I got was what looked like sinners vs Pharisees. The sinners felt enlightened "thanks". The Pharisees were insulted "no thanks".
:cloud9: Hitting someone with the truth from the Spirit of Truth is no different than when God spoke to Adam and Eve after they fell, and they hid from Him. It's NOT you they're rejecting/running from, it's the sound of His voice in their "garden".
Fortunately for them, that sound, even if rejected initially, will begin to quicken the spirit inside them and "vibrate" off those fig leaves they have covered themselves with. One plants, another waters. Blessings.....

Yeah there is a reason why God conceals things.

Hi friendofmankind. :happy3: I agree with sparrow and Card, and thanks be to God I have even been able to see a bit of "growth" from my "seeds" in some of those closest to me... one of my dearest family members was extremely angry with me at first and called me a heretic and warned me not to tell my beliefs to other members of our family so as to not lead them astray. Well recently we have been able to talk more about it in a much more civil way and even though they are not willing to change their beliefs they have admitted that universalism
may have some truth to it and that there is a chance that ET may not necessarily be true.
What is holding ET believers back from hearing or accepting truth IMO is most likely fear. The fear of hell, specifically. They are taught that if you believe something undoctrinal then you are a heretic and are going to hell. I feel so sad for them because I know what it is to live in this fear and like you I just want to see them freed from it. Thanks be to God that one day they all will be! :cloud9: I do believe that the seeds you are planting will bear fruit in time, God will see to it! Once they get over the initial shock of such a new doctrine they may want to delve more deeply into it.
On a random note, I was watching one of your youtube videos and I love your accent! Where in the UK are you from if you don't mind me asking?
:cloud9: I just pulled up your link and I love your accent too.......site looks really good too. Good job! Blessings....
Well, I was going to say pretty much what WillieH said, that those who cannot hear the truth cannot "thank you" for telling it to them.
I don't know that I have ever witnessed a single person who did not believe in UR come to believe in UR, though I have met plenty who have (obviously).
The very first time I came across this doctrine (through L Ray Smith and Mike Vinson) I believed it instantly, but I don't think that that is the most common experience of those who do come to believe in UR. I think for many it is a longer road which begins with only small seeds of doubt that eventually grow.
I instantly felt such a sense of relief and enlightenment. I truly, for the first time in my life, felt like I felt THE LOVE OF GOD and understood what FORGIVENESS truly is (and certainly not like a rug was pulled out from under me :laughing7:) :gwink:
As others have also said... what we say to others may only be a small seed that is planted, that will later be watered by someone else, as God gives the increase.
