Gods mercy/love endures forever...or for an age?
What i mean is that, i have seen a lot of universalists say "Forever doesnt mean forever it means for an age", but i have also seen them say "Gods mercy endures forever", i have never seen one say "Gods mercy endures for the age"...
So...How should i interperate this, can anyone sort this out?
World English Bible
Praise Yahweh! Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.
Young's Literal Translation
Praise ye Jah, give thanks to Jehovah, For good, for to the age, is His kindness.
The way i would answer it would be that, God is the alpha and omega hence by nature IS eternal, hence his traits...love, mercy etc, lasts forever because He is ETERNAL by definition because He is God.
Would this be correct and a fair answer to this? Or could i add further upon this?
From the old testament "owlam" is not necessarily an age nor it is rightly translated to a factor of eternity, it actually references to a time far off, or that the end cannot be perceived.

While Mercy is an eternal attribute and it is not something that actually leaves God, we have to see mercy in context with who we are and our destiny.
Once we are perfected, mercy will not be required for us any longer. The new testament does not have any statement saying his mercy endures forever in any translation I am aware of.
It appears that in the old testament it is more about Gods mercy endures as long as necessary.

I personally believe that because He is eternal (or outside of time as I have heard it said) that His love will last for all eternity. There will be no end to His love. Would kinda be pointless to His being seeing as He tells us that He IS love.
aión e.g. can mean "lifetime", if God's mercy endures for (His) "lifetime", it would be forevermore as God's lifetime is eternal.
