About 2 Peter 3:19 used to claim 'hell' is real:

1 Corinthians 10 — 2They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. 3They all ate the same spiritual food 4and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ

1 Peter 3 — 18For Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the spirit, 19in which He also went and preached to the spirits in prison (a guarding, guard, watch) 20who disobeyed long ago while God waited patiently in the days of Noah, while the ark was being built. In the ark a few people, only eight souls, were saved through water....

"In which Spirit.." like He was with the people during Moses' day. Taking all other verses that apply, He did not go and visit folks languishing for thousands of years in hell.. nor a holding tank (as "hades" is myth, not the Hebrew sheol, "where there is no thought") but this:

How did He preach to those locked into judgment while the ark was being built? judgment via the flood ..having refused to hear..

2 Peter 2:5 says — ..He did not spare the ancient world when He brought the flood on its ungodly people, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, among the eight;

The thing is - after Adam and Eve’s fall (“consignment”) into disobedience, there were two things said - “dust you are and to dust shall you return” and “surely.. you won’t ..die?”

I’m simply trying to kick out the leg of the stool that upholds dregs of hell..

Scripture defines scripture..

Ecclesiastes 9 —

1 For I considered all this in my heart, so that I could declare it all: that the righteous and the wise and their works are in the hand of God. People know neither love nor hatred by anything they see before them. 2 All things come alike to all:

One event happens to the righteous and the wicked;
To the good, the clean, and the unclean;
To him who sacrifices and him who does not sacrifice.
As is the good, so is the sinner;
He who takes an oath as he who fears an oath.
3 This is an evil in all that is done under the sun: that one thing happens to all. Truly the hearts of the sons of men are full of evil; madness is in their hearts while they live, and after that they go to the dead.

...5 For the living know that they will die;
But the dead know nothing,

9 Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform under the sun.

10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.
