Title: why SO beaten and SO crucified
Post by: marie glen on December 01, 2019, 04:38:09 PM
Have you wondered why - why He had to be beaten bloody and crucified? Have you ever had someone close to you that no matter what you do or say, they suspect you of alterior motives? They do not trust you and they think you do not love them and want their happiness. It finally gets to a point where you think and feel, I would give my blood to prove how much I care and pray for your best and for your happiness.

1 Tim.4:10 - "God is the savior of all" - So He has to convince every one.. every psyche.. every state of mind..

Here's something else.. been on my mind. I'm watching episodes of a show called "Cold Case". Each episode two cops, partners, solve an old unsolved murder case, that comes to their attention for some reason (lol). Old cases.. lives taken.. never solved.. forgotten about.. Each one, even though fictional, they pierce the heart you know.. They make me think of judgment 'day' where I think every story will be reviewed ..the individual.. the national.. the generational.. tribal.. etc. etc.. There'll be some good things in there.. bravery.. kindness.. love and affections.. lots of good things. But there's bound to be a lot of sad, sad stories.. History itself, the collective, is terribly heartbreaking. Say what you will, IF judgment day is a great day of review / Great 'Day' of Review - and also a great day of Atonement.. But, still bound to be a real heart breaking day.. All those stories all through history.

Good news is.. as "kolazo" - "correction" - which is infinitely more logical than great day of punishment - the most extreme usage of the word kolazo, which is more like pruning.. setting things straight.. "make straight the way of the Lord". (And after all, root word of logical is logos.) God "is perfect" (Mt.5:48) He never, ever misses the mark. Is there anyone, therefore, He cannot "correct"!?

One thing we can know - He cares. Every story has value. And don't forget! All the things gone wrong.. done wrong.. wars.. murders.. so much.. It all PROVES God is right. Love HAS to RULE.

Within all of course.. And that all makes the all.. Love ruling, each one like a trinity of Father as Most High, and Son as Lord and firstborn forever preeminent, and the individual. Like a trinity.. On the throne with Father and Son..

..but I'm starting to babble? lol

"The lion will eat straw like the ox and the bear will feed with the cow" Isaiah 11:7. Though the verse is backwards.. Not sure why I like to write it that way. :Peace2:
