Title: When Jesus established a Church, was it meant to be an earthly organization?
Post by: Universalist Catholic on February 14, 2010, 03:45:54 AM
Since, most of the denominations of the Christedom are organizations headquartered on Earth.  They usually require acceptance of a strict Dogma interpreted by the leaders of that particular church, and claim that their interpretation of the bible is better than the others.  Many people claim that their denomination is not a religion, but a way of life.  Yet, their denomination still seems very similar to a religion.  Both have preachers, and a strict Dogma.

The sooner one leaves his past the sooner one remembers where he came from.

I had a dream about that last night, but can only remember bits and pieces.
I have come to the belief or idea that we were spirits before we were born, yet I am not certain.

I apologise I think I may have drifted off topic, I have searched churches for years visited almost all of them but what it came down to for me was not one church was right for me.
I have come to the belief that no organised amount of people in a building is the church.

It was meant to be an earthly kingdom--with one King.

44And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

--Dan 2

Revelation 11:15
And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

Religion is what the Bible is about. The masterplan of Father is called religion...

"Re-ligion" is Latin;
re– means "go back", start again, return.
"Ligare" is the second part, meaning "bind"; related to the word "ligament", which "binds" our bones together.
So, it would appear that even the Latin word "re-ligion" carries the idea that something became unfastened!
It was man and his Creator.

Re-le-gion, going back to an alliance with a multitude or organization.
From the Latin legiō, legiōn-, legere, to gather, again.
I before E, except after receiving.

"The principle of life, feeling, thought, and action (will) in humans is commonly held to be separate; a distinct entity in and of itself."

The church is the person as effected by Christ, to be included into His body of believers.... now with that rhetoric out of the way. The church is an earthly established body. Paul teaches that the body is to help one another believers, to build up and lift up the fallen. He also teaches us that doctrine is a good and profitable thing.

He also teaches us, and even went through it during his life, (super apostles) when others who are tainted with sith ungoldy desire rise up and spread thier yeast through the whole group.

This is no different from today, many churches are as yousaid, waring with each other, no different that the times of Corinthians, they were quite divided also trying to prove whom God was with. Let those who desire to infight to thier desire. But for you let God draw you out from among that and be placed with a fellow group who are there for the purposes that are alive in your heart, that you may be built up and lifted when you are down, that you can lift those with the gift of life God gave toi you.

For we are under a charge that we have been given so freely give.

Let those who squabble , squabble, don't let their image defame His image.
