Title: What parental discipline would look like if ET was real and just

Imagine a parent saying something like this:

"If my kids tell one little white lie, steal even one cookie from the cookie jar, or even stay up one minute past their bedtime, I will lock them in an Iron Maiden in the basement and study witchcraft so I can perform the Cruciatus Curse on them every second for the rest of their lives. Since I, as an adult, am so much greater than my kids, any disobedience they demonstrate towards me warrants unmitigated wrath and rage. I have to torture them for the rest of their lives, otherwise I'm not being JUST!"

Thumbs up to the Harry Potter reference (even if I am not a fan)  :thumbsup:

An excellent comparison though.  Might be more shocking if you replaced the witchcraft and curse with a flame thrower, and napalm, oh my.  But yeah, any torture will do, even a curse  :laughing7: to prove the point that such a thing is just not God's way.

Lately I have thought that those who push the doctrine of ET are telling us more about themselves than about God with the propogation of this teaching.
