The truth shall set you free

I wish I knew what the truth is Jesus is saying because there are too many truth in bible

Why not they said the truth PLAINLY, not in riddle.

Most church said it mean "to be free from slave of sins"

In other word, you will never sins or be a slave to sins

If that truth, how come we STILL SINNING! That not setting us free!

The TRUTH is something to which we must DILIGENTLY apply ourselves in order for it to be revealed to us bro... be patient.   None of us knows it all, and so ALL of us must keep on searching...

The Scripture actually says: ..."the TRUTH shall ...MAKE... you free"... which means that TRUTH ...creates... FREEDOM...

The Creation of FREEDOM is a process... which shapes us little by little... the POTTER molding the CLAY...

Try and rest in the fact that you ARE where you ARE because that is where GOD wants you to be within HIS PURPOSE.  So rest in HIM and keep doing what you are doing...  For you are asking questions, seeking to gain answers.

While you ask these questions, be about searching for answers of your own, while considering the offerings you get from your brothers and sisters here at TM, which describe what THEY presently see as the answer.

I can witness to you that many here have helped to shape the way I view the Scriptures, as GOD has used them to convey their observation of things which I previously did not see... and which are more in LINE with the LOGIC and PURETY of the PURPOSE of GOD... than what I had previously thought...  :mblush:

Bottom line, don't be discouraged because there is much to learn...  Instead, be excited that GOD shall show you GREAT things as you seek Him... kinda like getting little BIRTHDAY presents often... for a NEW TRUTH is born... and MORE FREEDOM is thereby found GROWING within you!

Remember, God is for you so don't ever think Jesus is in any way against you. If He is harsh with you it is for your own good. I personally think Jesus really loved those Pharisees but He did detest what they stood for. I yell at my kids yet I love them. If you think Jesus is calling you Satan like He did Peter, just buck up and keep going for God.

I think this depends on what and how, you percieve as "the devil" brother...

Personally (and there are many which disagree with me), I do not believe there is a "devil" which is a "person", ...I believe "satan" to be a PRINCIPALITY which is the inherent NATURE of the FLESH...

I believe the NATURAL MAN which is DISOBEDIENT by NATURE is that which we are a "child" of... following (like a childlike sheep) those NATURAL and CONTRARY things presented by the FLESH...

On the other hand, as GOD draws us to Himself via His Son [His WORD]... the "war" is thereby, ...on... which PAUL notes by his own experience of it, in Romans 7... (see especially vs 23)

This "war" is not VERSUS some "red guy with a pitchfork" named "satan" who is "in charge of hell"... it is against our own NATURAL and FLESHLY tendencies to satify the FLESH which prompts us via its desires, to fulfill those desires...

When we "Die Daily"... we die to the FLESH (and its SINFUL and NEGATIVE, influences) ...being the ENTITY which prompts us to SIN... (James 1:14)

The victory is found in NOT doing the things of the FLESH which our Savior, by His living and spoken examples, fulfilled... Thereby we become CHILDREN of the SPIRIT which was contained within those  LIVING and SPOKEN examples he gave, the WORD of GOD.
