Title: The Brooding Jesus.
Post by: Mickiel on November 21, 2008, 04:03:48 AM

Throughout the New Testement, Jesus continually makes stunning and shocking statements. He was Bold and cunning, controversal and intriging. And he constantly tested his disciples, something God will do to his comming annointed. Jesus intellect was superb, yet he had a darkside to him. Not a sinful side, but by Dark, I mean brooding and sullen. Somber and often ill-humored, hardly ever laughing, IF he ever Laughed. The Son of Light, humbled and transformed into a body of Flesh, yet his eternal mind was beginning to remember his true roots. And there were times that, because of certain situations, Jesus leaked out his frustrations, and opened the world of readers to " Other things besides the Gospel." Its the other things he said that people miss, or misinterpit.

In Matthews 8:18-22, another one of these many brooding moments of Christ occured. A crowd gather around Jesus, and he was in no mood for the crowd. He wanted some space, because he was in one of his broods. A certain Scribe came up to him and said, " Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go." The guy probally meant this, was well intentioned, but he just happen to catch Jesus at the wrong time. Jesus mind was heavenward, thinking about his situation, his past, present and future. But he had to come back down and deal with this offer from this scribe.

Jesus said to him, " The Foxes have holes, the Birds have nest, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his Head." Jesus in the flesh, is the Son of Man, or a product of Man. It was because of Man that Jesus was born into the world of flesh. He was really telling the Scribe;" Why follow me, I don't even have a place to live." Why look to submit to me, I am homeless. Jesus was really home sick for Heaven when he said this. Brooding over not being with his Father, his All in All. If you study Jesus heart, these moments will become more clear to you. He had a serious Love Jones for his Father. Jesus missed his Father dearly. He missed his Glory and the sinlessness of Heaven. Nowhere on earth he rested or stayed was even worthy to be compared to his home in Heaven.

The another disciple comes at him with another request, right after the Scribes outpouring. " Lord permit me to go and bury my Father."

Now understand, under normal circumstances, Jesus would have immediately honored the Scribes request and took him into the group to follow him, and sent the other disciple to go bury his Father. But Jesus was brooding. He was in one of those moods. In these moods, Jesus can be very deadly in his choice of words. He told the disciple to Follow him, and let the Dead bury their own Dead.

I don't care how you " Spiritually discet that statement", let the dead bury their own dead, it was just being hardcore of Christ to tell this man to follow him, instead of going to his Fathers funeral. Just straight up hard man. Not only denying the man the task of burying his Father, but also calling those who were going to bury his Father, dead themselves.

See Jesus mind was not on this earth during these interactions, and often his desire for heaven, distracted what he was thinking here on earth. And there are lessons to learnm from this about Jesus, and learning about Jesus, is learning about Life.

And I want to get into some of these Life lessons. How we can learn from the Brooding Jesus.

Peace.

After Jesus tells his disciple , who " Asked for Permission" to bury his Father, to follow him and let the dead bury their own dead, he got into a boat. Matt.8:23-27. Now look closely, as Jesus brood continues even on into his Sleep, and after he was awakened by his disciples. A " Great Storm arose", the bible says the boat was covered with waves. And notice that Jesus was sleeping through this. He was in a Brood, perhaps tired and drained, ( really he was Homesick). The frigthened Disciples woke him up saying;" Lord Save us!" Look at what Jesus says; " Why are you Timid, you men of Little Faith."

Just waking up, in the middle of a great storm, his followers frightened out of theirs minds, scared to death, and he starts getting on them. Not only them, the bible says that he even " Rebuked the Winds", AND the Sea. Rebuked them! He didnot speak nicely to the wind and sea either. IMagine just what he said and how he said it, because it became " Perfectly Calm" after Jesus was finished with his rebuke, and I don't think his disciples distrubed him any more after that.

But this gives critical insight into Jesus Mind, his emotions, his frustrations, his humanity. You can be a son of God, and experience these frustrations, these feelings, these moods. This is also the mind of Christ.

And I want to continue into that.

Peace.

One of the more physical examples of Jesus brooding mood is Matt. 21:1-12. In include verses 1-11, because many do not realize what had just occured right before Jesus outburst. Jesus had just offered himself to his Public, riding into Jerusalem through Bethphage on a Donkey. It was a parade really, people laying tree branches on the road in front of him, and many laid their own clothes on the ground for him to parade on.

Blessed is he who has come in the name of the Lord. The Prophet Jesus, Hosanna to the Son of David. They proceed to the Temple and Jesus dismounts and goes in. And what he sees ticks him off, now hes in his brood again. He physically cast out ALL those who were buying and selling, and knocked over the tables of the Money changers.

Here the crowd was worshipping him, glad to see him, full of Hope and encouragement, following him into the Temple. Then Jesus goes off.

But he had " Righteous Reason." But he still went off, or what we in this age call " Nutting up." Right after this he started healing people.

Although Jesus was moody, he ALWAYS saw to the peoples needs, always. But him going off right after his parade, is proof he was not concerned with public image.

And neither should we. And I want to touch on that. Overly concerned with your public image, will " Do Things to your emotions."

Peace.

Jesus was a man of many moods, and often used his moods to teach lessons. Right before he entered Jerusalem and his great parade, as he left Bethany, he did a most unusual thing. As they were traveling he became hungry, and seeing at a distance a Fig tree " In Leaf", he went to see if perhaps he would find anything on it. Once he got to it, he found nothing but leaves, but the bible says why, " It was NOT the season for Figs." Mark 11:12-14.

Now Jesus gets into one of his Moods, and actually speaks to the Tree;" May no one ever eat fruit from you again." An actual curse. Now why would Jesus curse a tree for not bearing fruit, during a time it was not supposed to anyway?

Well the answer is in Matthews 21:18-22. Once Jesus cursed the tree, it withered at once, simply died right in front of their eyes. Jesus killed it with his mind. With his Faith. He was teaching an example of Faith and Prayer and Belief. It was far better for him to use a Tree in this deadly example, than a human.

Jesus even waxes an incredible example of Faith and belief, he told them they could say to a mountian, be taken up and cast into the Sea, and it shall happen. This is the true ability that Jesus will give to his true annointed.

Peace.

I think Jesus used that curse on the tree to tell people that they should not curse at all, because it has real effects. I firmly believe in the power of both blessings and curses, and that everyone is called to never curse but instead to heap blessing over blessing on other people. There are also curses that we heap upon ourselves unknowingly, for example when we say or think no I can't do this I am too afraid. Such a thing is a curse too, in effect, a curse that prevents us from overcoming fears and doing the right thing. In fact, with this stuff I go as far as sometimes blessing myself, because I want to neutralize such self-cursing things that I do unknowingly. I think this is really important, the whole world and nearly all of humanity is permeated with curses and there need to be many more blessings to cancel all these out.

But you are true about Jesus brooding sometimes. After all He had a hard and difficult life. Though I don't think the examples you gave were all broodings. Perhaps the scribe was not fit for the life of a real disciple, and Jesus knew it and acted accordingly. Or the scribe was not sincere enough. After all the apostles were meant to spread the Gospel after the resurrection, and I don't think this task could be given to anyone. Not all are called to be apostles, thank God.

Interesting view, I agree its true that we can be our worse enemy. Also in our search for truth, we can be afraid of going beyond what the average crowd believes, and thus become trapped inside of the customs of our beliefs. We curse our own knowledge by our own fears about what could be true or not. And then brood over knowledge, as others go beyond our own perimeters set up within ourselves.

Jesus was conscious of the human lack of knowledge, notice John 6:61;" But Jesus, conscious that his disciples had a problem with what he said, said to them; Does this cause you to stumble? After all, he had just said that those who eat him will live because of him. So I understand why they were taken back by his statements. He had said he who eats his flesh and drinks his blood abides in him.

They were not ready for that kind of teaching, Jesus was intentionally confusing them, testing them. Knocking them down and messing with their heads. In fact, their weakness and confusion, their suffering with Jesus moods and heavy pattern of knowledge, was WHY Jesus stated that no one can come to him, unless it had been granted by God, because thats the only way a human could endure the truth anyway, or endure Christ straight forward Mind. Jesus was NOT an easy man to follow then, and still is not now!

And I want to go into that.

Jesus was not an easy man to follow, in fact, it was very dangerous at the time to follow him. But there was somethingelse becomming apparent about Jesus that was even more dangerous. His consciousness was changing. His divinity was beginning to filer back into him, but this was in conflict with his flesh. This is also why Christ ministry was short lived, he couldnot exist like this for an overextended amount of time. His divinity would have overuled his flesh, and really been far too much for the flesh. So the Father planned for Jesus awareness and Power to " Slowly be leaked into him" over a short period of time.

That is another reason why Jesus was broody. He, like no other human before or since, was transfused with so much raw power, in so short of a time, that it simply is hard for me to believe that he kept his composure as well as he did. One misplaced uncontrolled temper tamtrum, could have totally destroyed all of humanity. Just ruined all of Gods plans.

Jesus was being infused with raw Spirit power. Notice Luke 8:44-46; A woman who had a hemorrhage for 12 years snook up behind Jesus and touched his cloak. Immediately she was instantly healed. Jesus was surrounded by a crowd but he knew someone had touched his clothes. The disciples were denying that any of them did it. But examine WHY he knew this. Vs. 46; " Someone did touch me, for I was aware that " Power had gone out of me."

Will you look at that. He said he was " Aware" that " Power had gone out of me." The power to heal had  drained out of him, into the woman, yet all she did was to touch his clothes. Not his person or skin, his garments! Which means Jesus was becomming so powerful, that anything touching him, would become powerful also. Like a source of raw energy. It anything touches it, it is engulfed by it.

And Jesus was becomming so in touch with his incomming Power, that he could actually sense when it was being released from him. Its no way he could have existed on earth for long after this. He would have become too powerful for our reality.

This is another reason why Jesus was moody. He was NOT arrogant, as certain others who teach have suggested, he was trying to cope with a hughe balance of Power and responsibility being placed upon him. And this is vital in comming to know and understand Christ.

And I want to get into that.

Peace.

In Mark 14:33-34, it reveals that Jesus was very distressed and troubled about his oncomming death, very deeply greived, so greived he could have died from the greif alone. His own words in vs.34;" My soul is grieved to the point of death." Other words he could have died just from the depression alone.

You listen to some christians describe Jesus mood before his death, and what they are saying and teaching is not biblical. They picture Jesus as willingly, going to his death as if he was very happy about it and comfortable with it. THAT is NOT the truth! Jesus almost died from just the awareness of what he must endure.

And I think he became aware of his death, long before these final days of his crucifixion. He had to live, knowing that he would die the most horrible death to date in human history.

This is another reason Jesus was moody.

Peace.

Jesus was an interesting human being, while he was human. He never did glorify himself in an egotistic  overbearing manner. Jesus prayed a lot, and cried a lot while he was praying. Notice Hebrews 5:7;" In the days of his flesh, he offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears to the one able to save him from death." Jesus was serious when he talked to God, and he " Begged the Father" many times in prayer.

Many christians and believers willnot beg God in prayer, they just don't do it, for various reasons. But thats what supplications means, to beg God, to implore him, to bend your pride under and humbly ask. Jesus communication with his father, his mannerism during those communications, reveal his heart, his personality, his very being and persona. He was a moody man, a man of sorrows.

Notice Isaiah 53:3;" He was despised and forsaken of men, a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief; and like one from whom men hide their face, he was despised and we didnot esteem him." Oh how I understand that so well.

Jesus was a human of sorrows, he was distressed a lot, and dissapointed a lot.

Much of this came from his interactions with believers, as well as unbelievers. The very people he loved so dearly, were also the source of many of his disapointments and griefs. Many times the ways of believers just made him cry.

And I want to go into that.

Peace.

The actual source of most of Jesus sorrows, were believers themselves. Much of his greif came from interaction with those who believed in him, and to this day, that has not changed. Inter family greif, is much harder than outer family greif. The deceptive confused outlook of believers irritated Jesus with no end. And the believers then, as well as now, NEVER think to themselves that they are quilty of this. It is because a believer reconizes Jesus name and office, thus they feel to themselves that they can do no wrong, they don't think they can be confused and inadvertly spread the confusion.

In Matt. 24: 5, again Jesus own Prophecy concerning " Believers of our time", " For many will come in my name, professing me to be the Christ, and will still mislead MANY!" Two dynamics here. Jesus was refering to serious believers here, and believers with a strong influence on others. There exist a strong willingness for certain believers to ride their belief on the coat tails of other believers who have strong conviction. Some of them are simply lazy in their belief, others are just passive in their belief, still others just believe so much in other believers to be " Teachers of God, or people being used by God", so they adhere themselves to the " Following Group."

Certain believers are so strong in their belief, so dynamic, that they just naturally become leaders and teachers. This type of believer, when deceived themselves but not knowing that, are very very dangerous. And this was upsetting to Jesus. To have influence is a responsibility, but to be deceived, in any area, and have influence, is how infection is spread amoungst the people. This was a true source of many of Jesus sorrows, and STILL is!

And I want to touch on that.

Peace.

Jesus visted Nazareth once and while there he began to teach in the synagogue and many were astonished at his wisdom and amazed at his miracles, Mark 6:1-4. These were believers, actively going to church, or to meetings with other believers. Do you know that these believers actually took offense to the truth Jesus was speaking? Jesus said that he is without honor in his home town and amoungst his family relatives.

That is where the pendulim swing of deception will hit and hurt the most, the called out ones, the " Inner Circle", those close to the truth. The very people who feel themselves as the carriers of the truth, the standard bearers, the " Chosen", these are the real source of the " Sorrow of Christ", the pain they inflict is deadly.

The very people who feel they " Announce the Truth", are making some confused announcements.

Oh how this bothers Christ.

Deception starts from within, and spreads within, then it comes out in a royal flush, drowing the learnings of others. And not just certain " Little deceptions", ALL things evil come from first within, and them proceed to defile the carrier first, and then the deception comes out of them. Mark 7:20-23.

And I want to examine this process that defiles.

Peace.

I want to show one of the favorite flows of deception. How a person of God, a believer in God, will solicit evil for a time.

Deception starts from within first, remember that. You can't blame anything outside of you, its a thing already within you. A thought already within you that you have entertained in your own private mind. You are the carrier of the thought. The impulse is already born within you.

Perhaps something you have always wondered about, just curious as to how it would feel or taste. Or how it would be or turn out. And then, what do you know, circumstances develop that give you a near perfect, or even perfect circumstance to go ahead and do what you have already, always entertained within you.

James 1:14;" But each one is tempted when he is " Carried Away" and enticed by his Own Lust." This is the most simplest path to Sin, our own Lust. Our own desires, OR, our own interpitations of the Truth! We can lust for knowledge, but yet have certain ways of viewing the truth already within us. These interpitations, these understandings, are already within, just waiting to deceive you first, and then come out and deceive others. This is a favorite path of deception.

Particularily frustrating to Jesus though, this path is a path of destruction. Ruining people from the inside out.

And I want to get into that.

Peace.

Again Jesus explains the path of the direction sin comes from. He didnot blame the devil, didnot give the cause to satan and his influence, he laided the direction of sin to be within man. Mark 7:21;" For FROM WITHIN, out of the " Heart of Men", proceed the " Evil Thoughts", fornications, thefts, murder, adulteries, coveting , wickedness, and notice this one- DECEIT! Deception comes from within. All the spiritual knowledge that we hold to that is simply wrong, its deceptive nature is already within you.

Jesus listed also Pride and Foolishness, the two twins that power deception. You have this doctrine within you, this belief, and because of your pride and foolishness, you willnot change the belief. Your stubborn belief is what is within you. That is what is defiling you, and others, as it comes out. You are teaching yourself, sinning yourself, deceiving yourself, leading yourself.

Listen to Jesus, all of you, in Mark 7:14-15, " Listen to me, all of you, and understand: There is NOTHING OUTSIDE the human which is going to deceive them; but the things which proceed out of the human are what deceives them." Sin is the diagnosis of your OWN Heart! Its what is IN you! How you think. How YOU perceive. How YOU calculate and deliver, how YOU are!

NOTHING outside of you can cause you to sin. Nothing! Its what INSIDE of you that leads to sin.

And I want to get into that.

Peace.

Jesus said in Matt. 22:14;" For many are called but few are chosen." A very large portion of those called by God, are either already believers or quickly become believers. And God has called a significant number of these, many. A lot of them have a " Self Knowledge streak" in them. They are really self learned. The good thing about a self learned person, is that God does not have to spend an inordinate amount of time trying to break this person from the " Church insitution." Conversely, the self learned person can be very stubborn about their own opinions, their own ways and means. One of the reasons then that many are not chosen, is because of a large amount of " Self Will" overbears them and their will is a superfical teacher that masqwurades as the Spirit of God to them. This person is ever learning and increasing in knowledge, but never able to come to the truth that they are not chosen.

And this kind of believer is a thorn in Christ side. A pest, a constant source of sorrow to him. Because their belief is inside of them, in their hearts, they know that Jesus is Lord, but they have a bigger Jesus inside of them, their own will to survive the Spiritual calling. Their " Spiritual Self Survival", their intense need to be annointed, their unmovable desire to be King, their focused struggle to be highly favored by God.

This is one of the sorrows of Christ. And I want to open that up.

Peace.

Many called people are expecting Christ to choose them, in effect annoint them. They know they have been called, so they are expecting Christ to see the rest of this thing through. I mean big time expectation, the kind that has already superseeded what the Father was going to do anyway. There were disciples during Christ time who did this, and there are many now who are doing it.

To be called and annointed is not Christs to give anyway. In Matt. 20:22-23, we see the seed of this most unusual deception in believers.

Oh how it pesters a parent to have a child, who expects things from them, just because it " Knows it is the Child." A kind of, " Look, you are responsible for giving me this", thus I am demanding it. Its my birthright! A kind of retro-active pride in their position.

In order to be called and annointed, the human MUST be Prepared by God FIRST! Preconditioned and prearranged. Its nothing worse than a believer who has " Placed themselves" into this catagory. That is a pain to Christ. An irritation, because its really premature behavior. And knowledge spit out by a premature believer, is of the most deceptive. And let me explain why.

Peace.

A premature believer  has all the makings and dress of an annointed person, but inside its a far different story. A person can think themselves called and chosen, but yet the knowledge they spit out deceives their own heart, which makes their knowledge worthless. James 1:26 shows this. Certain believers deceive their own hearts by the knowledge they have inside of them. And they can't stop talking about that knowledge.

They can't stop making their claims. They can't stop the deception, and they can't put a lid on their mouths.

In James 3:5," The tounge is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things." Great Spiritual things. Yet the mouth can defile the entire body, the things that come out of you.

And this is another sorrow of Christ, because the church came out of him. The church is defiling the world, boasting of great things. Great things that Christ has not sanctioned as of yet. This is a pain to Christ. James 3:10;" From the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My bretheren, these things ought not to be." The knowledge production of the church is a sorrow of Christ. It causes him to brood. Premature knowledge results in premature understanding and expectations.

And I want to get into that.

Premature knowledge exalts premature expectations. In Romans 10:2;"For I am a witness that they had a zeal for God, but it was not according to the right kind of Knowledge." People can hold a zeal for God, or have a heart that is submissive to God, but the way they understand things can be deceptive. They actually Love God with all their heart, but the Spirit has not influenced their concepts of God. You can Love God all you want to, but that Love cannot place his Kingdom within you. It cannot make you born again, and your Love does not produce Gods Spirit within you. Your personal claims have absolutely nothing to do with those things, no amount of Knowledge can produce those results. In these areas Knowledge can actually produce the arrogance of making claims before the time. Knowledge does not edify the Spirit of Truth. The Spirit bears witness to itself. A believer wrapped in selfish covetness willnot reconize this.

Premature knowledge is NOT the knowledge of God, it is the knowledge of human learning. 1Corinth. 15:34 " For some have no Knowledge of God." Or you can say knowledge FROM God. Understanding can come from God in a twinkling of an eye. And many times he will give you that knowledge at the last moment, or give you what to say at the time of his choosing. People who usurp the knowledge of God, create the time at their choosing. They are in control.

Notice Col. 3:10;" And have put on the New Self who is being renewed to a TRUE Knowledge."

You see the true knowledge of God strips the old self down, pins down these old beliefs you hold to, these add mix doctrines, and these claims you make from premature  greed for the things of God.

And I want to jump on that.

Peace.

Premature knowledge exalts the expectations. Premature Spiritual knowledge, exalts the promises of God and gives them a date. The most popular date is " Now." Now I have Gods Spirit, Now I am born again, now I am in the Kingdom of God, Now I speak in tounges, now I am being used of God, NOW! Now is the day of salvation, now is MY Appointed time, now is the date of exalted human expectation from God! Premature greed is a rage that eclipses self.

Its where the longing for God is taken advantage of by the demonic forces of this world. These forces take your mind into illusion and seek to multiply all of your Spiritual desires, and change your desires into expectations, then turn the expectation into reception, or desires already achieved. And Jesus broods over this very much. He said in John 13:33 that where he was going, they cannot come. He was going into the Kingdom of God, and we cannot go there now. But what the greed of certain believers has done, is to usurp the Kingdom that we cannot go to now, and bring it down to earth and place it within them.

Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father, but through me. He goes to a place that we cannot now follow, but certain believers have greater expectations that what Jesus has described. They cannot wait for Christ to do, so they have done. Done their thing. And this is a source of sorrow for Christ. They have chosen the date of Jesus visitation to earth. Jesus said in John 14:18-20, that he will not leave his people as orphans, that after a little while he will return to earth, and IN THAT DAY, they shall know that he is IN the Father, and we in him, and he IN us! In that day, the Kingdom shall be within.

Now I want to open another aspect of Jesus broodings.

Another aspect of Jesus broodings, is his future responsibility with both God and humanity. As Christ extends his consciousness into the kingdom and beyond , he is thinking about and preparing for our eternity. This is a grave mood for him, a serious extension in his thoughts. He must turn all thiongs over to the Father, which will in effect, slightly ease things on his mind, as the Father will project things from there on. And it is there, at that moment, that the Christ will enter into another phase of reality.

And I want to go into that future reality. Its awesome potential.

God the Father lifted up Jesus higher than anyonelse in existence. His very own son, the firstborn of God. Sitting at  the Fathers right hand, Jesus is in Gods throne of Power. So when he hands over all things back to the Father, what will become of Christ then?

And I want to get into that.

In John 17:1, again Jesus;" Father, the hour has come; glorify thy Son, that the Son may glorify thee." Or Jesus will turn all things over to the Father. But understand John 16:15;" All things that the Father has are mine." So although Jesus turns all things back over to the Father, all those things are still Christ. The church will still be his. The people of the earth will still be his. Jesus still will be the most high Priest.

There is something about Christ that needs to be correctly understood. Jesus is the " Connecting Point" between God and ALL THINGS! Including, but not limited to, humanity. John 15:1;" I am the true Vine, and my Father is the Vinedresser." This will never change, Jesus is the only space between God and all of creation. The future of Jesus, his Eternal future, is to be a " Conduit", a channel for the conveyance of the Father. He is the Vine, allelse are branches. Non one gets to the Father, but by him. So Jesus will eternally be a door to God the Father, the passage way. That is NOT just an earthly thing, its an eternal thing. Apart from him, now, or into eternity, we can do " Nothing."

Again Jesus in John 14:6;" I am the way, the truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father, but THROUGH Me." This eternal passage way, is the future of Christ. A constant conduit, perminent passage. So then Jesus will be a " Forever Filter", a perminent " Screening vehicle" of the Almighty Father. He not only ushers in a new Age, he will continue as an " Usher" between the Father and all of creation. The " Right of Passage", the inbetweener, the crossroad of everlasting.

And this opens up yet another aspect of Christ.

Peace.

Thank you for this.  I think I needed it tonight.  I recently read a book in which the author spoke of what Jesus believed about His ministry here on earth.  Not what he knew, but what he believed.  And it kind of gave me pause.  It seems to me that one of the fundamental struggles of the human condition is the not knowing.  Not knowing who we are or why we are here or what we are supposed to do.  The bible, of course, says that Jesus was fully human.  Which means that He must have had to struggle with this same not knowing.  It must have been something of a discovery for him to figure out who He was and why He was here.  And what a relationship He must have had with God to have discovered this and to have had the confidence to live it out.  Good stuff.  I'm not sure if you are planning it, but it would be interesting to take a look at Jesus' relationship with the Holy Spirit.  I think the Holy Spirit is key in the Christian life, but if all mention of it were removed from scriptures, I don't think it would make much difference to most Christians.  (And I'm sorry, but the Holy Spirit as Santa handing out spiritual gifts is not what the Spirit is about, imo.)

Well I am sure it was a discovery process for Jesus to figure out who he was. I think the Father has and will " Limit the personal abilitys" of certain people he has called and annointed, so as to monitor their progress and control it according to his will. To " Pace their lives", if you will. If the Father just " Pumped people with instant incredible Power", there would be all kinds of adverse effects in that persons life and mind. There would be no maturity, and the flesh must mature, thats how it was designed.

I will take a look at Jesus relationship with the Holy Spirit a bit later, it is not what most seem to believe it is. I also believe the relationship most believers think they have with the Holy Spirit, is not what they seem to think it is. Many believe they actually control the Holy Spirit, as if it is here to serve them. Arrogantly they talk as if they have it down pat, and treat it as if it is their servant. Jesus showed a respect for the Holy Spirit, that even his own followers do not show. But I will get into that later.

Another very powerful aspect of Jesus, is actually eternal Life itself. Jesus said " I am the Life." In John 17:2;" Even as thou gave me responsibility over all of mankind, that to all who you have called and annointed, I am to give them eternal Life." It is actually Jesus that gives out Life eternal, and this is vital to understand about his relationship with God. How much the Father has invested in this most important Living being , the Christ. This is yet another reason Jesus broods, the Father has invested so much into him. This suggest, comming from the powerful mind of God, some interesting things about Jesus abilitys. Really he is a lot like the Father, their is no limit to his power either!

Because the Father God has invested ALL THINGS into Christ, his Son, this reveals then an all powerful aspect of Jesus himself! The more responsibility the Father depends on you, the more powerful and important you are to reality. This superseeds the Holy Spirit, God has invested more into Jesus, than he has the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is the Key to Christian Life, not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a servant of Christ. But it is NOT a servant of the believers, I would strongly disagree with that.

The reason why many believers are in a qusai romance with the Holy Spirit, is because it is our " Baby Sitter", until the Father and Son return. We simply fall in Love with our Baby Sitter. It is the force that binds and protects, but it is a force, a power , under the direct control of Christ.

And I want to go into more of the future responsibility of Christ. As the Conduit of God, it is Jesus responsibility to communicate with us in language we can comprehend. It is Jesus who must reveal " Plainly of the Father" what we need to comprehend. The Holy Spirit is called upon to deal with believers in , really a limited capacity, but when Jesus himself steps into the Picture, you have the purpose of the real annointing. Believers have placed the annointing on the Holy Spirit, because that is what they understand, but it is Jesus who is the door to the annointing, not the Holy Spirit.

And I want to get into scriptures on that.

Peace.

Again Jesus in John 17:10;" All things that are mine, are yours. And all things that are yours, are mine. And I have been glorified in them." Glorified in them, or rule over them, or have power over them. This is Jesus rule over the Holy Spirit, it is his to command. His to direct, his to distribute. The Holy Spirit belongs to Christ, as it belongs to God. Jesus has complette authority over it.

And listen, he has complette authority over Gods very throne. Including the 24 elders! Everything that belongs to the Father, belongs to Christ, EVERYTHING! Including humanity. Gods throne does NOT belong to the Holy Spirit, and neither does humanity. There is a vast difference, which I will go into later.

Jesus in John 10:7;" I am being complettely for real with you, I am the Door of the Sheep." Not the Holy Spirit, I AM the Door. The conduit, the opening, the passage way, the road, the power and the will and the way! I am the entrance,I am the Good Shepard, I AM THE BOSS! I have given my life for you. I am the Light of the World. I am the one who forgives your sins. I am the one the Father draws people to. I am the one who looses nothing given to me. I AM!

Peace.

I think it is well known here how much I differ from the average poster here , concerning the true interpitation of the manifestation of the Holy Spirit, and what is believed about Christ, along with many other biblical interpitations. I just flat out don't see it like most do. Its the same with how Jesus is interpited. For example., look at Revelations 22:16, again Jesus;" I , Jesus, have sent my Angel to testify to you these things FOR the churches. I am the root and offspring of David, ( Who incidently was a Black Man) the Bright and Mourning Star.Jesus was from the root and offspring of a black man, David, but American history records that he was from a white man. So I disagree there. His liniage is misunderstood. His personal culture is misunderstood and usurped by others to be things that are not. His culture was robbed like a grave. His true picture painted over and over.

And his message was robbed and painted over and over.

Jesus intent is recorded in Rev. 22:17, the water of Life will be taken Freely. That message was robbed and turned into something it was not.

This is what people are very good at doing, robbing things that have been set up on earth, and distorting them, changing the gospel of grace into things it is not. But they cannot rob the things set up in heaven.

Peace.

QuoteMany believe they actually control the Holy Spirit, as if it is here to serve them.

My goodness - such a thing has never even occurred to me.  I suppose I have heard people speak of "calling down the Holy Spirit" before, which could be seen as an attempt to control the Holy Spirit.  But neither this or the baby sitter role are remotely related to my experience of the Holy Spirit and why I say it is central to the life of a Christian.  (Also, I have no problem with a Triune God, with 3 co-equal parts.  It sounds like perhaps you don't entirely accept this idea.)

The reason I say that the Holy Spirit is central to the Christian life is because it is the instrument through which God actually executes the aionian life which Jesus opened the door to.  We do not grow in holiness, obedience, patience, love, generosity, etc, etc, through Jesus.  These are the work of the Holy Spirit.  However, most people, including most Christians, believe that these are the result of their own work rather than resulting from our dependence on the Holy Spirit to grow, purify and shape us.  I would not speak of the Holy Spirit as either something to be controlled or just an overseer.  Instead, I think the Holy Spirit is something which we need to be open to as Christians.  I believe that we work with the Holy Spirit to clear the way for the working of the Holy Spirit and obey its promptings.  I suppose you could say that Jesus opened the door for us, showed us where the door is, but it is the Holy Spirit which actually ushers us through the door to fuller and fuller communion with the Father.

No I do not accept this idea, I disagree with any type of trinity teaching, in whatever form it shows itself. Even Jesus is not equal to God, but he saying so himself is totally ignored by trinity believers. Just one of many areas where they ignore the very words of Christ. The Holy Spirit is a part of God, but it is not a part of his personage. It is an extension of his power, not his personality. Its his " Muscle", or his might. Our muscle, or our Power, is not a part of our personage, but it is a part of us. It is our energy, our source of strength. This is what the Holy Spirit is, only in Gods case, his energy is actually alive. I mean, thats just him, its how awesome he is. Gods Power, his energy, his Might, or his muscle, is alive. Its not another being within his personality, its an outer extension of his inner power. Or its his " Spirit", his raw energy. And he has seven of these " Spirits." Not just one Holy Spirit, but Seven of them. And I think they each are extensions of his Mind, or possibily " Minds." And we do not understand any one of them, muchless the seven.

I certainly disagree with this. We grow through Jesus, and Jesus alone. The way I see people using this " Aionian Life", is meaningless. It means nothing. Just like their claims of having the Holy Spirit means nothing. All things are based on Jesus, not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was sent to comfort the people God is dealing with, not to represent Christ, or be Christ to them. Nothing can be Christ, but Christ. People don't even really know why the Spirit was sent, what it is and what it is charged to do.

The Spirit was sent to stimulate certain things, but Jesus gives the increase of those things.

And I will go into that.

Peace.

What does the Spirit do? Again Jesus in John 14:26;" But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom my Father will send IN JESUS NAME, he will TEACH you all things, and help your memory concerning those things."

First off, the Spirit was " Sent in Jesus Name", not its own name. It was sent  by the commission of Christ, by the Power of God, neither of which is a " Self inititated thing." It was sent in Jesus name, meaning under Jesus direct authority and control.

Secondly , it was sent " To Help believers", to assist them. To comfort and protect, to teach, in other words, to baby sit them for the parent.

Now the Holy Spirit can teach knowledge, but God or Christ " Gives the Growth of that knowledge", the Holy Spirit does not cause a believer to grow in grace, it only helps knowledge. And it can do that without being perminently within the believer. Believers just have problems understanding this. They think because they are growing in knowledge, that they must have the Spirit within. I disagree with that.

The Holy Spirit is a helper, it helps. It is Jesus who is the True Power that be.

And I want to show you somethingelse.

Peace.

Jesus called the Holy Spirit " The Helper", John 15:26, 16:7. Thats what the Holy Spirit is, its what it does, no matter what any believer is saying, this is what Christ has said. I take Christ word on it.

Its here to Help us. Its not here to be Christ or God. God and Christ are all in all, not the Holy Spirit.

But there is another reason the Holy Spirit was sent which has absolutely nothing to do with believers. John 16:8, it was sent also " To CONVICT" the world concerning Sin. This is what Jesus taught. It was sent to prove that the world is quilty before God. To literally " Impress" upon the world, the quilt of Sin. To bring to full belief, that sin is wrong, and to satisfy this quilt to God the Father. To show both the Father AND the world, the results of Sin. The EVIDENCE of Sin!

Just like the rain brings out the early mourning worms, the Holy Spirit brings out Sin, reveals it.

And I want to get into that.

Peace.

For the Love of Christ controls us, 2Corinth.5:14. This is the true control over those being influenced by God, its Christ. Vs. 18;" Now all these things, ( or you can just say all things) are from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave us the ministry of Reconciliation." We are reconciled to God through Christ, not the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit has very little to do with the ministry of reconciliation. Thats totally misunderstanding the Holy Spirit. Repentance does not come from the Holy Spirit, nor does restoration.

Not to be confused, the Holy Spirit is " Involved", but Christ is the backbone, the driving force, the " Mind and Power" behind reconciliation.

Continue closely on through vs.19;" Namely, that God was IN Christ, ( Not the Holy Spirit, but the Father himself) reconciling the world to himself. The Father didNOT do this through the Holy Spirit, but entered himself into Christ Mind and heart. He PERSONALLY did this, and this simple stated fact is overlooked and misunderstood by believers.

And LISTEN, there will come a time that the Father will directly communicate to a believer, bypassing the Holy Spirit, and he himself will entreat you, then you will be linked directly to him. Read vs. 20;" Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were entreating through us." This is future tense, now, its done through the Holy Spirit, and thats part of what the Holy Spirit is. A temporary link between God and the Believer, who is NOT yet given direct access to God, but a LINK to God! See believers think the Holy Spirit gives you direct access to the Father, that is nonsense, it does not. Its just what YOU think it does. YOU like to believe you have direct access to the Father, but really, the presence of the Holy Spirit, is ABSOLUTE PROOF, that there is a " Link between you and the Father!" Its a go between, it helps you establish a link that can connect you with the Father, AFTER the communication has gone through several channels.

And I want to get into that.

Peace.

Now the Holy Spirit has two main aspects, or you can say functions on earth reguarding believers. But it can be catagorized by one word, " Helper". It helps. But it teachs you and guides your mind, or influences your thought process. John 14: 16-17, 26. Read these verses closely. The Holy Spirit is " Sent In Christ Name", don't forget that. Don't start worshipping the Holy Spirit, you are NOT to do that! Worship God and Christ ALONE!

The Holy Spirit teaches you, and DOES NOT have to be in you to do that. Oh one day it will be in you, but YOU cannot, MUST NOT, choose that day! You can throw that day into your life because you had some sentimental emotional experience. You can't create that day because you almost died or lost everything. You cannot duplicate the giving of the Holy Spirit, just because its influencing you. It is there, IN your mind, bringing things to the forefront of your mind, that God and Christ have ALREADY PLANTED! The Holy Spirit is just bringing it to your memory. Inticing your  recall, God has already dealt with your subconscious mind, but I am going too deep. I don't want to confuse, by getting too far ahead.

Just because the Holy Spirit " Enters a human Mind", does NOT mean it remains. That does NOT mean it STAYS there! It does not mean you have the Holy Spirit perminently. And OH how many believers have seriously jumped the gun on this. John 1:33;" And I didnot reconize him, but he who sent me to baptize in water said to me, " He upon whom you see the Spirit descending and" REMAINING" upon him, this is the one who Baptizes in the Holy Spirit."

The Spirit REMAINING! Meaning it stays there, its not just visitation. See this is what I now have, the Spirit " Visiting", it does not remain. It just comes and goes as IT pleases. I don't try to deceive myself or others by claiming it is remaining. I don't let my greed for Spiritual pascification try to manipulate Gods Holy Spirit. I know its not in me perminently. Oh, don't get me wrong, I would LOVE to have it, I NEED it to stay, but it does not. Its not my time. May never be my time, I simply do not know, and I simply cannot control that. But many others are trying to control that, manipulate that, they ARE NOT making there calling and election sure, because their whole starting point is corrupted by this simple point. They just CANNOT get over this hump, they CANNOT see themselves as being temporary helped by the Holy Spirit, they desire it ALL. NOW!

This is one of the greatest blindspots I am aware of, and a great barrier to the essence of the Truth, AND, a " Brooding source" for Christ. It truly bothers him that this is going on.

Peace.

The Holy Spirit teachs you about " Spiritual AND carnal knowledge." We are destined to know both good and evil, but the desire of many is just to know good. They can't handle the evil, espically the evil about themselves. So they are attracted only to the good, saying to the Holy Spirit;" Prophesy good things about me", but the job of the Spirit is to help you know God AND yourself! You need to know the bad in you, what it is, how it works, the level of weakness it will produce. Oh but so many believers gloss over this, thinking their sins are forgiven and do not need to be examined. They live in this " High society sinless world within their minds", where they actually escape their sins by ignoring them, as if that is spiritual.

Notice Jesus in Matt.10:26;" There is NOTHING covered that willNOT be revealed, and hidden that willNOT be Known." Blessed is the man who's sins are covered. Thats as far as some believers can go, or care to go, they like their sins being covered. But NOTHING covered, including our sins, willnot be revealed. And when you begin to rightly devide the Holy Spirit, you will begin to comprehend that it is teaching, showing YOU, uncovering your sins " TO YOU", so that YOU can rightly discern your weaknesses. You willNOT try to escape the Knowledge of your own sin, you will learn from that. And it will cause you to brood yourself. Or meditate on these things, think them over, " Chew on them", digest and spiritually discern your sin.

One of the greatest Strengths a believer can have, is the ability and GIFT, to discern your own sin.

But the forces that be are leading certain believers away from that, and down the road of totally ignoring their sins.

The sword Jesus came to bring on earth, is the battle with sin. You cannot have Peace within yourself, unless and until this battle is fought, and understood why it is being fought.  Some believers view Christ as fighting that battle, winning it, so they do not have to fight it, they need only to live in the benefits of it. This type of mindset eaisly robs the kingdom for itself, and takes it by violence. The violence of being totally ignorant of what they have done , and continue to do. Keep on living in an illusion, keep on defering the truth, keep on manipulating God, the continual repetition of this ignorance, is taking the Kingdom by violence. It is violent to keep on doing something, and NEVER consider if it is wrong to do.

Let me get into the Faith of Christ, and show you something critical about his moods.

Look, its a very hard thing to get into the Faith of Christ, its an intense study, not for the lazy or shallow intrest. You got to dig, and there are few old testement scriptures that even mention Faith or Christ. IF there are any. Its as if these are complettely new covenant realitys. Oh, the new covenant speaks about the faith of certain people, but the old covenant does not go into Faith in detail, nor Christ in detail.

In Hebrews 12:2, Jesus is called the Author and Finisher of our Faith, not the Holy Spirit. Jesus begins and accomplishes our conscious and unconscious belief in him.

One of the greatest examples of Jesus Faith in God, is when he endured the cross of suffering and ultimately death. We have not resisted to the point of shedding blood in our striving against sin, Hebrews 12:4. We have not got to that level of committment, and that level will dilute a sure number of public believers. God disciplined Jesus on the cross and scourged him himself. Made an example of him, Heb. 12:5-6. Those whom God Loves, he scourges. He will afflict you greatly. The greater the affliction, the greater the purpose. Certain believers really want no part in this, they seek to live without it, to escape the afflicition of God. Notice Heb. 12:8, " For if you are without discipline, of which we ALL have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons. Its just that plain and clear. Through suffering, the peaceful fruit of righteousness is born, vs.11.

The Faith of Christ was perfected in his sufferings, and his sufferings produced his Broodings.

Let me get a little more into his Faith.

Before the physical world was, Jesus was with God. Once God devised and revealed his plan to Christ, Jesus had to live from that moment on, knowing that he must be reduced to the flesh, stripped of his Glory, and made to take on the sins of an entire planets history. And then be tortured and killed. Man you talking about something to brood over, meditate over, something that stays within your mind, that has got to be intense for Christ, who IS Life!. He is Life because God made him to be Life.

Now Life is being required to Die!

In this senerio, the Father was actually creating another aspect of Jesus responsibility and Power, the Father was creating the " Ressurection." Through Jesus, ( the conduit) a way had to be made to bring humanity back to life, in a manner that wouldnot condemn them to death again. Through Jesus, ( the conduit) a way had to be devised for all of humanitys sins to be covered. So were discussing the awesome mind of a being who is the " Conduit of all things." And if you get into this, you are getting into the Mind of Christ, beginning to understand how he thinks.

Jesus is VERY concerned about us having Life, and having it eternally. He's going to get you your eternal life. He's going to get it man.

Reherse that thought constantly within your mind : Hes going to get you your eternal life.

But let me get into his mind a little further.

Jesus had been accustomed to speaking with the Father directly, he never had to pray to him. His mind had never been tampered with by the Father before. Now placed within the flesh, the Father tampered with his mind, humbling his great awesome mind, to live as a human child. A human teenager, an adult that had no ideal who he was until it was revealed to him. Now he must speak with God through prayer, a definte reduction of his former communication with the Father, his former glory was weighting on him.

This was another source of Jesus brooding.

And it shaped and designed a far different relationship than before with his Father.

And I want to go into that relationship.

Jesus close exposure to the Father, made him the being that he is. Up close and personal with ultimate Goodness, radiant perfection, all encompassing purity and Holiness. Its addicting and eluminating, I envy Christ. This is what Jesus was denied as he grew to maturity and began to know who he was. Once his mind was allowed full comprehension, he longed for his Father, something the Father perhaps tried to shorten for him. God knew Jesus would go through this.

Absense makes the Heart grow funder.

Jesus time as a human created a different perspective for him,  gave even Christ a more defined view of his Father. It also gave Christ a good view of us humans, setting the stage for a Savior that is unique.

A stage in the past, present and future, this egnigmatic Christ, whos mind is still being shaped by the Father.

And I want to continue of Jesus.

Jesus and his Father, the majestic Word and the everliving Father. When these two get together, all that is, is decided. All that exist is dependant on them. Oh what conversations these must be. Oh how wonderful these joining of the minds must be. In these moments, the real drama of life itself is played out. As Iron sharpens Iron, these are the real movements of Life itself. Pure reality conditions itself during these two getting together.

And from this comes the true mind of Christ.

Now if you want to know God, you got to get to know Christ first. John 6:44, no one can come to Christ, unless the Father draws them to Christ. Its a team effort, a work of unity. God " Sent Jesus", the Father who sent me must draw them. The Father " Sent him" to be the Savior of the world. The Father sent out his invitations to the wedding, and it is Jesus who we met first. Or will meet first.

Now, I have not met Christ, so I am learning what it is to be without him. Through that experience, I understand that I must first meet Christ, in order to meet the Father. I meet humans all the time, but that space of emptyness within me, is longing to meet Jesus. As Jesus longed to be back with his Father, I learn to long to meet my maker. This is how the hunger and thirst for righteousness is created in humans. First show them what it is, Jesus. Then show them they are without. Then fill the need.  God may require 50 years in the desert, before he fills the need.

Now today we live in the age of instant gradification, where we think we no longer need to wait, but have it all  right now. We tend to think we control Gods rotary organizer. So we miss out on the years of learning through suffering.

Jesus was given a taste of the suffering, now we have a Savior that is personally aware of the hurt and pain. Jesus actually speaks with the Father concerning us all. And from that I believe the principle of never putting us through things we cannot bear was created. We can only endure so much, which is why the doctrine of eternal hell suffering is insane.

Jesus said I do nothing from my own will. Here we have a Savior that the Father has given everything over too, yet he still insist on doing nothing from his own mind. THAT is the Faith of Christ!

And I want to get more into that Faith of his.

Peace.

Jesus creativeness is also evidence of his great faith in God, and Gods Faith in him. Christ created the human race with the expectation that the Father would save them all. And he has Faith in that, or he wouldnot reproduce so many failures. Creation in so many numbers is proof of Christ Faith in God.

And I want to show more of evidence of Christ Faith.

In the book of Colosians it states that all things were created by Christ, AND For him. For him to organize, to produce, to have and to hold. So humanitys Salvation, very salvation, is evidence of Christ Faith. Our Lives, our very lives, are based on Christ Faith in God. Our deaths will be based on Christ Faith. Our future is based on Christ Faith.

But Christ Faith is different from ours. His Faith is not based on things he cannot see, because he has great sight. His Faith IS based on the Father God.

And I want to get into that.

But Christ Faith is different from ours. His Faith is not based on things he cannot see, because he has great sight. His Faith IS based on the Father God.

And I want to get into that.

Christ is not just dreaming about our eternity, he knows its real. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, but remember and believe that Christ is also the first and the last, the beginning and the end of human history. He KNOWS our future, he does not need to Hope for it. The Father and Christ are not hoping for our future, they have CREATED it!

Humanity is an investment of God, through Jesus Christ we have MORE than Hope for our future, we HAVE a future! The present may seem harsh and trying, the hurt is very hard at times. Jesus broods over our pain, he certainly does. But we are garenteed our future through his absolute Faith in his Fathers ways and means.

The Father is absolute in his characther, his extraordinary way of bringing his will into fruitition, is the very essence of Christ Faith. Jesus has repeatedly seen for eons, the ways and means of his Father. Over and over again, perhaps billions of times, witnessed his Father accomplish his ultimate will. Jesus mind and Faith was super conditioned by being right next to the Father for so long. This will automatically produce the greatest Faith possible, being so close to God, for so long.

And I want to open that up more.

Peace.

I wanted to close this post out by saying  We have a Savior who is understanding of our whole relm of experiences, and personally went through some himself. Even our most high savior has emotions , even he has moods and a mind that thinks deeply about things. Not that we need to keep Jesus human, but he did become a human, and was changed back into eternal. Proving that it will happen to us also.

Sometimes I find myself doubting this whole thing, my Faith grows weak. I feel far from Christ, his Regal existance beyond me. It gets to be a bit much for me. Writting about him is a release, but it makes me long for him. I know how much I need him, and have yet to get to know him.

I know it will be quite something if I am ever to get to know him.

Peace.
