I believe God is all loving, all powerful and righteous. I believe that every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. I believe that He will drag all men to Himself. I believe that God wills for all men to be saved and come to knowledge of the truth. But by the church, that makes me a heretic. That also means Jesus Christ, John the Baptist, the 12, and all the early Christians were heretics. Such beautiful heresy...
I remember thinking the same when I first came in to UR. I think there is a blog or a website that is named something similar.

Outside an authoritarian, monolithic Church, I don't think the concept of heresy even makes sense. We have different points of view, but they should remain just that. The concept of heresy should be put to sleep, given the mind-numbing multiplicity of views within Christianity. :sigh: :2c: :sigh:
Eternal torment is the greatest heresy I have ever heard of. Worse yet, many believe it and call it just.
I was in awe at the truth and wonder in the lyrics of one of our worship songs we played/sang yesterday in our worship service:
