I was thinking about how Jesus is referred to as the "Savior of the world" and realized it must be saying that the entirety of the human race will be saved.
Think of this: if a firefighter went into a burning school building and saved 50 of 300 students would he be considered "savior of the school"? No, because he only saved 50 of the students. He'd be considered "savior of the 50 school students."
BUT, if he were to save 300 of the 300 students, he WOULD be considered "savior of the school" or, that is, the entirety of the students associated with the school.
So, if Jesus is considered the "Savior of the world" that must mean he will LITERALLY SAVE ALL OF THOSE ASSOCIATED WITH THE WORLD, or, ALL OF MANKIND. :bigGrin:

That's sheer nonsense since a firefighter is to safe people no matter if in agreement or completely against their own wish. That's what a lifesaver is all about. Same goes for Jesus by the way. What would make Jesus an almighty savior if actually his own plan is subject to OUR wishes? He would not be God he would not be almighty he would not be the savior of all and above all WE wouldn't be "all in all" as the bible says we will be.
It is not like you have to send an application in if you want to be saved, neither with a firefighter nor with Jesus. If you are in need and they get wind of it they WILL help. Just that Jesus always gets wind of it, because he was the God that became flesh and wandered on earth. Jesus IS God that is the fundamental base of all Christian belief, yet still some people see Jesus' powers limited just like those of a human being, which is nonsense. God is almighty and in his Gospel he revealed his plan that one day we shall be all in all. Now what is it about God that makes people think he will fail in fulfilling his plan? Is he a scientist or a football player? No he is God; Jesus saved ALL people though they have sinned. BECAUSE that was what God wanted! He wants us ALL to be saved. We can't mess with him, God is God!
People think that us having a free will is in direct competition with God's plan, but that is illogical since our free will already IS a part of God's plan. Now how can a part OF the plan be in competition with the plan?
The traditional view is one in which the single human can mess with God. That is a plain misinterpretation of David against Goliad. For God is not our enemy but our very own father and we are not fighting against him we are part of his plan. God's plans aren't foolish or full of surprises he is working everything out in accordance with his plan. We can't err more than God lets us. Not more than his plans allow us to. That bit however can already be a very intense erring to the human being, but it is tiny and little and of no server effect to God's plan at all. THAT is what we need to realize.
AND: Jesus'coming into the world to save us all wasn't based on a human voting or a referendum. We weren't even asked. Of course we weren't, because we have no power to decide about God's plan. It is HIS plan and we are only part of it. His plan is one of love. That is why he saved us through Jesus even against our own wish:

Sure it brings glory to the firefighter. If he could save all it would looks like he has a no brainer lousy job.
But when the 50 see they are the ones saved they are extra happy.
But that's human reasoning. We are not God so the above proves nothing...
OTOH we are created in/as the shadow of God. Most translations write 'image' but especially (whoops...) Jewish people translate it as shadow.
My personal interpretation is that a shadow is dark. God is light. We are the dark (mirror) image of God.
If even our dark souls find saving only 50 on purpose to sadistic to be true how would a light souls view it?
If most of humanity finds such things totally not done and God says: "Kewl more glory" then God has a darker soul.... :2c:

IMO, Christ is not so much the fireman, the "whom", but the "which". Christ is Spirit, just as the Father is Spirit. It's the Spirit that saves even more then the one delivering the Spirit. The fireman provided axe/ladder/water/breathing apparatus etc.... to save.
Jesus Christ the first begotten of many is the "standard" by which all are saved. There is a way, and Christ Jesus walked on this earth in human form to "show the way". Not just to split hairs, but to note that we are looking for a way of God that provides salvation for all.
Jesus walked on this planet in human form seeing things in a way that no one else could. Because he didn't question who he was and is, he had great authority over all, and he acted like it. His compassion is so greatly recognized, because he was so powerful over all his enemies.
If we had the power Jesus had when he walked the planet in human form, what would we do with it?
Would we heal "all" the sick, cure "all" diseases, bind "all" the devils, reveal the hidden mysteries to "all", or to just a handful as he did. If it is time to cure "all", would we also stop all weather related tragedies, heal the land and air from pollutions, fix it so that no animals need to kill for food. How far would you go right at this moment if you had the miraculous power Jesus had? What would be your next move starting now?

You mean that God uses contrasting veiws and actions on the Earth to demonstrate cause and effect , so that people can see and learn that if they sow love they recieve love and if the place high importance on things of low value, then they do not find peace until they began to rearrange their life in a manner that promotes the higher values. If I never knew hunger than food would not be valuable to me( although it would be necessary and even enjoyable, I could not appreciate it equally.)
