I'm sure this has probably been discussed here before, but it's the first I remember reading it since being presented with UR.
27 All the ends of the earth
will remember and turn to the LORD,
and all the families of the nations
will bow down before him,
28 for dominion belongs to the LORD
and he rules over the nations.
Wow. Powerful.
Great passage Shawn.
You can build a very strong case for UR using only Psalms.
Psalm 66, 67, 96-100, 139, 145 and 147 are especially relevant.
Psalm 66
1 May God be gracious to us and bless us
and make his face shine on us—
2 so that your ways may be known on earth,
your salvation among all nations.
3 May the peoples praise you, God;
may all the peoples praise you.
4 May the nations be glad and sing for joy,
for you rule the peoples with equity
and guide the nations of the earth.
5 May the peoples praise you, God;
may all the peoples praise you.
6 The land yields its harvest;
God, our God, blesses us.
7 May God bless us still,
so that all the ends of the earth will fear him.
Notice that all will fear Him.
Psalm 145: 9 The LORD is good to all;
he has compassion on all he has made.
10 All your works praise you, LORD;
your faithful people extol you.
...
19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cry and saves them.
Notice that those who fear Him, God hears their cry and saves them!
But of course some will object and say to look at verse 20: the wicked are destroyed!
Psalm 145:20 The LORD watches over all who love him,
but all the wicked he will destroy.
To that I say amen, the wicked will be destroyed! (No one will be wicked any longer)
