Title: Please help..need some clarification
Post by: lee100 on August 19, 2009, 11:17:44 PM
Hey Guys & Gals,

Glad to be here. I'm not sure if UR is biblical..so I'm reseaeching to see where God leads me.I hope you guys can help. I notice in the bible where it mentions child of wrath and child of God, righteous and unrighteous, etc it seems to me there are 2 types of people in the bible. Where I'm confused is if we are all God's children then why does the bible distinguish 2 types of people? Can you guys give me some insight on Matthew 26:24. Its a doozy. Where Jesus says that the one betraying him it would be better for him if he was not born. Thata is a serious state ment from the Lord. What do you guys think?   :mshock:

Ps Who is this Chosenof God37, I dont agree with everything he says but he seems to have good revelation of the scriptures, maybe he can help. Thanks.

Questions are the start of knowledge.

Lots to read. After reading you possibly are still not convinced of UR but at least you know it's not based on 1 verse quotes out of context...

Paul wasn't exactly a child of God to put it mildly.
But after the road to Damascus he became one. He was converted. And not by his own actions.
That alone shows people can go from one group to another group.
About Mat. 26:24 I think there is a thread about it already. If I can find it I'll post it here.
There are several views on that verse. But none means he'll burn forever.

Most on this forum think COG is very wrong/blinded.
And my guess is Paul H. belongs to that group. :happy3:

I am laughing because soon after COG was restricted from the forum for spamming someone just happens to come along asking if he can help because of his good grasp of the scriptures.

This is not to say COG was all wrong, but it simply was the contradictory way He wished to discuss.   Being presented with a goal to prove to him our beliefs indicated that there was no intention of listening.  He also would reply using words not directly in scripture after expecting only direct words in scripture from us.

This may be presumptuous, I take the full blame for speaking my mind and will accept the consequenses, but I will have a hard time believing you're either not him or not associated with him in some way.

I will let others respond from here on out lest I become entangled in this web.

Hey Whitewings,

I got that. What is confusing is if you say both the child of God (conversion) and the child of wrath are both God's children isn't that contradicting what the bible says..isn't that why they are distinguished separately? How can that be?

I think the reason Paul LOL'd was because I suspect he has a (rightly) sneaking suspicion that lee100 has the same ISP address as CoG37 if you get my meaning.

How am I gonna talk my way out of this?  :laughing7:
In a way we all are childeren of God. Because there is only one creator. That's God. It's not that there a second creator for bad people.
But I wasn't saying that. Or at least didn't mean to if you read that between the lines.
Lets say the group of God contains 5% of humanity (just a standard ET number) the other group contains the other 95%.
Paul was in the 95% group but now is in the 5% group.
Basicly, as I understand UR as a newbie, is that eventually all are in the 5% group. Of course by then that group is 100%

Hey lee, you bring up a really good point. I never thought of things that way. I'm really rethinking my stand on believing God really does love everyone. I think you may be right. I now see how God really hates almost everyone because that's how many are locked up in stubbornness. I can also now see how those few of us (and I count you, I and cog as part of the saved 'us') I can see how God really only loves us. It gives me such a secure, warm feeling knowing I made the cut.

I mean if it were any other way then the Bible would surely be contradicting itself because I know it's not how we read and interpret it.

I feel much more free now to hate those disgusting sobs who deny my Lord and Savior. Burning in hell forever is really too good for them. I am sensing a great hatred for some people that I can think of now and I'm sure it will grow as I embrace what I sense you are kind of getting at or at least what cog  believes.

You are setting me free with your questions which you ask from your heart and I thank you and will await your response.

God bless.

"It is in Him, and through the shedding of His blood, that we have our deliverance--the forgiveness of our offences--so abundant was God's grace, the grace which He, the possessor of all wisdom and understanding, lavished upon us, when He made known to us the secret of His will. And this is in harmony with God's merciful purpose for the government of the world when the times are ripe for it--the purpose which He has cherished in His own mind of restoring the whole creation to find its one Head in Christ; yes, things in Heaven and things on earth, to find their one Head in Him."

It is incorrect to say that everyone in the world is a 'child of God'. This is simply untrue.
Can any parent correctly claim that the children belonging to their neighbour up the street are also their own children?
This only occurs with adoption; that is why the Bible speaks about us being 'adopted' into the family of God.
It is better said that everyone in the world is a 'creation' of God; and everyone who is becomes Born Again forms part of the RE-Creation and it is only these 'new creatures' who can rightly claim to be 'children of God' and form the family of God. Only those who are born (aka: re-born) of the Spirit of God, belong to the family of God.
Are there two types of people in this world?
The short answer is both yes and no.
The first thing we know is that every human creature has a physical body; and the second thing we know is that each of these human creatures possess a spirit and a soul; the invisible part of them.
In this visible natural world, there are no obvious differences between groups of people because everyone is being seen "after the flesh". In the same way, a herd of sheep don't share any distinguishing amongst them either; except shape and color and things as such. The natural creation is very rudimentary in that respect.
However, there are those who were born as purely natural earthly creatures but who also enjoy the regenerative powers inherent to being re-born into the family of God.
After the flesh, there is no distinguishing mark which might serve to separate this particular group; but after the Spirit, they are recognized as belonging to the family of God; because they have been re-born into it.
The Spirit of God behaves as 'spermatogenesis' and a new creature is born. This creature is a spirit being; (similar to God who is also a spirit being). This new creature (spirit being) is invisible and belongs to the invisible world of the spirits. The Bible tells us that these new creatures have been raised up and now dwell in the heavenly places; in the kingdom of Heaven.
As born again Christians, our faith enables us to look beyond the veil; to look beyond the things which are visible and we begin to testify about the "evidence of things unseen".
Yes, as humans we inhabit clay jars which are visible to the naked eye; but as new creatures we also inhabit the heavenly places and then thus become visible to those with spiritual eyes.

As for your question concerning "it is better that you had not been born", I will happily give you my comments on that if you can first manage to muddle through the above. :)

Gilbert,

thanks for your educating input. I was reading through some other threads and i came across other people on this forum saying that all of God's creation are his children. i guess there are different opinions on this.

There are children and there are children.

You guess there are different opinions on this? Is this really a surprise to you? I mean really?

Just be thankful that some of us don't treat newcomers like some people 'treat' most of Gods creation.

Even though I may not 'like' certain people I know they are loved by God and are destined for eternal life so I know even though I don't like them now, I will love them later. I do work on loving my enemies though.

"For by Him everybody and everything were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—everybody and everything have been created through Him and for Him. He is before everybody and everything, and in Him everybody and everything is held together. He is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everybody and everything. For it was the Father's good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile everybody and everything to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, everybody and everything on earth or in heaven."

I believe this answers the question of dead body on earth being made right/ cleaned/ sins forgiven after they died over 2009 years ago.

Tony's reply:
Mat 26:24 The Son of Mankind is indeed going away, according as it is written concerning Him, yet woe to that man through whom the Son of Mankind is being given up! Ideal were it for Him if that man were not born!"

Tony's reply: The CLNT deliberately capitalizes the "H" in 'Him' which is referring to Jesus Christ."

Let us put Mark 14:21 and Luke 22:22 into a display that will make it much easier to understand why "Him" should be capitalized, and, does indeed, refer to the Son of Mankind and not Judas:

"Patting yourself on the back" there areya, COG?  Under the "disguise" of LEE100?  :laughing7:  Bearing FALSE WITNESS is a DIRECT and WILLFUL, DISOBEDIENCE which is DUE, ...WRATH... better get ready!  :sigh:

The WRATH of God is come against ALL Ungodliness and ALL Unrighteousness of ALL MEN -- Rom 1:18 -- not just those, who in their FOLLY, wallow in foolish self deception of themselves, thinking that their UNRIGHTEOUSNESS and UNGODLINESS is IMPERTINENT to the WRATH of YHVH... :pitiful:

If one SOWS TO the FLESH, one REAPS of the FLESH... it's really pretty simple.  If you have SINNED, you WILL suffer in the FLESH for it... for you have SOWN...

CHRIST TOOK AWAY the SIN of the WORLD concerning ETERNITY (Salvation enabling ALL to RETURN to it), not concerning TIME and the TEMPORAL... which SUFFERS the WRATH of GOD -- Rom 9:21-22 -- What do you think CANCER, AIDS, Murder, War, Hurricanes, Tornadoes, HEPATITAS, Pneumonia, Polio, (the list is ENDLESS)... ARE?  A "precursor"? To the coming dealings of the GOD who is LOVE?  What FOOLISHNESS, and ILLOGIC is bound within this IMPRISONED thinking...

Is this GOOD [Gospel] NEWS?  :dontknow: -- HARDLY!

We shall ALL still "reap" what we "sow" while IN the flesh... As IS NOTED by Scripture:

Gal 6:7-8  be not DECIEVED, God is not "mocked"; for WHATSOEVER a man SOWETH, ...THAT... shall he also REAP... For he that SOWETH to his FLESH shall OF THE FLESH REAP CORRUPTION... but he that SOWETH to the SPIRIT shall of the Spirit, REAP ...eternal [aionios] life. --

"Aionios" is a TIME oriented and DERIVED, term... See John 17:3 -- to KNOW CHRIST is "Life AIONIOS" (thanks brother Dante!)

It's really quite simple... only the RELIGIOUS make it complicated...

One REAPS via obedience (UNSELFISH Spiritual behavior), ...KNOWING CHRIST while in the FLESH, ...OR... via DISOBEDIENCE (SELFISH fleshly behavior) -- CORRUPTION while in the flesh...  :dontknow:
