Title: My foundation for believing in UR
Post by: anti_nietzsche on November 03, 2015, 07:59:08 AM
I fasten everything on Christ and His cross. On that bloody Cross Jesus Christ forgave his own murderers that were the worst kinds of sinners. He said, "Forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing!". This applies to everyone who is doing evil. They don't know what they do.

The next is, damnation to a fiery hell of suffering would not be a meting out of justice according to God's principle of eye for an eye. And Jesus actually said we must have an even better justice than eye for an eye.

That is why I believe in a God who can solve the justice dilemma with something better than hell. Was it conceivable that God would base his justice on a Messiah who got crucified and who rose from the dead? No, nobody foresaw that. And how much it accomplished! And God has many tricks upon his sleeve like that. For example, I once had a vision of the afterlife and I saw mighty angels there who can easily protect the innocent from sinners like Hitler. He has to work in a mine for a long time until he can rejoin the others.

And additionally, after death we loose our flesh. We do not do evil after death anymore, it's just not in us anymore.

Amen!!

The very point about forgiveness is what Paul drives home in;
1 Tim 1;13 " Even though I was formerly a blasphemer, persecutor and insolent person, but I was shown mercy because I acted in unbelief."
vs 15 " Christ came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am the chief."
vs 16 But for this reason I was shown mercy so that in me as foremost Christ might display His complete patience as an illustration for those who were to believe in Him for aeonian life."

Titus 3;5 " God saved us not because of works of righteousness that we did, but He saved us according to His mercy."

" And additionally, after death we loose our flesh. We do not do evil after death anymore, it's just not in us anymore"

The reality of In Christ. Amen!!!!

hi! I haven't read your post yet, or this thread yet (or I don't think I have:) it just seems the perfect title to post this which i was thinking this morning.

It's obvious (imo) that God is pure life. He is pure intelligence. He is pure goodness, pure love, pure mercy.. all the good attributes. He is these things. They are Him. They have no other source.

Perfect - which God is (surely?) - makes no mistakes. Loses nothing.

And the end result of all this (angelic & human history and life as we know it) simply cannot turn out to be anything less than the absolutely best possibility.

And we Have His Word!! (His oath. His promise.) "..the lion will eat straw like the ox." (Is 11:7)

He is. ..that's why I believe UR.

For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.

The Love of an infinite God cannot fail - failure is excluded, and failure is not an option - it is not on the table, it is kicked down the hall, down the stairs, out the door into outer darkness.  There will be laughter and smiles.
