Matt Slick on his Carm.org website said there are  VERY GOOD
Reasons why Universalism is a Banned Discussion on Carm.org and anyone even mentioning it once will be Banned :dunno2:   He says the Universalists have Misbehaved and were Very Disruptive :dsunny:

and the atheists and witches, warlocks and goths on that website NEVER say anything
a "good christian boy" like Matt would find offensive.
If he says he allows it in order to witness to them, OK
But, since he believes we (UR'ers) will be ET'd, shouldn't he try to witness to us rather than dismiss and avoid.

That whole web site seems to be BY Matt Slick, OF Matt Slick, and FOR Matt Slick.  :punish: If UR gains any kind of foothold (or even a toehold) there, Matt will have egg on his face, and lose face (and control).  :footmouth: In the end, it's probably about advertising revenue.  :2c:

Matt Slick is a self invested authority on everything and has been an aggressive self appointed judge of all for a long time. He kind of reminds me of a guy named Saul, who made it his passion to persecute believers, until he got knocked off his high horse by the one who had called him from before the foundation of the world to be a messenger of the good news, and an unveiler of mysteries. I think a guy named Stephen was one of the instruments the Father used to draw Saul to faith in Messiah Yeshua. May the servants of the Lord continue to pray, with every stone he throws, "Father, hold not this sin to their charge", in the Spirit of Christ.

Disruptive because he failed over and over to defend his satanic doctrine.
Every arguent he had was immediately refuted. A few of these discussion are here on TM.

I personally don't see anything wrong with Matt running what he considers a church based on 'pure' or traditional doctrine, not that I have ever spent much time over there.

We all know that most churches that put the word universal on their name end up being run by witches, budhists,  new agers, etc because since all are saved,  they reason, all doctrine is acceptable.  This is now becoming true of more traditional churches, as well.

There needs to be a place where the elementary principles of Christ are taught.

For those wanting to move on,  you guys are here to catch them,  those who are

leaving behind the elementary teachings about the Messiah, [and are ready to] continue to be carried along to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, faith toward God, Heb 6;1

well, but, does he keep those in 'their place'?  I don't go there, but obviously he feels threatened by the universalists.  What does he find threatening?  Maybe they are making too much sense about a doctrine that he doesn't consider 'mainstream'?

I very rarely visit carm and never when UR was still allowed there. So I can't compare if for example muslims behave better or worse than ETs.

QuoteWhat does he find threatening
Nothing according to him. It's just that URs do nothing but starting fights. That's what I understood from Tenties that visited that forum long ago.

QuoteMaybe they are making too much sense about a doctrine that he doesn't consider 'mainstream'?
Think so. Plus his defense is to weak. His arguments are almost instantly and totally shredded.
Most Christians won't be impressed if an Atheistt starts shouting Jesus is a hoax.
But if some UR starts proving Christians wrong with their own Bible things get diffrent.

I always wondered why TM has a rebutals to carm section. Carm is no worse than many other et sites.

Thanks for touching on this, as you have the history.  I thought of trying to clarify, but hadn't done so.  As I understand, there were several people involved back then - several of the same ones that were here in the past that liked to fight and insult etc. - that actually apparently were pretty inappropriate over at CARM.  I guess it was a combination of Matt seeing UR as heresy and some of the UR folks being pretty nasty.  One of them confessed to being wrong on this board prior to their leaving awhile back.  UR is also probably harder to "explain away", so it may just be easier to ban it.  Guessing.   As far as CARM itself, I actually find quite a few things on there helpful and useful.  Finally, the CARM rebuttal board has been removed from here some time back. Although I've often fallen into it myself,  I just don't see any benefit in fighting and being nasty to folks. Share when led, let the Holy Spirit work.   :2c:
