Title: Lazarus
Post by: lookingup on May 31, 2009, 05:43:08 AM
i just had a fleeting thought and wanted to post it before it slipped off my cracker.

i find it kinda strange that there is no writings from Lazarus, if he was in "hell" for 4 days it seems to me he would have been "on fire"  :laughing7: to tell the world as to what he was saved from as a testimony to repentance.

On the other hand if he went to heaven at death it would be the same: telling all about it.

i have not heard of any such writings, is there any?
i just think that strange if not.

                              Blessings all

                                   Henry

What a testimony that would have been!

I think he was dead, the dead know nothing.

Lazarus was as Samuel was just before Saul had the witch raise him from his sleep. Neither were in heaven or hell, but asleep. In fact Samuel seemed a bit peeved at Saul for waking him up.

Sorry for the confusion guys.

It was a little late last night when this thought hit me.

The Lazuras i was thinking of was from John 11:38-43.

The downside to written word is you can't "see" the intent of the author, it was one of those "kinda roll your eyes moment, since i do believe that when you are dead you are dead.
The scriptures say the dead know nothing and at death all thoughts perish.
This was a tongue in cheek kinda thing.

i also had a fleeting thought when i first woke up: Too bad Lazuras didn't have bill weiss around to give him a few pointers on how to make a little change from his experience  :laughing7:

maybe Lazurus really wanted a better ressurection. I wouldn't be to

hip to have died once..then find myself right back here again..

in the same situation. Only thing good about it..is the GLORY OF

GOD OVER DEATH AND HOW IT STRENGTHENED PEOPLE'S FAITH

  Isaaih 38;18,19

For the grave can not praise you, death can not sing your praise,

those who go down to the pit can not hope for your faithfullness.

the LIVING, the LIVING-THEY PRAISE YOU......
