It is *impossible* for God to fail. "Love never fails." 1 Cor. 13:8
"God is love" and "love never fails". Also.. isn't He life itself? The life force? "In the beginning, God." What else would be? And the Word says He "is perfect". So if He were to lose one 'soul', He would - in that case, and with that person - fail.
But "Love never fails". And perfection plus any failure at all, would equal imperfection. Wouldn't it? And not only is imperfection the opposite of life, but He'd be the opposite of Himself. And would it haunt Him, that one failure for it was the loss of a person, and it's the nature of love, to love. It's easy to see how utterly impossible that whole scenario really is. And conclusion of the issue (surely?) is it's impossible, because He IS perfect. And because - 1 John 4:8 - "He is love" and "love never fails". Cannot fail.
:Peace2: p.s. sister D. has quoted "love never fails" many times.. thanks, sister D! :gsmile:
