Hi James - thank you for the very precious anniversary gift you gave me.  Well. it seems I should be thanking the Holy Spirit as you didn't know that March 23, 2010, is the one year anniversary of my joining Tentmaker Discussion Forum under the id Francine; nor did you know that the last stanza and the Refrain of the hymn "At Calvary" by William R. Newell, 1895, formed the Introduction for a short play I wrote in March, 2007, entitled "The Greatest Show on Earth - Calvary"

I doubt that Mr. Newell believed in "universal reconciliation".  Yet the last stanza and the refrain very definitely support the concept of "universal reconciliation."  I no longer have the hundreds of pages used for this play; I actually never really completed the play; all that I have kept and posted on my small bulletin board are the last stanza and refrain of the hymn.

Oh, the love that drew salvation's plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span
At Calvary

Mercy there was great and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty
At Calvary

Can you imagination how thrilled I was when I read your post- the words from At Calvary just absolutely rang joyous notes.

It's been a fruitful year.

Isaiah 50:4  The LORD God hath given me the tongue of the learned that I should know how to speak a word in season to them that are weary.  He wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.

Knowing, recognizing the season in which to share what He is teaching me is my prayer.

James, I appreciate your very gentle spirit.
