Does Universalism require a strict set of Dogma

I have noticed that many of the articles written on this website do not necessarily all have the same opinions.  Some people seem more interested in Universalism of the Early Church(Apokatastasis), Evangelical Universalism, Liberal, Conservative, ect.

As far as the website, Gary probably leans more toward a conservative, Bible-based Ultimate Reconciliation belief (as do I).  He calls it The Victorious Gospel of Jesus Christ - strictly Christ-centered.   Some that I would view as being of that persuasion are Thomas J. Kissinger, J. Preston Eby and Charles Slagle to name a few.  This is my perception, I can't speak for Gary - but I believe he is open to a pretty wide range of interpretations on many things (thus the varying articles) as long as they can be argued within a view of the scriptures - stopping short of a New Age, "anything goes/all roads lead to God" POV - and, as long as they don't teach an eternal "hell".

Just as there are many denominations within "Christendom", I think within UR there are many, many flavors.  I think the common denominator among Biblical UR'ists is Jesus, Savior of the World, and God will be All in All - no eternal torment.  Beyond that, there are multiple different views on details - how and when all are reconciled, after-life punishment or not, "heaven in the sky" vs. renewed earth, etc.  But the very basics are the same, it's the many details that bring so many levels of points of view.  There is a group that has attempted to specify a "membership" and sort of UR creed, but I personally don't recommend it.   :2c:
