Title: did you ever consider...
Post by: sven on January 22, 2009, 08:41:48 PM
Jesus spoke aramaic i quess, no matter what aionon actually means, as far as i know there was no word meaning eternal in the sense of endless in ancient hebrew or aramaic, so Jesus might have said olam - it's obvious that olam doesn't mean eternal in many places in the Old Testament, where the septuagint translates aionon, i think this might a good argument that Jesus might have never used a word meaning eternal in his mother tonque, what do you think about?

i think if we just accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour and do what is right, it won't matter what the word means.  God knows this is what the world needs right now.

6And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

7If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted?
