Title: city-data rhetoric
Post by: legoman on March 24, 2010, 05:56:15 AM
I had a busy night over at city-data.com, seems like the anti-UR rhetoric is really heating up.   :sigh:

Check it out if you want...

Lego,

I don't know what thread you are refering too. There a quite a few there
Lots of TM names.
Is it that thread in which someone suggest to ask a Rabbi for the meaning of Olam?
If so I think I have a link to a Jewish site that states it mean "over the horizon" Not eternal.
I also have several quotes from Rabbi's on how long 'hell' lasts.
After showing that to them they will no longer suggest to consult a Rabbi.... :laughing7:

Good job: Legoman, firstborn, trettep, Sparrow Eusibus, ...

A whole bunch just popped up last night.  I've been a bit frustrated by the whole thing lately.  So I comment in all of them, perhaps to my downfall...

Here are some of the thread names:

How Should I Lie To You? (Their Point of View....)
Love the Universalist, but hate the Lie
On Deception and being Deceived
OK.... eternal is not "eternal", any guess how long UR's determine people will spend time in eternal life?
Universalism is about Fear . . Not Love . . .
How Should I Lie To You?

Its when the accusations of "lying" start flying out - I don't appreciate being called a liar.

... was shorthand for JamesMRohde & Sven  :laughing7:
Likely overlooked some others too. Sorry peeps  :icon_jokercolor:
Maybe a url in your+ sig or profile to TM or another UR site is a good thing?
I'm not a frequent reader there. My brain is to small to follow the deep Christian logic.

Quote"God is love because He created us for eternal torture but saved 5%  :bowing:
Quote:thumbsup:
QuoteYeah! God is just. 95% of humanity wants to be tortured forever.
QuoteYou said it bro!!
QuoteI'm gonna Rep you
QuoteJamesMRohde: God is love.
QuoteSee! I told ya. UR is based on fear.
QuoteYeah. Lying UR heretics. Slandering the good character of our Lord

After much consideration I choose to stay a firstborn's "Christians in diapers".
Most on that forum better wear the diapers around there mouth  :laughing7:

You will never convert your main opponents but there is hope for others.
There is a silent majority. I don't know his/her name. Someone with 15 posts, today/yesterday posted something similar as "Thanks guys for the discussions. I don't post much but I learn from reading arguments from both sides."

With only a few posts, yet I often get close to 5,000 readers a week according to the site's estimates.  I know they count any who click on that page of posts where mine is, yet it indicates a far higher number of visits to these posts than can be accounted for by those who post there in the Chrisitian forum.  There are readers from city-data who rarely post in the Christian forum.  Many involved with their own "city forums" come over and read our stuff, so I think God has attracted several very able UR posters to get the truth exposed.  One I've missed recently is Shana.  If anyone comes across this woman of color who's really got the  goods, beg her to put tentmaker on her circuit riding stop-overs.  She'll steal your heart and ride off into the sunrise with it forever.

Most will probably skip your posts, just read them to debunk, etc.
But even if only 1% (50) is reading them seriously that's a fantastic score....
