In my opinion, it is not just the ones who are powerful in the earth sense and think that they hold the earth in their hands, but also the one who is lowly, the one who is in filthy rags - each should be a shepherd because there are sheep nearby which must be brought into the great Fold of Love.
Where are their sheep? Where do they wander? Where are their staffs? Who is their God?
According to my understanding, the time must come to each one individually, when having to view the past, they will see that not only did they themselves wander, but in doing so, because the shepherds had forgotten their flocks, they took those more ignorant still into a prison house in which they were bound in chains.
Yet, thank GOD, there is one mighty and tender Shepherd of us all who never forgets and never turns His Face, even from those in bondage, because they are His. Time [as the mortal mind sees time], to the Mind of the Almighty One has no meaning, and the day will come when the one who was lost shall be gathered into His Arms and find peace at long last.
The Saviour is loved by many but understood little in His fullness.
Awesome !!! :icon_flower:

 Totally agree , it sure should ......
That's why I don't go to church. "Hell" is a lie straight from Satan that comes through the Roman Empire into what masquerades as the ecclesia today, but is nothing more than Satan's counterfeit culture of irrational fear based on forgery in the translation of scripture. The Old English word "hell," translated in the King James Version from the Greek "hades," literally "unseen," is simply the unseen state of dead souls that scripture says nothing about having anything to do with suffering especially being tortured alive in fire forever. The common misconception of "hell" as torture in fire forever attempts to be validated by intentional confusion with "Gehenna" twelve times in the New Testament by forgery for the purpose of propagating the lie of God torturing the majority of mankind in fire forever (Matthew 5:22,29 & 30, 10:28, 18:9, 23:15 & 33; Mark 9:43,45 & 47; Luke 12:5 & James 3:6). "Gehenna" is simply a ravine outside the city wall of Jerusalem used by ancient apostate Jews to sacrifice their children in fire to Moloch, an Ammonite god, and then used as the city garbage dump where sacrificed animal carcasses and the corpses of executed criminals were burned as it is said it will be used again in the next eon, the Millennium, when Christ will rule Israel in Jerusalem.
"And it will come to be, as often as the new moon comes in its monthly time, And as often as the sabbath comes in its sabbath cycle, All flesh shall come to worship before Me, says Yahweh. And they will go forth and see the corpses of the mortals who transgressed against Me, For their worm shall not die, And their fire shall not be quenched, And they will become a repulsion to all flesh" (Isaiah
66:23 & 24).
Christ was not warning his people about being tortured in fire forever, but about suffering the dishonorable death of not having a proper burial while their dead bodies were burned with the city garbage in "Gehenna," not "hell."
"The lake of fire" is obviously not "hell" because "hell" will be cast into "the lake of fire" (Revelation 20:14-King James Version).
Even the adulterated versions of scripture say God is the savior of all mankind who will reconcile all through Christ so that God may be all in all.
"We rely on the living God, Who is the Saviour of all mankind, especially of believers." (1 Timothy 4:10)
"through Him to reconcile all to Him (making peace through the blood of His cross), through Him, whether those on the earth or those in the heavens" (Colossians 1:20)
"Yet now Christ has been roused from among the dead, the Firstfruit of those who are reposing. For since, in fact, through a man came death, through a Man, also, comes the resurrection of the dead. For even as, in Adam, all are dying, thus also, in Christ, shall all be vivified. Yet each in his own class: the Firstfruit, Christ; thereupon those who are Christ's in His presence; thereafter the consummation, whenever He may be giving up the kingdom to His God and Father, whenever He should be nullifying all sovereignty and all authority and power. For He must be reigning until He should be placing all His enemies under His feet. The last enemy is being abolished: death. For He subjects all under His feet. Now whenever He may be saying that all is subject, it is evident that it is outside of Him Who subjects all to Him. Now, whenever all may be subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also shall be subjected to Him Who subjects all to Him, that God may be All in all." (1 Corinthians 15:20-28)

Great video
Oh dear. I am afraid he definitely has a point! So sad.. the fires of Molech.. strangely, i just heard about the "Bohemian Grove" (about usa and world leaders).. anybody heard anything about that?.. and we know what "groves" were, in the Old Testament.. [iF this is going on, hopefully no `christians` are there!]
  i'm learning (i think) two things these days.. the 'end'/judgments are closer than i've thought, and wickedness is deeper and worse than i thought (and i pretty much thought it was pretty bad already)..
But! "..in patience possess ye your souls"/life..

Yeah, I guess the thing with Abraham is how the priests conned the Jews into doing the Moloch thing, but they should have listened to Yahweh and wiped out their enemies instead of mingling with them. And the thing with Christ is one of the things the atheists point to saying Christianity is a warped ideology of death worship. It's hard for a lot of people to understand why God requires sacrifice, but it seems like sacrifice in just a part of life. Parents sacrifice for their kids. The greatest love is said to be when somebody sacrifices his soul for his friends. A seed falls to the ground and dies to produce new life in the form of the next generation of a plant. Christ died to give us life. God sacrificed the life of his son for our lives. Even atheist parents sacrifice for their kids because love is all about sacrifice even if that love is just natural love without any belief or knowledge as far as we can see of the spiritual realm. Wild animals sacrifice for their young, but the thing is that it matters who you're sacrificing to. There is only one true God who is to be sacrificed to. The priests should have told the Jews that. I sometimes wonder what I would have done if somebody claiming to be God told me to take my son up on the mountain and kill him as a sacrifice. I think that probably would have made me crazy wondering what I'm supposed to do. Why would God want me to do that, and how do I know it's not Satan trying to trick me? I guess causing my wife to get pregnant when she's way past child bearing age ought to have been a clue that something supernatural is going on, but why should I have to kill my son? That's the guy who is supposed to be the father of three major world religions who have been fighting each other for thousands of years even though we're all brothers. These days anybody who wants to perform human sacrifice is considered crazy which I think maybe some folks probably thought about Abraham too, but that's the story we have in scripture folks to show the power of faith. I think you just better be real sure about which god you're worshiping or you're going to be in big trouble if you pick the wrong one. It understandably upsets us to think about killing a child of ours to sacrifice to any god, but, in the big picture, I think this relatively short life we have now will seem insignificant when we finally receive immortality. I guess it's all about faith that death is not the end, and Christ's resurrection proved that.

Why did Jephthah sacrifice his daughter? Surely in the Old Testament God was against human sacrifice. However there is a hint in this Bible version that she may not have been killed but lived the rest of her life as a virgin.
I think she only went away for two months with her friends to weep for her virginity and then came back so he could do the deed. It seems sacrifice was a way of life for those folks back then. I think it even could be said that societies throughout history, including the ancient Jews, have performed human sacrifice for various reasons. I wasn't there. So I don't know exactly how it all went down, but the guy who is said to be the father of three of the world's major religions was getting ready to sacrifice his own son to prove his faith to somebody he thought was God until he was stopped and provided with an animal sacrifice. I've wondered what I would have done if I was him. Even now societies perform human sacrifice to preserve the welfare of society. It's a spooky thing to think about doing it to your own kid though, but I think that was a shadow of what was to come with Jesus.
I believe she lived as a virgin in the service of the Lord, just as littl Samuel was brought to the temple by his Mother for the service of the
Lord.
It was just a test for Abraham.[God does not tempt with evil in fact He had a ram in a bush ready as a substitute for sacrifice]
Yeah, verse 31 doesn't seem specific as to what kind of "sacrifice" she was. It probably just bummed him out that she wasn't going to give him any grandkids.
"then it will occur, whatever comes forth from the doors of my house, coming forth to meet me at my return in peace from the sons of Ammon, it will become Yahweh's, and I will offer it up as an ascent offering." (Judges 11:31)
It was definitely a "test" for old Abe, and, as I said, he was provided with an animal instead. I still wonder what I would have done in his shoes. I guess you'd have to figure it really was God talking to you if he gave you the kid in your old age with a wife who was supposed to be too old to have one.
well..if someone did that nowdays..and I heard it on the news...I wouldn't have to think too hard..to come to the conclusion..
that it must have been satan transforming himself into an angel of light[the Lord]
Jepthath certainly learned not to be rash with his tongne in making a vow. Satan/sin always puts us to death by the commandment
of God,which is good...to show how exceedingly sinful it is[bent on murder/destroying,lying, causing loss.]

Exactly !!
It is easier to lay in your bed [sin] and ask others to help you out for years or take up your bed and WALK[ IN THE SPIRIT ] Jesus asks,,,
Do you want to get well ? John 5
So she lived like a nun.
Well, Jephthah's daughter seemed to be mourning her virginity, not her life. So I think Sheila's right about that. I'm a born again virgin in the service of the Lord, but I don't go to temple on Saturday with the rest of the folks around here because I think my crazy old bod is the temple.

So she lived like a nun.
Hi Joanna , I was thinking ,more like a eunuch celibate, or otherwise not inclined to marry and procreate. I would say her daddy's vow made him under law liable to hold to it .
And she being innocent paid the price .
Matt 19 For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and
there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others--and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven.
The one who can accept this should accept it." Not sure what the others would say, its in Judges 11
and How would a dad make his daughter a virgin for all her life
I think you're both right because nuns are basically female eunuchs figuratively speaking, and the male version of a virgin is a celibate guy, or a eunuch figuratively speaking, usually done by both genders as a spiritual choice.
:cloud9: They had arranged marriages in those days. All the father had to do was not arrange a marriage for her and she was to remain a virgin/maiden all of her life. :Chinscratch:
To be a eunuch for the kingdom, is to commit to celibacy for the sake of service. No operation involved. No homosexuality. Just commitment.
Thank you .... Tom ,
Cardinal , the ancient custom to betroth
and John ...EW
That makes sense to me now :friendstu:
I know they also castrated the males for the kings service back in the day
I've read that male humans have been denutted so they won't breed with the females in the harems who they're guarding. Geldings and steers have had the same procedure. As has been said, I think Jesus was referring to "eunuchs" who simply choose to be celibate to optimize the spiritual experience which is what I think is maybe what Origen did despite the rumor that he took it literally. I've learned from experience that both marriage and celibacy are blessings in their own ways.
A priest died and went to heaven. There, he is greeted by a reception committee. After having a whirlwind tour of heaven, he is told he can enjoy any of heaven's available recreations.
The priest decided he wanted to read all of the ancient original texts of the Holy Scriptures to understand their true literary meaning. So he first learned all the languages necessary to accomplish this: Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek and Latin. After becoming a linguistic master, he went to the heavenly Temple of Knowledge and began to scrutinize the original Biblical texts.
All of a sudden, the priest could be heard crying out loud in the Temple. Angels quickly came to help him, only to find the priest huddled in a corner, crying and muttering to himself, "An 'R'! They left out an 'R'."
One of the angels comforted the priest and asked him what the problem was. After collecting his wits, the priest sobs again, "It's the letter 'R' ... the word was supposed to be CELEBRATE!"
