That's a (not so) hidden reference to the Temple. The actual building which had a constant tiny 'river' flowing out of the Holy of Holies. (God's throne) It's Ezekiel's tiny stream that becomes a huge river. http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ezekiel+47&version=NIV

Gen 1:2 (AMP)
The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters. to
Rev 22:17 (AMP)
The Spirit and the bride, say, Come! Let everyone come who is thirsty [who is painfully conscious of his need of those things by which the soul is refreshed, supported, and strengthened]; and whoever [earnestly] desires to do it, let him come, take, appropriate, and drink the water of Life without cost.Physical realities (The law instructing, the prophets pointing to) reveal the great spiritual TRUTH: Jesus Christ-- Savior, Lord, King of kings of ALL men.

SEEKING FOR LIVING SPRING Appleton, 1848
Thirsting for a living spring
Seeking for a higher home,
Resting where our souls must cling,
Trusting, hoping, Lord, we come.
Glorious hope our spirit fill,
When we feel that Thou art near:
Father! then our fears are still,
Then the soul's bright end is clear.
Life's hard conflict we would win,
Read the meaning of life's frown;
Change the thorn-bound wreath of sin
For the spirit's starry crown.
Make us beautiful within
By Thy Spirit's holy light:
Guard us when our faith burns dim,
FATHER OF ALL LOVE :HeartThrob: and might!
amen,
interesting aside; I just read recently about Ezekiel's temple...andthat the New Jerusalem's
measurements were 1000 times it's size.....Icome across it while researching onlittle Benjamin
and the little one shall become a 1000.

re: interesting aside
Indeed! Thanks Sheila, for my ongoing studies, this is more than interesting...I am looking at "little ones" because I truly believe that when Jesus refers to "little ones" (physical) He's teaching/revealing a spiritual truth.
You ENCOURAGE me to continue to read/meditate/search/believe the scriptures...
He's had melooking intothat the last few days,Irene...aswellas the parableof the mustard seed/

I'm very organizedEverything is in One Big Pile
