An analogy

Reading the Psalms this morning, I couldn't help but think that God's relationship with Israel, is not only an analogy of His relationship with all of His people, but, one
that reaffirms His desire to remain with us, past this earthly dwelling, and to follow us and love us, beyond the grave.

So very many examples....

Psalm 130:5-8

5 I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,
    and in his word I put my hope.
6 I wait for the Lord
    more than watchmen wait for the morning,
    more than watchmen wait for the morning.
7 Israel, put your hope in the Lord,
    for with the Lord is unfailing love
    and with him is full redemption.
8 He himself will redeem Israel
    from all their sins.

The Psalms are so full of His promises to love us forever.

Psalm 136 keeps repeating, His Love endures forever.

It is sometimes hard to wait for God. I admire truly patient people that wait and stand on guard and do not get afraid or distracted or tired. I have sometimes, rarely, been able to wait for God but it was not so easy. Sometimes trust in God seems easy. You just trust him and the emotions play along and your being can dwell in real hope. But sometimes hope is like an empty word and despair sets in. At such moments I need a heavy dose of cross and resurrection. The cross is not only for our sins, it is also for our ailments. And mental ailments are common. Life on earth is such that it can sometimes be like endless suffering. Things just do not seem to change much. But also, sometimes things change drastically in the twinkling of an eye, or like when the morning comes after the night. God does NOT leave us alone.

  The Psalms is very comforting  for sure .

  They sure can heal the broken hearted , giving hope  to our souls/lives  .


David saw such corruption in his   natural life and it troubled him greatly ,

He always looked to the Lord for his  hope &  peace  and strength to endure .

The Psalms are so full of His promises to love us forever.

Part of our learning, a huge part, is seeing what love is really all about.
Many attempt to love, but are not even close to His true love.
One of those key statement about the outcome of love is in 1 John.

1 John 3;14 " We KNOW that we have passed from death to life because we love the brothers.
                   Whoever does not love remains in the realm of death."

That is SO beautiful! The psalms are so beautiful!

Just yesterday (?) I read a topic title that says 'why isn't UR more pronounced in the Bible?'

"His love endures forever." ....!

A perfect example of UR prominent and straight out in the Bible.. but it goes so missed! :faint:
