I'm sure this has been gone into many times.. but! ..it's so good! :gsmile:
Matthew 25:46 - about the sheep on the right and goats on the left.. the verse is -
"These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." --- Based much more closely on the word for word interlinear - Young's Literal Translation -
"And these shall go away to punishment age-during, but the righteous to life age-during."
And the word "punishment" is translated, as we know, from the Greek word "kolasis" (G#2851) which word is "correction". So a correction on the verse - "These shall go away into age-during correction".
For 'the goats' collective? (always butting? :laughing7: which ALL have been) NOT 'hell'! But a duration (age?) of correction. (Collective? Lev.23:27-29)
PS, I love the way the contemporary English Version says "By now much time had passed, and the voyage had already become dangerous because it was after the Fast.." - Acts 27:9
The CEV says it like this, "By now we had already lost a lot of time, and sailing was no longer safe. In fact, even the Great Day of Forgiveness was past.." ..in the Fall before they got shipwrecked, day of atonement..

The greek word "aion/aionios" comes from the Hebrew word "olam". Which word still today refers to the "world to come" or the "age to come".
That is why in Hebrews 1 and a couple other places "aion" is translated "world" instead of "forever" or "everlasting".
To this day, in Hebrew, "olam habah" refers to the blessed age/world to come. "olam haze" refers to "this present evil age/world". "Tikkun olam" means "repairing the world".
So matthew 25 could also be read, "the punishment of the world/age to come", and "the life of the world/age to come"- which we know does not last forever, since Paul said(Ephesians 2) there are "ages to come" and in Eph 3:21 spoke of "to all generations of the age of the ages"(world without end-KJV) aionios tau aionon.
"Israel shall be saved by Jehovah with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded, unto( the ages of ages. Darby) (world without end KJV) (owlam owlamim) Isaiah 45:17 (Great verse to go with "so all Israel shall be saved" BTW)
