First of all, if ED were to be true, why did Paul say death will be destroyed and that the sting of death and Sheol will be nothing? If people will die permanently, then Death will be victorious, not Christ.
All men will come to to knowledge of the truth, they will all bow and confess that Jesus is Lord, and anyone who believes in Jesus will have eonian life. Crystal clear. :2c:
Sure, it's crystal clear to us - but most folks never put it together, never connect the dots.
We were just discussing it a little bit ago on this thread: http://tentmaker.org/forum/discussions-on-universal-salvation/the-last-enemy-11443/ (http://tentmaker.org/forum/discussions-on-universal-salvation/the-last-enemy-11443/)

That's because most people never
really study the scriptures. They get all the knowledge they get from Sunday school teachers, the Sunday pulpit message, and daily devotion books (and fewer still even have daily devotions). Of course they don't connect the dots - they can't. Most don't even know there
are dots to connect. :laughing7: They think everything is fine with their life because they go to church. They have a form of Godliness, but deny his power. They think they are following the Christ, but they are only following materialism and self-will. That defines a significant portion of the "church" today. If I had to guess at the percentage of church people who are thus defined - I would say 90%. :sigh: Gees, I hope that doesn't sound judgmental :footmouth: - I don't mean it that way.
