This way is more matter of fact, The Savior of the world is a title, and thats what Yahshua means Yah saves.

to be can be used to explain away the matter of factness that He IS the savior of the world, as in "He wanted to be but, but not everyone accepts Him, so" (ET thought process)

To be honest "to be" isn't a bad translation imo.
If on believes things like "I I do all my desire", "my counsil shall stand", "not a word returns to my mouth invain" or similar then it's clear the verse is not about chance.
I think most denominations don't deny that.
They just try to add some context by linking that verse to other verses that in their opion limit the extend of that verse.
All=some, World=a few believers from all over the world, etc

I don't believe its a bad translation either, I just found it interesting, and anytime I see italics now, I try and read the sentence without them, or by inserting other words in there to see how the force of the sentence changes.
The italics system of KJV is good. Ok it allows for bias but without the italics it would be very hard to read for many people.
More problematic is that there should be more italics in KJV.
