1 Corinthians 6:9 " You know that unrighteous persons will not inherit the kingdom Of God, do you not? Notice this verse states that the unrighteous "WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD". Notice there is no mention of aionios purification.. then they can inherit the kingdom. The Scripture is very crystal clear that the unrighteous WILL NOT INHERIT HEAVEN. No purification process, no second chances to inherit the kingdom. Nada allowed in this age or any age. Period.

Yes, those character traits will not inherit the kingdom, but the people who have that trait right now will not have that trait when they inherit it.
As that is what Jesus drawing all men to himself does, that is conversion does, that is what correction does, that is what chastisement does and that is what reconcilation does and that is what God being ALL in ALL means.

Your trying mask over what I wrote. Indeed an unrighteous person will not inherit the kingdom and I have not stated that they will, at any time. But these verses DO NOT prevent conversion from happening at any time before or after death.
There is absolutely nothing in that passage that says this must happen before we die, those are your words added to bias the passage.

You can respond however you like to my understanding that there is no verse specifically written as you expect. If it actually was that scripturally simple then there would actually be no room for interpretational differences.
With that said, the burden of proof is on you to produce the scriptures giving the same specific clarity you expect of me. You know you can't which is why you try to place the burden on me.
I do not believe your point of view the God and our path of correction to righteousness is limited by our death. I find no scripture so clear as to make that limitation without some obscure inference through intepretational bias.

Inheritance of the Kingdom isn't the equivalent of going to heaven, but of ruling/reigning with Christ in this life per Romans 5:17. Amplified Bible defines the Kingdom as "God's ways of doing and being right." I've even heard Creflo Dollar, Jr. rightly define this passage and he's not UR -- YET :Sparkletooth:

Card, contrary to what Chosen says, IMO, he or she is here for anything but to study and learn.

What about those who do not believe? Wouldn't they repent and believe if they were given a second chance? The answer is no, they would not because their hearts are not changed simply because they die. Their hearts and minds "are at enmity" against God and won't accept Him even when they see Him face to face. This is evidenced clearly in the story of the rich man and Lazarus in Luke 16:19-31. If ever someone should have repented when given a second chance to see clearly the truth, it was the rich man. But although he was in torment in hell, he only asked that Abraham send Lazarus back to earth to warn his brothers so they didn't have to suffer the same fate. There was no repentance in his heart, only regret for where he found himself. Abraham's answer says it all: "And he said to him, If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded, even though one rose from the dead" (Luke 16:31). Here we see that the witness of the Scriptures is sufficient for salvation for those who believe it, and no other revelation will bring about salvation to those who do not. No second, third or fourth chances would be enough to turn the heart of stone into a heart of flesh.

The number of times is irrelevant, God operates by certainty, so whether it was 1 time, 2 billion, or whether it is before or after death is insignificant to the certainty of our salvation.

Just a few thoughts on your OP:
First, I absolutely believe the Corinthians verse. However, we have to have a larger understanding of what the "kingdom" is.
It's here, it's now, and it is fully in place and functioning at this time, and the folks who are walking in the behaviors that Paul listed will not be a part of the kingdom now. They forfeit love, peace, joy in the Holy spirit, protection, provision, etc., all of which are benefits to believers here and now, not someday in the future when we cease to exist. That's why we preach the gospel, so that people will believe here and now and have access to the benefits provided to believers by God.
Second, you don't get an "inheritance" when you die, but when someone else dies and leaves it for you. Jesus died for ALL mankind, drew them to Himself, and eventually all will see the power of God and have it revealed to them that they too were there at the cross in Christ.

I think of matt 11.21Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida ! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
Sounds like if these guys had a second 'chance' they would have repented. But of course God is not a God of chances so I think they will have their day in court and God will bring them around in some manner.

When you were at enmity with God, being by nature a child of wrath, was it YOU who changed your own heart, or was it a work of God? If it was a work of God, then there is no room for boasting. In the same way that a leopard cannot change his spots, nor can we add one cubit to our stature, in that same way, it is not in our power to change our evil hearts. God does that. His essence of love infuses itself into us by His Spirit. Not by might nor by power but by His Spirit. As for seeing God face to face, the scriptures say that when we SEE HIM, WE SHALL BE LIKE HIM. The reason individuals are NOT LIKE GOD is simply because they have not seen Him YET. To the extent that we can see God in truth, we are changed into his image. Think of God as a mirror. Now when a person who is not of sound mind looks into a mirror (such as someone with anorexia -- they cannot see what is really there). They have a distorted image of truth.

I know you are busy, cog but just wondered about your thoughts on the above.
You are falling way behind in responses but you are quite a trooper for hanging in for as long as you did. I hope your goals were accomplished........you know, the paper you had to write or the people you needed to impress or whatever.
I think you furthered the Kingdom with all your questions. You generated enough words to write a book. I wished you could have been a bit more honest and open with us but that is just my thought, not a judgment, I leave the judging to the Lord of the elect.
