Title: What would you think..?
Post by: whyiloveitaly.com on January 01, 2008, 07:02:32 PM
Happy New Year to all!

So.. the question is:
What would you think if you turned on the tv or radio one day and heard news of someone healing people right and left, teaching the people to love God and their neighbor, and talking about being a 'Son of God?'

:cloud9: 1) I'd be praising God, and 2) I'd be crying because I obviously missed Him (for myself).....

I'd pray in the Spirit and see what He thought.   :girlheart:

I would think that sure sounds like Jesus. But I would be careful about it.  I would keep praying and waiting on the Lord as always until I know the truth about the matter.
Interesting question.  Although I believe that when Jesus comes back the next time, it will be "to receive us unto himself, so that where he is,  we may be there also".  I can't wait!

:cloud9: That's true, but I think we all took it as one the finishing work was COMPLETELY done in. Or at least, that's the way I took it......

I'd take my war buddy with no legs and get two plane tickets to wherever this guy was.  Then I'd video tape Him restoring my friend's legs and I would apologize for all my unbelief and thank Him for all the Grace He has given me, then I'd get the next ticket to the place where they run the Website:  "Why Won't God Heal Amputees" and I'd upload my video and stand outside with my friend and say to passersby, "How Do you Like My Jesus Now!"

That would be great – just to do it once!

Grace & Peace, John (the other) :HeartThrob:

What I like about this is, its not a "religious" response. There is no fear preventing the person from responding totally. Like the people who came to Jesus two thousand years ago to be helped. The Lord just showed me that my response to the question posed here was "religious"! :mshock:

Every day we are experiencing more freedom from religion- aren't we, Fullarmor?
Rejoice that He's given you eyes to see!   :boogie:

Amanda:
Maybe somebody could be putting together a collection of miracles that have occurred in recent decades...!
I was blessed to read some of Cardinal's posts on the Sovreignity thread about deliverance from cancer..

Anyways, my thought is:
if we live by the Word, will we miss the Spirit? (The Jews did!) Jesus said that man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceeds from the mouth of God.  I believe that means today.
Many Christians don't believe in Sonship. If other Sons were manifested today, I suppose they would be put to death by some of these leading religious ("Christian") circles..

:cloud9: The answer to that question is YES! When the disciples were in the boat, it was said that if they had not seen Him He would have passed them by. If you know the spiritual meaning of that whole scene it is enough to put the fear (reverential) of God in you. The boat/carnal nature of the flesh and the carnal mind, ie. their Sodom and Gomorrah. The water = the waters below the firmament/letter of the Word.

Did you ever wonder why after all they had seen Him do, they were freaked out and thought He was a ghost? It was because they knew He had broken the law/letter, the penalty for which was death. They thought it had finally caught up with Him. They didn't all know yet Who it was that was speaking to them, ie. He only spoke what He heard the Father speak.

His ministry was ALL walking ABOVE the waters below the firmament, ie. walking above the letter Word. The firmament is heaven/Spirit, He came to them walking in the Spirit, while still in the body, walking in the proceeding Word of life that came from the Father's mouth. The proceeding Word of life that comes from the Father's mouth, which is SPIRIT, by which we live, or have the life of the Spirit. Which is why the wind/storm was IMMEDIATELY contrary to them, because Satan came IMMEDIATELY to steal the Word that is SPIRIT, from their hearts.

But when the Word/Spirit was received into their "boat", immediately they were on the OTHER SIDE. When we receive a proceeding Word of life and walk in it, that part of our flesh and carnal mind that the Word came to "kill" is dealt with, ie. we are translated out the kingdom of darkness (what that portion ruled over) and into the kingdom of light = walking in the Spirit, walking WITH HIM, walking above the letter/waters below the firmament.

And notice that this scene happened right after He perceived they were going to come and make Him (the flesh of Him) King by force. The scripture about hereafter we'll not know Him after the flesh, but after the Spirit, was walked out for us, on the water.

Leaving the churches was a proceeding word of life for most of us, even though it looked like we were "lawless" to all those on the inside. All proceeding words of life are that which APPEARS to be lawlessness, because it is what frees us from the lust of the eyes and the lust of the flesh. It doesn't look good to the lust of the eyes, and it doesn't feel good to the lust of the flesh to be thought of as lawless; it's not pleasant. Eve thought the fruit looked pleasant; Daniel said he would eat no pleasant bread/Word. Blessings to all....

Cardinal:
Thanks for your input! What a blessing!
What you have to say is often different than what many others on these boards write. And I believe God has given you a particular anointing regarding His word. I'd love to hear more! Any suggestions?

Cardinal,

You know, I never thought of that before, this one I must remember. Thanks.  :girlheart:
