Title: we are the lake of fire!?
Post by: claypot on March 23, 2019, 01:52:46 PM
Something within me is telling me that believers are the lake of fire. Believers are a little flock and when taken as a whole are a lake. Believers are sons and daughters of our God who is a consuming fire which makes believers little consuming fires. Put believers all together and they make up a lake, a small body of water, but this body body of water is more of a body of little consuming fires that leads to the final death of anything not life thus the second/final death.

Has this thought ever been discussed on this forum? If so can i get some links?

When Jesus told the guy to go wash in the pool of siloam jn 9.7 the man was washed/cured. Being cast into the lake of fire, given over to believers, will be an excrutiating ordeal where there will be much crying and torment because being loved with a love that rips a heart of stone out and replaces it with a heart of flesh can be a tough road.

Baptism via immersion also comes to mind. Being submerged into a 'lake' and then coming up clean is what I am seeing is the purpose of the lake of fire.

Can you imagine an unbeliever being cast into a 'lake' of believers who are pure and totally motivated to love like love has never been expressed before?

just thinking out loud here.

Dear Claypot: When you get an opportunity and some time, explore what theion is in koine and in what theion is rooted.  Our God is consuming fire, and our God is the Lake of Fire & Divinity.

Brimstone= theion

Theion rooted in Theos

i have studied that and i am a student of George McDonald.

I believe the lake of fire is made up of our God who is a consuming fire and we, as His children, are also made up of Him so when you put us all together we make up a 'lake' of fire????

I do believe the nature of Gods holiness  is   the consuming fire   and when Baptised   in Holy Spirit & fire  ,being dipped in this

starts   within us whom do believe  .  and like the ripple effect it does begin to effect others .

I thought of Peters    testimony  about how judgement begins in the house of God    being in our lives    and to become pure as Christ is pure  and how  we share with others the truth and if the refuse  ,  just like Jesus going to the town to  heal and restore  and they  refused him  , and James and john   being called the sons of thunder  ,  by Jesus and telling them   they did  not know what manner of spirit they were of  .    makes me think of two laws at work in our members  life and death ...

1 Peter 4:17 The Passion Translation (TPT)
17 For the time is ripe for judgment to begin in God's own household. And if it starts with us, what will be the fate of those who refuse to obey the gospel of God?

Than we have  this chapter explaining  pretty clearly  , I really like the passion  version    , seems the same Fire on earth Jesus come to bring during His own baptism    will most definitely apply to those of  same nature  that follow  with Him      , I only see it bad for the carnal
natured and great things for the spiritually   natured   , rightly dividing the WORD OF TRUTH ... judging in   holy righteousness
  which is excellent  .

Can you imagine unbelievers being thrown or cast into a world of believers? It will be an amazing experience for believers and an amazingly rough experience for non believers.

I cannot imagine a better way to start our post human experience than to use the fire of God within us to draw untold billions of people to Him via Jesus Christ.

That's why I'm liking what I am seeing about believers all together being as a lake of fire that unbelievers are cast into! What better analogy of God working in us to will and to do of His good pleasure?!

Exactly !   :HeartThrob:

If the   first law was to expose sin  and make it utterly sinful  , we know than that   the heart of the  earth   was death and the grave , Jesus come to defeat  death and the works of satan [lie ]  by the cross  , HE become both the Lord of  the dead and living   able to    resurrect  the dead at any time     right ...  I have always thought this life was the shadow  and hell/death   VOID  of the Spirit of Life till      we know what   sin is  , Paul said I was alive without the law  once and when it come I DIED   convicting  us of sin nature    , but   when  Jesus come   to Him on the road to Damascus    to  chasten    him
showing him the error  of  using  that law to kill and destroy others  and never see it   applying to himself   , that was the conversion  to me      and changing of the minds  ,  now    it is to comfort those  experiencing the same  things in  life and death by the forgiveness of sins  though LOVE    and obedience
look at how obedience under JESUS authority    is   gathering up    and changing  hearts on a regular  and daily    basis by  grace abounding the more   on earth as it is in heaven   :dsunny:

I believe God is a consuming/purifying fire and agree so His children are too.

But I also believe the two mentions of LOF line up with 2 Peter 3:10-13  - and Zechariah 14 -

10But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.-- Jesus' visible return to Earth, at Armageddon over all that oil, plus man's modern capabilities of splitting the atom, etc. a lof Zech.14; Is.2

11Since all these things - man's kingdoms - are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! 13But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. -- when God "makes ALL things new.. a new heavens and new earth" - the "all in all" event of 1 Cor.15:27,28(22-28!)

I believe also believers - baptized in water and fire of God's Holy Spirit will serve during "the millennium" (1000yrs) and during "the judgment" (500yrs - after the pattern of the Fall holy days --> Leviticus 23 - which if correct, makes 'Day' of Judgment to be Day of Atonement for all those of the "2nd resurrection" of Rev.20 - of all thos not (yet) saved before they died.

Jesus said a day comes when all in the tombs will hear His voice and will rise, some to the resurrection of life [at His visible return prophesied so much] and some to the resurrection of judgment/discernment. [The description in Lev.23 of DOA aligns.. like Paul said such of the OT were a type and representation of the real. (doa for the initially doa! )

MG, someone else mentione, have you noticed there is only one day of the Lord?
Title: Re: we are the lake of fire!?
Post by: marie glen on March 23, 2019, 09:02:37 PM
 'Scratching head' lol..

..one day of the Lord, when He returns - i could quote the many verses.. maybe I'll add some..

..and one day of God - the vivication of all things.. Rev. 21, when God makes all things new.

Remember? Like 1 Cor.15:22-28 :

22For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive. 23But each in his own order: 1 Christ the first fruits, after 2 that those who are Christ's at His coming, 24then 3comes the end, when He hands over the kingdom to God the Father, when He/Jesus has abolished all rule and all authority and power. 25For He must reign until He has put all His enemies under His feet. 26The last enemy that will be abolished is death. 27For HE HAS PUT ALL THINGS IN SUBJECTION UNDER HIS FEET. But when He says, "All things are put in subjection," it is evident that He is excepted who put all things in subjection to Him. 28When all things are subjected to Him, then the Son Himself also will be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him, so that God may be all in all.

Doesn't that read that way?

Like all died (in Adam) - in the same way,

all will live (in Jesus) -- But , each in their own order.. at their own time.. first Jesus, the firstborn, forever preeminant.

"then those that are His, at His coming.

..so of the "all" so far, there is some.    ...I think it's worldly universalism which believes ppl are automatically saved without repenting or being born again, but I think God is using the process to drive home all of His truth.. if it was automatic why not have all be born that way to begin? but maybe i'm straying here..

So, logically, the rest of the "all" occurs at number 3.. when Jesus hands the kingdom/realm to the Father.. so that God shall be "all in all".. surely must be the same as Rev.21:1-5?

Day of the Lord - His return (visible)
Day of God - when "all" are made new and God now is literally "all in all". No more death, suffering, or missing the mark..

Between the two? the millennium and the judgment, imo, 2 ages

     :Peace2:

P.S. - there's also this,

2 Peter 3:10-13 - the two.. day of the Lord (Jesus) and day of God, the Father

10But the day of the Lord  --- will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.

the interlinear w/ word #s - https://biblehub.com/interlinear/2_peter/3-10.htm
"Lord" is "G2962" - kurios - lord, master, sir

11Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,

12looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat!

the interlinear - https://biblehub.com/interlinear/2_peter/3-12.htm
"God" is "G2316" - theos - God

13But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

 Believers as part of the LOF. There are seven lamps of fire, torches, in front of God's throne, in Revelation, that Jesus walks among.. "which are the 7 churches"

As I'm thinking the torches of God's sevenfold Spirit in chapter 4 are basically the same as the seven lampstands Jesus is walking among in chapter 1..?

In chapter 15, there is what looks like a glass sea mixed with fire.. and believers are standing on it..

So interesting.. all, the depths..

P.S. - since the blood of the lamb is said to be what cleanses us (the laver?) is ultimately the LOF his blood/life? A fiery pure life force.. And what happens when you split an atom, the building block of matter?

Is the Mercy Seat His throne? I mean I would think He would have one seat. That it's symbolic of where He most resides (?)

His throne sits above the crystal lake (Rev.4) and above the fiery lake (Rev.5).

How is it, do you think, that when Jesus talked about "when the Son of man returns", both unbelievers and negligent believers will have part in the lake which burns with fire? P.S. - and our works can be burned up..

{I am shocked - call me nuts - to think that perhaps the LOF is not afterlife at all. (Except for the total vivification of all things in the "all in all" event of Rev.21:1-5? And I'm not so sure 'afterlife' is the right word for that..)

I  believe the LOF is now as well ...... it is GODS PRESENCE ... to me   and part of Gods amazing grace
think of  two  natures    one is  Light and Life though the fire of Gods consuming the old nature  [ carnal ] enemy agaisnt the Spirit   to become Spiritual  sons of God  growing in truth and grace ..

Jesus baptism  /cross   was to   die to the world    and pour out  the HOLY Spirit   which  by nature , purifies and cleanses us of all unrighteousness  as it   set the world on fire  , we too take up our cross  and follow  in the same manner  , same gifts   though Jesus Christ  come though  His own   born again  , new creatures in Christ  as the mercy seat   is from ABOVE [HEAVEN ]  Jesus is the connection and the   way to the FATHER S THRONE OF GRACE .
Being HIS PRESENCE  working in and   being   manifested though you  a vessel of honor   for the Fathers use  , JESUS IS THE PRIME and excellent  example  of  everything  revealed   openly   that was hidden from all the ages

what was written   was only  for the carnal mind   to twist and bring death and hell etc....
When we hear Jesus voice speaking though these scriptures  and LIFE  begins a new  , we hear His voice and Live and are alive to God as  restored  , adopted  and  that seed of Life is  raising up the son of God  in power in you the Christ in you the hope of glory ...  a LIVING WORD    and with the excellence of the Fathers Spirit of fire  and purity   and holiness

a two edged SWORD  / Word .      till  the flesh and blood is no more  . mortal and corruptible  body of death is no more   IN POWER over us [no more stock or faith in self ] , but the LIVING  breathing  Holy Spirit of Life  is  moving in power .
This is how you will be like Him , the least you have done unto one of these you have done unto ME , Knowing Him and  being  a part of His new   greater works  , the Christ  in you  or even the grace in you  , greater His He that is in you than in the world , less   and less world and  more JESUS!  truth and grace to grow up into !  :dsunny:

like I started saying, I am seeing that those who have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ here and now are that lake of fire. We are, for lack of better words, small particles of the Consuming Fire who we call Father.

I like the fact that the lake of fire is called a lake. Not an ocean or sea. Just a small body of water. Fits with Scripture. Believers are a small flock but our size (a lake) doesn't matter a bit when made up of God Himself!

I also like to think of our future roles. Now most of us love to share the knowledge and love of our Lord and His Father and we do. I see in the state we are heading to that we call death is really life abundantly and we will be working with billions of unbelievers. God will be using us in ways He isn't doing now and it will be amazing for His glory, our fulfillment and the illuminating of all who are in darkness.

Jesus came to seek and save that which is lost. lk19.10 He is God (Is 9.6), God is love (1john4.7) and love never fails(1cor13.8)!

Amen ,  Like peter proclaimed ,  Judgement starts in the house of GOD   !     Jesus  had a righteous anger over His Fathers house becoming a den of thieves and robber spirits   !

But I do believe now is the time to shine forth like the SON /SUN  and not allow the evil to rule over us nor allow the evil  in others to  rob God of HIS GLORY in the earth either  .
what if being on fire for GOD    IS  HIS CHOSEN ONES now fixing to   do the greater works than His  original  and first appearance  in the earth as a human being ?

luke warm does not cut it ...   Jesus would  rather we  become hot or cold     , not lukewarm  he spews us out of His mouth

and that in turn becomes like the cold and  dead  once  again ...  but a smouldering  wick He will not put out   .

just some thoughts about  the fire of God  burning in our hearts when the scriptures are opened  up to us , we have to than walk it out in the Spirit of Life   , it becomes a LIVING WORD in power  and glory to God   the standard and  banner  in the earth  as it is in heaven ..

I have personally  come to despise evil   and the   slaves to bondage ,  it brings such misery  to those whom suffer   because of it ,    I know we have to call upon the name of the LORD  in every circumstance  , the prayers and supplications  for the good to  come and light to Shine  forth  out of the darkness into HIS  GLORIOUS LIGHT    than evil has no place to hide ....  and no more darkness  to overcome us , the day of the LORD IS SALVATION  TO THE BELIEVERS IN GODS POWER  to rule and reign  supreme .  taking every thought captive to CHRIST  HE WILL DESTROY  IT ...

JESUS SAID,,,,,,,,for He will finish the work and cut it short in righteousness, because the LORD will make a short work upon the earth."  because the devil knows his time is short ...  rev 12 ;12 Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you in great wrath, knowing that . He is full of rage, because he knows that his time is short.
it is a battle  of death to those  whom  the world has a hold of   , remember  JESUS  being sent to the wilderness  by   the Holy Spirit  to be tempted  ? we  too are sent in the same manner   to be tempted by satan the empty lies     but JESUS  PROCLAIMED  THE POWER OVER SATAN  BY  THE WORD OF GOD   same  for us   and dying on the cross makes us dead to the world and ALIVE TO GOD  no more temptation when the world is  dead  to us  and we crave the  good things of God  in  the  LORD ALWAYS  and want that for everyone , to know this great LOVE OF GOD !!

Amen, I believe that too. ..And I believe, more and more, there is NOT a literal lake of fire anyone or angel is tossed to, except the inner one AND the one I believe is at Armageddon; and at the All in all event (tho there is one more mention when satan is let loose from the pit of darkness "after the 1000 years" makes war one more time..)

And that God's seat and throne shown as above the fiery lake, which is the sense I get at Rev.15, means even though men will experience that Lake of fire (I believe at Armageddon) His grace will carry them through.. (like it does even now with those suffering saints in the world..)

:Chinscratch: I see all of we UR believers beliefs somewhat like a Picasso painting.. but I'm always looking for the beautiful Landscape of the overall picture.. for the sake of passing on to others. A clear, simple, beautiful landscape.. (That says it all in one very short paragraph! Lol)

Though I guess - Summary - All will be like Jesus.

I too believe  it is clear in Revelations    , John is describing the Day of the Lord   , we see though the scriptures many a day of the Lord  events that is leading up to the     ending  or finale  , everything is open   as the mystery  is revealed of the Lord Jesus Christ   seeing Him as HE IS ....

I agree. But I don't think it will be in a hades or afterlife, but after resurrection.. helping teach survivors during "the millennium" and all those who rise just prior to "the judgment" or at the judgment, teaching them during the judgment, which I believe is an age - - because of the pattern of the Fall holy days (of Lev. 23) because His first advent followed the Spring pattern.. And I believe His 2nd advent is from the Trumpets/or maybe from the 7th trumpet of Rev and His visible return, to when He hands the kingdom over to the Father, and the Father makes all things new - 2 Peter 3:12,13; Rev. 21:1-5; 1 Cor.15:27,28 (or 22-28)

John 4  34Jesus explained, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work. 35Do you not say, 'There are still four months until the harvest'? I tell you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are ripe for harvest.

36 Already the reaper draws his wages and gathers a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may rejoice together....    the reapers are the angels/messengers   the ones before us  correct ?

Jesus  said this  before His  baptism of the cross   as a  long ago Prophecy   by the Spirit .
and we know that  Jesus was hidden   as the same Rock   of salvation  Moses struck twice  back in his day .
Each man has his own day of the Lord  to me , Abraham's day   was darkness and thick gloom   and terror , yet Abram / Abraham was glad  to see Him  in his day ...

We now Know Jesus was and is and will be  , because HE is the resurrection   and the life Always .and the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world [old world from the beginning ]  and the new world was when He come to make everything new , regenerated , regrowth ,bring into renewed existence; generate again.[ending ]  before turning it all over to the Father , this day of the Lord to me is the Sabbath Day and rest [HOLY DAY]    7th  and finishing the works  in     the last day as Martha spoke of believing in   the Messiah   and spoke of her brother Lazarus  , JESUS did raise up  Lazarus  as proof or fruit /works of Gods glory  to them in their day  and said ... 23"Your brother will rise again," Jesus told her.

24Martha replied, "I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day."

25Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me will live, even though he dies. 26And everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?"

some will taste death when they see Him as the man of sin is exposed by Christ coming to them   and some  will never taste death because He tasted death for every man whom believes in Him already and have passed from death to life already in the here and now , the way I can understand the scriptures .  Paul speaks of himself  being alive and remaining  in  1Thess 5

Just as we have learned and been taught  of the Holy Spirit everyone has been given   a life in Adam   and a day  [dead and raised to life in Christ or repurposed , regenerated ]

So shall everyone have a new Life  and Day in Christ  , each in their own order  , or as they are called   to rise in my own opinion .
I do not think it is easy to describe our faith  in the LORD  Jesus Christ to one another ,     we can and do stumble  one another over the Truth at times .
My poor hubby  , he has not even began to embrace the  salvation of all yet , even after all these years . :sigh:

and we have some good talks and some  hindering ones too . I have always said  this and believe it still to this very day .

I do not know how  God will save everyone  , but His works are perfect   and I just know He will , Because  He is God  and salvation is of God  and not  of mankind .  and everyone will see the glory of GOD  ONE DAY .  for some it is To Day  and are resting in that hope  and keeping it alive in Christ .

Dear Rose: Your poor hubby is not alone. The entire Realm of Abba requires an intervention from Above. He draws each one in His time. We are all on different stages of a journey whose beginning and ending is God.

So what do you all think? In extremely simple terms, are believers the lake of fire? Yes or no and why?
Title: Re: we are the lake of fire!?
Post by: marie glen on March 28, 2019, 02:56:55 AM
I think yes, but likely limited now, but much more so during the millennium on earth with survivors of man's last war (2 Peter 3:10,11) and during the judgment age following.. then is a lake of fire when the Father makes all things new (2 Peter 3:11,12).

As I figure, why can't it be both.. a spiritual fire and also the massive energy of the split atom man playing God messes with? makes war with.. There's more than one description like such an event in the bible.

The only reason I mention it, is I no longer believe in an afterlife lake of fire, nor punishment other than the very real self inflicted and fiery punishments of regrets and remorse. Imagine being Hitler or Idi Amin?!

With such a lake of fire at Jesus' return to "set up His Kingdom" - that's how the Contemporary English Version says "Thy Kingdom come". The lake of fire the rebellious and scoffers will ultimately ignite -- the fruit, or maturity of the tares (but for the grace of God there goes any one of us) -- Only because in God's truth proving drama you have to have more than one type of character? And you have to let things run their course? And it seems VERY coincidental to me anymore - how man has certain modern fiery capabilities, and the prophecies of fiery "earthly" events called "the Day of the Lord".

(It's medieval minded men who translated all that into hell.. which should read the grave, because at the 'end' when God makes all things new, it - "death and the grave" are what go to the lake of fire (2 Peter 3:11,12?)

And so.. that's where the spiritual idea of believers being part lake of fire, is actually, I think scripture supported, as it talks about God showing His grace in His chosen (/believers) in the ages to come. (Um, I wonder what verse that is, just read it lately actually.)

His Spirit, I believe shines through us believers/followers, now. Hopefully as love, and a good example of happy life. And we're able to answer questions when someone asks. And maybe plant seeds even when they don't ask.. I truly think it's love that draws, and since God loves all, His love should shine through us. Even more radiantly in "the coming ages"(?)

..sorry to rattle on so.. :laughing7:

p.s. - Especially as God's Holy Spirit, that day of Pentecost - the Spring Holy Days really were fulfilled perfectly even as to the pattern - On that Pentecost, came down as flames of fire. Everyone gets hyped up on tongues of fire, but I think, mostly, that's just the shape of fire.. And the Spirit was given to each one that day like a flame of fire to each one.

In my reading this morning was these verses which seem to fit in this thread really well! ( :HeartThrob: 'em)

Jesus, in Luke 11 -  9"So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10"For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened. 11"Now suppose one of you fathers is asked by his son for a fish; he will not give him a snake instead of a fish, will he? 12"Or if he is asked for an egg, he will not give him a scorpion, will he? 13"If you then, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?"

.."Always be humble and gentle. Patiently put up with each other and love each other. 3Try your best to let God's Spirit keep your hearts united. Do this by living at peace. 4All of you are part of the same body. There is only one Spirit of God, just as you were given one hope when you were chosen to be God's people. 5We have only one Lord, one faith, and one baptism..." Ephesians 4:2-5 great chapter!

Yes, I fully believe so. As an individual we are but a drop in the sea of the body, corporately we are the sea of the body, the Spirit of the body of Christ baptized in love and grace TO BE love and grace to all of mankind, having shed the corrupted (dead skin) to reveal the uncorrupted, hidden from the foundation of the world.

Hi marie,

While reading the above, this came to mind. (Mark 9:49) "For everyone shall be salted with fire".

Also, (Matt. 3:11) and (Luke 3:16) "I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire."

I have wondered if the lake of fire wasn't the Holy Spirit convicting every person and causing them to repent.

:2c:the LOF ......is.....the second death.....and you must be twice dead to partake of it.Allmen are appointed to die ONCE...then

the judgement..where all men learn righteousness...we shall behold the works done in the flesh of man by the wicked one[satan andhis]

and that done of God , Christ andHoly spirit in man"s flesh.......it shall all be displayed openly......the TOKOGAE= both the positive

and negative works done in man's weak, susceptable, corruptible flesh....which resulted in death reigning over all men..and all men

being bound up in disobedience...resulting in all men appointed to die once...the returning of man's body to thedust from which it came..

man's spirit being drawn up to God/Christ...and regenerated. Made perfect raised up in incorruption/power and given perfect

understaning....justified before God..by Christ's covering. The healing of all men and their total reconciliation with God is facilatated

with HIM teaching us,and revealing unto us the mysteries of the knowledge of good and evil..Him declaring unto us'hidden'things...

things we cannot know by judging by the appearance of our eyes...due to them being of the invisible creation.

At present we can recognize the tree by it's fruit displayed in men, strife, murder hatred,theivery,lies..love,goodness,mercy....

an unlawful mixing...when I go to do good..evil is present...that which I donot wish to do,Ido.  I agreein spirit[inner man]with that

whichisgood....who shall save me from 'THIS"[physical body of death/weakness corruption]

the second resurrection happens simulitaneously with the first...at the death of man's flesh..Jesus call's the mans name and his spirit

rises and is drawn up...at the same time any demonic spirits are cast out/or off of that man...and must find another body of dust

whether it be of man or animal. In the very end...these wicked contrast tare spirits are destroyed in the LOF...manis Not nor has Godever

said any man;s spirit cast into the LOF...THAT IS PREPARED FOR SATAN AND HIS DEMONIC SPIRITS.......

THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN IS PREPARED FOR ALL MEN.

Being baptized of Holy spirit and the tongues of fire ...truth...the spirit of truth will consume all the power of the adversary..will

declare God's  eternal, irrevocable judgement on satan and the demons[did you notknow we would judge angels/spirits...we pronounce

God's eternal, irrevocable judgement on satan and his messengers. When men's spirit rise he see's and hears the invisible wicked spirits

that operate on and in men...they learn to make right judgements..see things they did not see, hear things they did not hear.

Yes, Iam baptized with Holy spirit and the fiery tongue judgement of God that the LOF is prepared and ready to consume satan

and his messengers. cloven= Kingdom of heaven prepared for all men../LOF prepared forsatan and his messengers............

Good stuff.

It is always amazing and fulfilling to me when I engage someone in things eternal and I can visibly see the walls crumbling around their hearts and minds.

I see this as if a fire burning and consuming or causing death to what can die. I know this is super fulfilling to all my friends on this forum. What better picture of us rising to our full potential and being the source of a burning fire that will cosume all evil until even death itself is obliterated.

When I think of believers all together doing this I see a lake of fire, of super powered believers, mingling with unbelievers who are given over to the power of our Father for the perfecting of their very beings. A picture of unbelievers being cast into a lake of fire.

Way too exciting!

What angels did you think we would judge?surely not the faithful  Holy ones of the heavenly hosts. Discernment of spirits..begins..with

the confession that Jesus Christ come in the flesh...and we very well know that satan keeps on transforming himself into an angel of light,

causing much confusion unto the people. Because the wicked encompasseth the righteous..right judgement goeth not forth.

I saw satan fall like lightening from heaven.I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome  all the

power of the enemy;NOTHING WILL HARM YOU[specially not the second death] However do not rejoice that the spirits submit

to you,but REJOICE THAT YOUR NAMES ARE WRITTEN IN HEAVEN.

BLESSED ARE THE EYES THAT SEE WHAT YOU SEE. For I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see,but did

not see it,and to hear what you hear, but did not hear it. :2c:

Any angel or human that needs a good cleansing burning God will 'judge' via believers. I see one of our greatest rewards is to be a means (in our Father' hands) to enlighten all.

:Chinscratch: I think we can easily get into extremes.. the verse says He will use the chosen to demonstrate His grace.. He has also the universe and the testimony of all of history..

It's "the HS who will convince the world of sin".. It's always such a temptation to run a bit with God's Word.. perhaps we all do it..

Until our resurrection - as Jesus said - at the last day.. I've never read that as upon each person's last day.. and -- "the rest of the dead rise not until after the thousand years" - when everything is metaphor, not representing literal, we only end up with more confusion (the forehead/psyche called mystery  babble? Every one's opinions of what the word says, instead of the genuine shine and glimmer of the sWord of Truth. Often I'd like to only discuss using only quotes from His Word.. working on that, lol. Direct, unchanged, quotes.)

I see a beautiful organization of God that spans the ages and has it's fulfillment in the Lord's long second advent (of 3 peaks - 1.Jesus' return, 2.'Day of Judgment/Atonement, 3.the all in all event of making ALL things new.

[Represented by Trumpets, 'Day' of Atonement, Tabernacles?]

I think it's great news which Isaiah 2 says about the Day of the LORD, that only He, in that day will be exalted, vs. 17 - And - Vs. 22, "Put no more trust in man, who has only the breath in his nostrils. Of what account is he?" (I also think this verse means what it says, man only has breath in his nostrils.. until death, when there is no breath (pneuma) tho God possesses the blueprint of the dna of ALL - then "at resurrection is when believers put on immortality".

So I guess i only agree up to a point.. that He will use those given faith to believe during this life, to demonstrate His grace.. but not entirely. All things glorifying Him, but how gracious He is to let us serve in the coming ages (Paul mentioned, who was "chosen to see God's will"/plan/works/blueprint/working out..  :dsunny: :Peace2:

And I totally can't understand how LOF mentioned where they are - at Jesus' return; at the final defeat of the adversary; and when Father makes ALL things new and becomes 100% all in all, do not suggest to others literal fiery events!

To go along "with" the truth that His essence is as a consuming purifying fire.. so praise also purifies.. and thanksgiving.. But are those a LOF.. in a sense. And is not the entire. He alone possesses the entire Spirit of Himself. (Surely?)
:Peace2:

I see the 7 churches are the  race Paul speaks of  each [Lamp  with fire and Light ] has its chastisements and   reward  of  greater light   , I see the gaining of the  7 lamps of  fire [eyes  of the  Spirits ] or knowledge  of GOD  as the  fulfilling  in CHRIST  anointing   to a greater  understanding  to the  end  .
Jesus  is the reward   , His  loving  Father   and rewards are with Him .

Amen, Rose :HeartThrob:

I get caught up sometimes in how there's so many modern miracles and wonders, to wow us, of a technological (and warfare) scale. (Including fiery capability.) Now they even have the ability to make holograms. How are believers to not be deceived? By knowing His Word - especially the NT, of course. (There's a strong trend now to get caught up in the spirit of metaphor. But if the primary thing of the scriptures is metaphor, that again is confusion, and a thing of the flesh. Every person's ideas ABOUT the Word trumping the Word itself! Crazy times. --- Even Revelation, tho told using symbols, etc, is still literal! ....So much of prophecy, not understood, but gives such clear signs to clearly follow! In days some folks, one day, will be in. But as we all know, with UR and with Truth, it's like whistling in howling winds.. Or having laryngitis.. :laughing7:

....so the idea of LOF being earthly literal (not afterlife or 100% spiritual or metaphor) is hard to imagine..
so 'hell' hangs in there as a sort of shadow, even to those who don't believe in hell..

In Luke 17:29, the Lord says, "as it was in the days of Noah.. and in the day Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed all."

The word "rained" is #G1026 - "moisen, rain, send rain"

verse - https://biblehub.com/interlinear/luke/17-29.htm

rain - https://biblehub.com/greek/1026.htm

moisten, wet, rain, water...

I think it is true that,

"Our God is a consuming fire!" Purity consumes impurity.. Life consumes death.. Light, darkness.. Good, evil

And ( & + )

Peter wrote - "the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. (vs.11) Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, (rev.7:9?) (12)looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! (13) But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens, and, a new earth, in which righteousness dwells." --- And love will rule! --  :dsunny: 2 Peter 3:10-11 & 12-13

..."The bear will graze with the cow, and the lion will eat straw like the ox."

The thing I'm focusing on --  no after life burning except burning regret/repentance upon judgment 'day'..  And the burning of the old heavens and earth, when all is subjected.. That medieval minded translators turned earthly, fiery judgments (results, culmination, consequences) into the heathen world ideas of after life punishments for bad citizens.. But such a thing never entered His mind, Yhwh said when Israel fell into the practice of the Canaanite nations around her, and sacrificed children and babies live in fire to Baal-Molech. ...not knowing they would reap what they sowed, earthly, fiery consequences..
  :2c:
The lake of fire is vast.. kind of like the bottomless pit (of potential) imperfection, or that is "missing the mark" is? And surely as (genuine) born of the Spirit children of God (of Yhwh, Father, Love) we are part of that consuming / purifying fire..
      :dsunny:

p.s. ..but compared to love is a 'pond'?

This is kind of funny..

I think of part of the lake of fire (prophesied) as being the results and consequences of mankind's doing, the culmination of mankind's doings, ways and wars.. fiery results (besides our Father's essence as a consuming, purifying  fire.. thus His children share that - evidenced by the tongues / flames of fire on that day of Pentecost of Acts 2)

But considering the prophesied lof as results and culmination of man's ages, I came across this 'trivia' - heard it on a commercial so googled the idea and this is what came up -

Google search Quote -

Halitosis (bad breath) is mostly caused by sulphur-producing bacteria that normally live on the surface of the tongue and in the throat. Sometimes, these bacteria start to break down proteins at a very high rate and odorous volatile sulphur compounds (VSC) are released from the back of the tongue and throat.

:laughing7: sulphur from the human tongue.. how fitting!

The Consuming Fire -George MacDonald-

If God is the Lake of Fire and Divinity, then what does it mean when they talk about those whose names are not written in the book of life being thrown into the Lake of Fire.

I think 'Day' of Judgment is an age and anyone who's name is not written/enrolled in the book by end of that AGE would go to lake of fire.. be caught up in the "making of ALL things new" (Rev.21:1-5, when "the elements melt in a furious heat") which is also the "all in all" event of 1 Corinthians 15:27-28(22-28!)

But Jesus said He "will draw all to Himself".. (Jn.12:32) And Psalm 22:27 says "All the ends of Earth.. will turn to the LORD and all the families of the nations will worship/rejoice before Him".

The "dead/asleep in Christ and the living believers rise at Jesus' return" (2nd half of 1 Thessalonians 4) and "the rest of the dead rise not, until after the thousand years" Rev.20.

2 Peter 2:9 - "God knows how to preserve the unjust for correction on 'day' of judgment." - Translated "for punishment" which is VERY misleading. The greek word = "primary meaning - to prune, curtail, correct".

But translators LOVE to run with verses and words. I thank the Lord for good bible language apps! Like biblehub dot com.
