Here is some more thoughts on the idea that we are still being created. We are in the 6th day of creation as we read this very writing.
Pneuma, if you read this, I thank you for opening my eyes to this. I have some additional thoughts for ya.
Now here is what I came across.
The sixth day is when God 'creates' man and the seventh day God rests.
BUT
John 5.17 And Jesus answered them, My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.
If God is still working then He hasn't entered the rest period (the 7th day)yet.
Another point I see is that from my point of view this makes sense because God saw what He made on the 6th day and pronounced it 'Very good'. Now I see some good things in 'man' but to say 'man' is complete in goodness or 'very good' is a bit of a strectch at this point in the game.
Claypot
Hi Clay as you know I agree brother and more and more people are comming to see this as well.
But this is still a hard sell so to speak for many because they still beleive Gen.1:26-27 is speaking of the first man Adam which is NOT the case, it is a prophesy of Christ and us in Christ.
Gods image and likeness is NOT the image and likeness of the first man Adam and this is clearly seen in 1Co.15 for if we are in Gods image and likeness why then do we need to be changed?
Although I have posted this many times on the old board in different discussions concerning Adam I am going to post it again here for those that are new to Tents, hopefully it will be of help to some.
1 Corinthians 15:35-36
35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? 36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:
In order for man to be quickened he must die first. This is the order of arrangement of God Himself. Even or Lord and saviour had to die before He took on His glorified body.
What is true of Him is also true of every man and this includes Adam. Until Adam died he could not be quickened unto life. That is to say until our old man dies , we cannot put on our heavenly glorified body.
1 Corinthians 15:37-38
37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain: 38 But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.
Now here we see a change made in the grain that is sown. The grain is not the body which shall come forth , but is bare grain. Once the grain is planted in the earth ( dies) it springs up into life. Now some may grow up to be wheat or some other grain, for the bare grain is not the plant that shall be.
Adam ,like everyone else is bare grain at first. He had to die to be quickened unto life. For only in resurrection can one put on the incorruptible body.
This bare grain is the natural body ( old man ) that must die.
The scriptures then go on to show us that there is a difference in the bodies. For God gives it the body that pleases Him.
1 Corinthians 15:39-41
39 All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. 40 There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.
1 Corinthians 15:42-44
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: 43 It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: 44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
Now this natural body which Adam had and we also have is sown in corruption. For without resurrection our bodies are corrupt. In the resurrection our bodies are raised in incorruption. The natural body that Adam had and we also have is sown in dishonour , but raised in glory. Sown in weakness ,raised in power. Sown a natural body , raised a spiritual body. All these scriptures tell us that the natural body must come first ,then die to be raised a spiritual body. Only in resurrection is there a glorified body, therefore Adam had to die in order to put on a glorified body.
1 Corinthians 15:45-46
45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
Now the first man Adam was MADE a living soul, the following scripture says that the living soul is natural, or a natural body as the preceding scripture states. And this is how Adam was fashioned. This is all in contrast to Jesus Christ which was made a life giving spirit.
Living soul is also translated living creature. Soul and creature both come from the same Hebrew word nephesh.
1 Corinthians 15:47-49
47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.
The scriptures go on to say the first man (Adam) is of the earth, earthy and as we have borne the image of the earthy ,which image Adam had, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. Now is the image that Adam bore that of a natural earthy body the image of God? No , this natural earthy body must die first in order to be resurrected, for only in resurrection are we given a heavenly body.
Now in conclusion Paul says
1 Corinthians 15:50-51
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
That is to say the life of the flesh ( that Adam and we have) cannot inherit the kingdom of God.
This life of the flesh must die first for corruption cannot inherit incorruption.
We must all be changed.
The bare grain (Adam) that was first planted, is not the body that shall be.
That which thou sowest is not quickened EXCEPT IT DIE.
Adam could not have had this incorruptible body , or he would not have been able to die.
That which is born of God CANNOT sin.
God bless.
Hey Pneuma,
Glad you posted your thoughts again.
I put down my thoughts about God's rest vs His working and the 'very good' idea because I did not see it in your writings.
I too see Jesus Christ in all of creation and of course, the Scriptures. I don't see Him as coming into or going out of creation or going out of or entering into man. He is always present in every aspect of life. It is unveiling that is needed or in other words, it is a revelation of Jesus Christ that is needed and is granted. For those who have ears to hear and eyes to see.

QuoteI put down my thoughts about God's rest vs His working and the 'very good' idea because I did not see it in your writings.
Hi Clay, in discussions on the 6th day I have used Jn.5:17 few times to show God is still working today, but cannot rememeber if I have ever used it in the articals I have written concerning Adam.
But this point below I never put together with the above.
QuoteAnother point I see is that from my point of view this makes sense because God saw what He made on the 6th day and pronounced it 'Very good'. Now I see some good things in 'man' but to say 'man' is complete in goodness or 'very good' is a bit of a strectch at this point in the game.
But it does make sense to me brother. Kind of like moving from the glory of terrestrial to the glory of the celestrial or from good to very good.
Pneuma, you wrote "But it does make sense to me brother. Kind of like moving from the glory of terrestrial to the glory of the celestrial or from good to very good."
I agree and what I was thinking also is how God 'sees' the end from the beginning. He is the Beginning and the End. Even if it's in His 'minds eye' as we say He knows the outcome. If the outcome of man was that man would not be perfected in accord with His (God's) desires then the 'very good' would not have been pronounced.
I like the way one guy summed up God's 'foreknowledge' and 'predestination' with keeping the idea of man's will in mind. He said it's like the casinos. They don't have to control a customers each and every move. The casino owners just stack the odds in their favor and they make billions. They get their way while all the while people think they 'have a good chance of winning'. God has stacked the results of creation in His favor. No matter what we do the odds are in God's favor.
And for a footnote, I just can't for the life of me separate any individual from the whole or the whole from the individual. Get my drift?

Pneuma, you asked about my comment which was " I just can't for the life of me separate any individual from the whole or the whole from the individual."
I just mean that, to me, whatever happens to one person will affect me as well as what happens to me affects all others. Kind of my take on the idea that we are all in Adam in one sense and all in Christ in another sense. We are in a process of development.

Thanks for the clarification Clay, and I agree we are in the process of development.
:2c: Hi; how about this thought? The Spirit of Christ that is the son of God, IS the 7th day. In so being, the Kingdom that was offered to them in the natural 5th and 6th days, has continued to be available to any that will believe and receive. Which is why Jesus was able to declare (means show openly) His generation, IN him. In the 7th day, the blind shall see, the deaf shall hear, and the lame shall walk. IN His Spirit, all these things happen, and it is available now, spiritually speaking, and if heaven and earth come into agreement/covenant, then it manifests in the natural to be shown openly what comes in the Spirit without observation. Blessings to all........ :cloud9:

It appears to me that what has happened in previous generations affect us today also, though the people of my grandparents generation or even my father and mothers generation save for a very few are all but gone from this world, yet we are still suffering the wakes from the waves thrown out by those generations.
Example: Look how many christians Joseph Stalin had slaughtered during his rule in Russia, enough in number to make Hitler look like a Kindergarten kid, many working directly under Stalin were cabalist talmudic jews who saw to the labor camps, prisons, collective farms and the likes and the killing of christians,
now then world war two came along and Hitler wared against Russia. Adolf Hitler did not want the German people to suffer under
the incroachment of Russian jewry, some very powerful and with money, so anyway we know what happened. Now here it is over 60 years since that war has been over
and we are still putting up with the wake of that war, got to watch what ya say these days you might be labeled anti semetic even if you aren't, so you see we are suffering from the evils of previous generations to this very day, you can say any rotten thing you want about Hitler, but don't talk about the millions of Christians that were slaughterd off, tortured or worked to death in some labor camp or who saw to it these various things were carried out before world war two over in Russia.
Claypot,
I would hope to say I agree with you, I'd be a liar if I said I didn't, we are still being completed, so that means God is still working and if God is still working then this age is not in the sabbath rest, I believe that comes after the age of the ages is finished, we may come into what is known as working in rest NOW, but the work goes on until God is all in all, the 6th day shall be complete when God shall be all in all, that is my viewpoint on the subject of this thread.

Hi All,
How close do you think we are to the 7th day? What are your thoughts on this?
CHB
Hello all, I would like to jump in - if I may?
I believe we are now stepping into the 7th day. Bear with me, this is how I see it:
2 Peter 3
:8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
Chronologically speaking from the scriptures themselves, we can see that from the fall of Adam to Moses – 2000 yrs has passed (2 Peter 3:8) = 2 days.
Chronologically speaking from the scriptures themselves, we can see that from Moses to Jesus – 2000 yrs has passed (2 Peter 3:8) = 2 days.
So far we see from Adam to Jesus – it has been 4 days.
We currently live by a calendar at which its starting point is the birth of Christ. (There was a mistake, give or take 6yrs)
We can safely say it has been 2000yrs since the birth of Christ (we are in the year 2007) (2 Peter 3:8) = 2 days.
From Christ (2nd Adam) the 2nd day has finished and we are now stepping into the 3rd day. From Adam the 6th day has finished and we are now stepping into the 7th day. The 7th and the 3rd day are very important & significant when looking at Gods calendar. In this day (3rd/7th day) we all shall be perfected. This 3rd/7th day is when we shall rule & reign with Christ. We are stepping into the Kingdom Age.
My thoughts anyway.
Blessings

Hi God_Chaser_,
Very interesting. I have a few questions if you don't mind? If we are stepping into the 7th day, wasn't, or isn't, Christ suppose to return? What do you see happening in this 7th day? Is this the Millennium spoken of in Revelation? Why are we still here? Sorry for so many questions but this is really interesting to me.

CHB,
A point in scripture on this: Christs return, which I no doubt do not share alone is pointed out in:
Cr 2 5:16 wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh; yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh yet NOW henceforth know WE (him) no more.
It appears That Christ does not return in flesh and blood, no, we shall know him no more after the flesh, when Christ told his disciples before he assended he had to leave us because until he did he could not send his spirit upon us, he has never left us orphaned, he has sent the spirit who shall lead us into the 7th day.
That is my 2 mites to offer on our way into the 7th day.
Peace,

So, do you think we will become spirit beings in the 7th day? What are your thoughts on this? Also, where will we be?

Hi CHB, Sorry this is posted late (we are currently in the middle of a conference, we have Roy Richmond here teaching this week – it is very exciting).
I do agree with Fire Walker that we may not see Christ return in flesh & blood. From the teaching I sit under and from my own studies I believe Christ's return will be via the manifestations of the sons of God. I believe though, we are currently being refined and perfected so the sons of God will manifest (we are in the Day of Atonement). If you are asking of Rev 20:4 – then yes I believe this is where the "overcomer" (manifested sons of God) rules & reigns with Christ.
May I butt in with an opinion on your question to Fire Walker on becoming spirits in the 7th day? I believe in the 3rd (7th) day we will step into our glorified bodies. May I put this to you? When did Jesus step into His glorified body? It was on the 3rd day when He resurrected after His crucifixion. And Christ being the firstborn among many brethren (Rom 8:29), was simply a pattern of who we are to become on this day.
My thoughts anyway.

Hi 007, very close to the way I see it also, and welcome to the board.
Why, thank ya kind sir (with a heavy southern accent) ...
007,
Can you elaborate a little about being in the Day of Atonement. I know that Yom Kippur was a few days ago and this is a season of preparation for the Feast of Tabernacles. Do you see days in the OT feasts becoming years in our day? Some believe that the Feast of Trumpets one of these years will see the resurrection of the Overcoming dead and the changing of the living Overcomers into manifest sons several weeks later on the Feast of Tabernacles. Is this how you see it?
I have believe in the principle of the Manifest Sons and the fulfillment of the Feast of Tabernacles for many years and have the hope of being counted worthy of being in that number, but have never heard the Day of Atonement mentioned in this way so it caused me to perk up my spiritual ears to know more.
Thanks for your thoughts,
John

This makes sense about the 3rd day. How far into the third day do you think we will go before getting our glorified bodies? Do you think everyone will receive their new bodies at different times?

:cloud9: That's the same as He's shown me, God-Chaser.........but don't forget, God's day begins at night ;).....and the EVENING and the day were the first day. And I agree on the day of atonement.....it is being offered as a spiritual experience, just like all the others were spiritual experiences. But it is up to the Father who and when, each man in his own order, as no one comes to the Father without Him calling them. Everything natural Israel experienced naturally, we will walk out and experience spiritually, if we go on to KNOW the Lord, as Hosea tells us. Blessings to you and welcome to the board.........

cardinal,
I agree, what has been experienced in the natural is even NOW being experienced in the spiritual as we speak, and as I am given to see this though we have not yet been changed until each man of us in our own order is destined to be where we were chosen in him before the foundations of the world was laid. Now we are being perfected spiritualy, what is born of spirit is spirit what is flesh and blood does not enter in.

Fire Walker
:cloud9: Amen Firewalker......it is happening now...... :wink1: it's hard to argue with a man with an experience, isn't it? Blessings to you....
Something is definetely happening, I can testify at least of myself. I have always prayed and waited on God here and there throughout my life, but several months ago, God did something to me, I saw a "instantaneous" flash of my eternal self, this lasted for no longer than a second, maybe two, but since this I have wanted to do nothing but know God, from the moment I wake up, to the moment I fall asleep, God is on my mind and spirit waits upon him. This was nothing that I "determined" to do, but rather God who made this change in me, it was and is out of my hands, and I thank God often for this, giving him glory and praise. A few days later while waiting on God, I heard the words "I have quartered you", the words completely interrupted my meditation and were audible and I was agast at the thought, I was confused to as what this meant, and the first thing that came into my mind was a mid-evil quartering, you know where they hook ropes to your arms and legs and rip you apart, I prayed for understand of this and looked up quartered in the dictionary, and here is the meaning I hope this meant or have at least I think it is what was meant "to provide with lodging or shelter". Even to this day, about a half a year later, from the moment I wake up, to the moment I fall asleep, my focus is on God.
:cloud9: That's wonderful AM! I can't say for a certainty this is what He means (He'll reveal it to you in His season), but what came into my mind was what He gave me on the 4 parts of the soul. It's under this post...... "Discussions Relating to Universal Reconciliation / Book of Revelation / Re: A Thousand years".
I went thru an experience in the Spirit where He made this life in me, and in a sense, He "quartered" me in that He made me aware of each aspect of the four parts of my soul, (four chambers of our heart) one at a time, and then He dealt with that part individually bringing each into submission to the Christ in me. This followed with a literal feeling of the spiritual fire of God "consuming" the offering I had submitted thru agreement with His Spirit and His guiding me. I put into words what I gleaned from the experience in that post. Blessings to you in your walk...... :HeartThrob:
One part that I am experiencially seeing fulfilled is in the day of rest. I notice in the scriptures that the seventh day is a day of rest and that all of the festivals were sabbaths where no man could work.
I have been in some kind of ministry for over 20 years, but for the last few years, I have been prevented by the Lord from doing any work. Of course, I go to my job and bring home a living, but all of the spiritual work is being done by Him internally.
For a long time, I felt rejected and wondered why the Lord had put me on the shelf. I wondered if I had offended Him, but I knew this could not be true as I was learning so much at His feet.
I now feel like the disciples who had worked all night and caught nothing in their nets. I think in this day that at His Word, we will receive instructions as He does the work and the harvest of the earth will be so large that the nets will threaten to break.
John
edit
:cloud9: AM, there are 4 levels of teaching us about Him. They are hidden in plain sight in Ephesians 3:8. When He starts to reveal to you thru the Spirit it is as the height. It sounds like to me that is where you are at in your walk. He must cleanse you of all fear, so that you KNOW He is in control, and then He can do amazing things with you as He takes you into higher heights in Christ Jesus, all the time putting spiritual flesh on the bones (scriptures) for you.
Think about it. How could He catch up Phillip, for instance, and him not be terrified? The natural man would probably die of a heart attack, but the man that is walking in the Spirit knowing Him as FATHER, has no fear; it has been spiritually "cut out". Cut out, by love that has been perfected in Him and thru Him. Press in as never before. Blessings to you in your walk....... :HeartThrob:
A blast from the past can be as refreshing as a breathe of fresh air. I am posting to this older thread because it is almost 6 years old and kind of fits the discussion we had going back then about us (mankind) being at least in part still in the 6th day.
Might prove to be an interesting discussion by revisiting this old thread.

This is very interesting, and makes sense that God is still in the process of making mankind into His image (the work of the sixth day). We certainly are not that complete image now. I hope you are right in that the seventh day is on the horizon. I groan to be fully clothed and put on incorruption. It is exciting to think what all creation will look like on the seventh day. How much longer will we remain in this sixth day process?
Time will show where we are at.
Jesus was tempted in every area,so if there is any area in our own lives where we are challenged to overcome, we must go through it .
I pray that as we all go through it will be short and sweet and the results are quick.
Look at cardinal as an example, I see her as an overcomer but what a lot she had to endure!
Consider it pure blessing as you go through trial and tribulation!
Let us all have grace for those going through the birth pains
Blessings
I liked what Card said about God's day begins at night. That means we should see great darkness in the 7th day before we see the light of Christ returning, and prophecy predicts this--the Great Tribulation. That means we are in the night watches now--first at dusk, second at midnight, third at cock-crowing.
It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready, even if he comes in the second or third watch of the night. Lk 12:38
Watchman, what of the night? The watchman says, "The morning comes and also the night..." [Isaiah 21:11-12]
