Training for Godliness

1 Tim 4;1-3 " Howbeit the Spirit expressly says that in the later seasons some will revolt from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and to teachings of demons,
speaking falsehood in hypocrisy, whose own consciences have been seared,
forbidding to marry, demanding abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who are faithful and know the truth."

vs 7,8 " But reject the profane and silly myths; rather train yourself for godliness;
for bodily exercise is of value for a little while,
but godliness is of value for ALL things, because if holds a promise for the present life and for the coming life."

* Godliness- reverential feeling, devotion

Coming closer to our Father trains us well.
He disciplines us so as not to be so distracted by the temporary stuff.
Also enables us to imitate Him when He shows us the right path on which we now walk all the time.
ALL things working together develops the faith as this path unfolds before our eyes.

  The Very source of Love   , comes from   His Holy Spirit  and quit  focusing on the sinful nature  , it is judged  already  as  earthly sensual and devilish wisdom .Gods Word says it is foolishness  to Him  and to become wise we have to  become foolish  to   the world 1 Corinthians 3

  It is all so pointless without  LOVE  being the core of our spiritual reality 

  Know you are of God   when  you remain in the Love of God   in the face of adversity  , pretty powerful      Word here to   trust in


1 John 2 1My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate before the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2He Himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours alone, but also for the sins of the whole world.

A New Commandment
7Beloved, I am not writing you a new commandment, but an old one, which you have had from the beginning.

9If anyone claims to be in the light but hates his brother, he is still in the darkness.


10Whoever loves his brother remains in the light, and there is no cause of stumbling in him.

11But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks in the darkness. He does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.

Do Not Love the World
15Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.


16For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not from the Father but from the world.


17The world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God remains forever.

Beware of Antichrists

18Children, it is the last hour; and just as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have appeared.

This is how we know it is the last hour.


19They went out from us, but they did not belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us.

But their departure made it clear that none of them belonged to us.

20You, however, have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.

21I have not written you because you lack knowledge of the truth, but because you have it, and because no lie comes from the truth.



22Who is the liar, if it is not the one who denies that Jesus is the Christ?

This is the antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son.


23No one who denies the Son can have the Father; whoever confesses the Son has the Father as well.

romans 8  But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn't have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.
  this is the PROOF  OF LOVING GOD FIRST  [IN THE SON JESUS CHRIST] WORD FROM THE BEGINNING...........
Continue in Him
24As for you, let what you have heard from the beginning remain in you.

If it does, you will also remain in the Son and in the Father. 25And this is the promise that He Himself made to us: eternal life.

26I have written these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you.

27And as for you, the anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you.


But just as His true and genuine anointing teaches you about all things, so remain in Him as you have been taught.

28And now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears, we may be confident and unashamed before Him at His coming.

29If you know that He is righteous, you also know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.


STAY IN THE SPIRIT OF LIFE  :HeartThrob:    don't look back into the old fleshly realm    ,  the agenda of this age is [time,  season  hour   ]   political or religious is   self serving and  all mankind in this   darkness  are liars  and murderers whom lack the wisdom of the   Father and Son Spirits  working in them      [Seven Spirits of God   seven eyes of Fire & Light & Life , to the fulness and completeness of His HOLY work  in you all  spiritual children of the Day and Light of the world   THEY SHINE  IN &   though you  ]

Amen! :iagree: Very good post(s)! And thoughts.. Coming close to the Father trains us very well if we allow it.. A chip on the shoulder can impede as can so many other things, as we know. But if we have been given this grace.. to believe in the way of salvation God our heavenly Father has provided and, thus, will draw near to God, in faith and trust, knowing that those things are truth, we will not fear to draw near to Him.. to receive guidance and which will provide fruit.. for the fruit of the Spirit... "against such there is no law".. And as one receives of His Spirit, we are transformed and grow/progress. He and His character rubs off on us! That's why I truly feel we in essence have one rule, one commandment - which the unknowing of course, can wrest.. but no matter. If we truly love our heavenly Father, we will draw close to Him, for we love, revere and need Him.. "thirst for Him like the deer thirsts for streams of fresh water". And this all results in - love. If we truly love Him, we will love our fellow person. ...And will cut him/her some slack, imo :)

As we grow and recognize His great mercy to our self, we are able to appreciate being merciful toward others, not holding their flaws against them (especially when we recognize our own flaws are like a plank and theirs is like a splinter).. When I first came to the Lord and was trying churches, it seemed (to me) like everyone was trying to teach to each other. (You have no need of any man to teach you.) Like every guidance from the Lord was for them to admonish someone else.. instead of admonishing their self. I came to think of this as being of the flesh/that lower carnal, flawed imperfect nature.

When I first start with a church i can 'see' the Lord, can sense His Spirit and His leading, then after a time, the people become more apparent.. the pressure to conform.. speak using christian phrases or woe (be thought of as less than). I don't know, perhaps I am too sensitive or maybe paranoid! And I'm not cutting them some slack! (oh dear.)

But.. so many folks of the world think of christians as haters.. (how sad is that!) And I realize a lot of that is unceasing propaganda, where if you don't enthusiastically embrace everything the world embraces you are perceived to be a 'hater'... All vanity, vanity, I guess.. The adversary playing all sides.. Heck if Yahweh is going to condemn and let be tormented forever and ever and that's somehow merciful then shining a light on people's sins is a mercy so they will repent.. only now that the world believes there is no God.. and no need for Him, having explained to their self where life came from (the real fairy tale and myth) - I don't think that works any more. Man decides good and evil for their self.. So now, more than ever, I believe, love is the only drawing force. (So to speak, of course there are exceptions to every rule as they say?) But love is the witness. We are made in His image, so humans do love, though imperfectly, but in Him, through Jesus/in Jesus - well Yahweh is the real thing! And for us, and in us, "the light shines ever brighter unto the perfect day". Jesus being the perfect representation of His character, and we shall be like Him/Jesus, for we will see Him as He (truly) is. -- Love. And love is the fulfilling of the law, and is the magnet and the majesty.. :HeartThrob:
