do you see us as works completed yet in process?

I see our position as completed; yet our growth is a continual, on-going, process- just like from childhood to adulthood is a process, and then as an adult we still learn something new every day.
If that was not a continual process we would be doing the same thing forever- doing that in the flesh we get bored witless, the spirit is greater, and we  will be doing new things and creating more forever- a much better state of being- under the supreme guidance of our loving Father.

One possibility is that since He will abolish "all rule power and authority" on the way to God becoming "all in all"- there will be no consideration of anything other than love and grace, each one having been given a portion from which to share with and contribute to the whole, in a celebration of infinite beauty and harmony and creativity in which every being, a child of God in love fufilled, all gathered around the Lamp, intermingled drops of living water, through which the rainbow is manifest(7 colors, 7 spirits of God) in infinite variety and joy.

hi rosered, i really don't have a clue what you mean in your last statement.

like i said before, i really am a practical man and i strive to put forth the Word of God in as practical and simplified form as possible for the saving of some who don't speak christianese,

i do believe all are saved and all are being saved and all will be saved.

i see it like this. there is really 2 parts to our one salvation. God saved us through Jesus Christ, period. Many of us don't realize this salvation so it does us no good, does it? there are those of us who, thanks to God, see it and rejoice in it! full salvation.

all will realize it eventually.

it will be nice to shed this mortal coil and return to our previous home!

well back to the reason for this thread....i am finding preston eby's writings interesting. he puts spiritual emphasis in many areas of scripture.

concordant publishing concern has always been refreshing for me too.

the balance is returning for me. i was really getting far too involved in the physical. the assembly of god church i attend is great but i feel very physical vibes there like praying for physical healing and for all kinds of temporal issues. i'm not saying these things are wrong to pray for, just when it gets too unbalanced i feel a connection to God is slipping.

how do you deal with the parts of scripture where we are told to pray for the sick and they will recover..............yet most don't. even my church brothers get frustrated with this.

I know! Right? How I wish when I pray for someone sick they would be healed!

Why is it? I wonder why not..  :Chinscratch: at least it's not just me.. though that's a rather selfish way for me to be looking at it..!

It quite boggles the mind! Or it does mine, when I think of all the diversity of life! Oh the creativity.. I'm in awe of our chickens we have running around.. and dogs and cats.. just think of all the creatures of which I haven't a clue! Some swim, some fly.. Amazing.. How awesome it will be when "the lion will eat straw like the ox and the bear will graze with the cow.." There's many fascinating plants on the planet too!

I used to have a question 'why is the universe so VERY big?' (wouldn't this lesson of what's good and what's evil play out better in a small universe? :dontknow:

But finally I realized, it's because HE's so BIG!! It all being (surely?) made of Him, and being a reflection of Him (?) All He has made, and all He is building, the design, the blueprint.. All so incredible! And we know so little of it!!

And best of all is "Christ in us.. the hope (expectation, confidence) of glory (great worth)..

I  know you ask  an  excellent  question  about   healing   and  we all have  wondered  that  ! , I do believe .

I recall  being in a Pizza hut    and waiting on  a pizza and  started talking to this  man   about   the Lord .

This was many years ago , I was new in the faith of the salvation of all .

  He was telling me how much his own wife's faith was wavering  because of  all    evil in the world  and where was God in all of it ...

Being  ''new ''   I had no real answer for him and it made  me wonder as well  . I just continued to pray for them , though I never saw them again  in the physical  realm .

  I just remember telling  him , What I believed at the time  , I  told Him , God is perfect in all His ways  , His work is a perfect work  and will not fail .

I really believed it but did not know how any more than anyone else  , I could not explain this faith in God ..

I know now it is   ,   given  over to satan   for   the destruction of our flesh   that we be saved in the Day of the Lord .
  and not to put so much confidence in our flesh and others flesh   and strength   , because those days are numbered ...

And Jesus said it   Himself  that ,    His Kingdom is NOT of this world  .  I hope he and his wife also know this now too.   

God has given the increase of   TRUTH & grace   and the gifts of the Holy SPIRIT   to grow in .

I do believe that is the healing Jesus  was speaking of    , because it   also speaks spiritually of being sin sick   in James  as well as Peter  being  every bit whole   except for his feet and to wash one another's  feet ,

  As     the feet to me ,pertain to   being taught of the Lord   Himself and  sitting  at His feet   by the washing of the water of the word , being comforted by His  presence Spiritually speaking , being connected though Christ and  in His protection .

Also to make our consciences clean  and able to  declare the good news of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ  to anyone whom asks  without fear  or torment .

I do believe the carnal man and  his thoughts [death]  are an enemy against the Sprint of Life   and why Jesus when healed so many said,   Tell no man   , because they were in the dark about the Light  and could not comprehend    it  and would hinder    the work of God .

  I have seen  physical healing done   as well as spiritual healing   , that no one could  boast , except in the Lord about it ..

I do believe it is of Gods choosing   to release   or retain anyone  in this life  of their mortal   existence  ,  knowing now even these days of our flesh   were shortened      by Gods grace    to all the evil  , everyone is  exposed too  on a constant   basis in this world ...   
  To be 100% in the Spirit   is our goal brother ,,,   I love the times of refreshing and  being in the  Spirit   and  look forward to more of   Him and less and less of the pain and suffering of the days of our  flesh knowing they are making  perfect though suffering   in anyone's  spiritual  life .
  We are witnesses to Gods glory ,   as well as so many  gone though them already ...  :icon_flower:

Thank goodness His kingdom is not of man's world.. not of mammon.. or yes His followers would take up swords- this happened, or SEEMED to happen when the faith became used for politics, or man's world..

So sad that the creation itself was subjected to futility, when man (male n female) who were given dominion of land and sea, by their disobedience became futile..

But what Father and Son created was all good - "behold it was all good" and glorious!! Even in its now imperfection, it is still miraculous and full of wonder and unbelievable diversity of life - I mean I'm in awe of my humble creatures, our chickens :laughing7: They are so cute and also interesting to watch (an African creature originally, did you know that? I didn't.. they've made my flower beds look a bit like a jungle when they are in them making pathways..)

Then when i watch discovery world or something whether about earth creatures ( some which swim, some which fly, etc) and some of the totally interesting details about them, I am very awed.. so much beauty! And the Earth itself with trees, mountains, streams.. all glorious.. a reflection surely, of HIS beauty.. Then to think of the hand.. the eye. The smile.. A baby's face.. kittens, puppies.. and we see such a TINY portion of it all! Then how immensely HUGE - not yelling :laughing7: but on this tiny phone screen, so much easier to capitalize than italic or underline..

Just imagine!! When heaven (the 3rd heaven? Above the 1st/atmosphere and the 2nd the universe) comes to the Earth!

It will be more beautiful and glorious than it was at creation, for all will be fully convinced of good from evil (life from mom-life? WhAt? Non-life!)

But thank goodness the Kingdom is not of man's world or the not in union nature of man (commonly translated 'the flesh' and it need  not rest upon the arm of the flesh.. not upon man, especially not upon man in our imperfect condition.. which thank God for His deliverance of us from imperfect nature and from an imperfect body, to one day have one which will reflect heavenly perfection.

Not of this world. No reason for swords.. Many that are first will be last.. Not competition, etc, self glory.. but Love will rule. :HeartThrob:

fantastic and heartfelt words rose and marie!!!!

i am asking God right now how to get from here to there if you get my drift. one response i keep getting is, whatever you feed will grow and of course, whatever you starve will die out.

one challenge i have is many on this site have such huge steak dinners they are handing out when i fear i can only handle baby food! not anyone's fault. just takes a lot of looking and asking till we all find that porridge that is just right. i thank God there is a lot of food for me on this site.
